Come on kate, ask for some sour creme or yogurt if your chilli is too spicy. Chilli is variable, there are spice grades so just being chilli is no guarantee it's going t be mild you can get 5+chilli burn which is cray hot. These places expect you to ask for it to be cooled if it's too much for you so they have those condiments to stir in upon request.

Last time I was on a flight it was Air Canada, BWI to Toronto to Vancouver to Sydney, round trip. Each time we boarded a plane we had to listen to the same safety speech and sometimes the duty-free sales pitch too. Each time anyone spoke on the intercom they had to repeat everything they said in French because it's Air Canada. So at least ten to thirty minutes each flight was devoted to listening to crap I already knew/didn't care about twice. Oh and whenever they told us to put our phones in airplane mode the safety video that was playing would show a phone with the Eiffel Tower in the background. Canada, YOU'RE NOT FRANCE. The only reason why people speak French in Canada is because the French kicked a bunch of people out of Europe and put them on the St. Laurence river.
