@larsvortue I own both CR250 (Antique Amber/ Orange 🍊 burst) with flamed maple top and CR300 (Aged Vintage burst). Both guitars sound terrific and better than Epiphone Standard LP, ESP EC-256, EC-401, EC-1000. CR250 sounds a bit brighter and louder, maybe because of flamed maple top, than CR300.
Cort builds very good guitars for many many brands, for ex. PRS SE line, Ibanez, Squier, Fender, Schecter, Musicman, G&L tribute series and many more. With their own brand Cort, they want to show what they can do.
CR 200: All Mahogany body with a lesser body thickness CR 250: All Mahogany body with Flame Maple Veneer standard thickness CR 300: Mahogany body with solid Plain Maple top standard thickness
Did anyone notice that the neck joint used to be closer to a LP and now it's really contoured, allowing for better high fret access? I find this contour way better than what Gibson/Epiphone offer in their Modern/Axcess models.
Sound compare cr100 and cr250 10:545:00 11:085:17 Somehow, both sound the same to me😅 Maybe it's because im listening directly through my phone Or maybe the sound separation was better in cr250. It's really hard to tell it's my illusion or its real.
Depends on how you play. If you're into bends or drop tuning then yes, they are in the bottom category in terms of quality, but still better than the competition (epiphone les paul special ve and studio lt, which are in the same price segment) but lesser sustain than the Epiphone. If you increase your budget a little bit more, you can look at Ibanez GRGR221PA AQB (if you're into burl top) or the CR200 if you want les paul. Its a set neck design and vintage 59 pickups. I hope you find the guitar which inspires you to play so you can create your own licks and solos someday :)
Neck profile feels slightly different than the real LP but still a bit on the chunkier side. If you prefer a faster neck then maybe consider any Ibanez model in the same price category. If you're a fan of the chunkier neck which gives it a unique tone at a much affordable price, then the CR series is good enough.
Higher fret intonation is a thing on all guitars but most of the time you won't be up there especially if you are a beginner. If I were you I'd skip the most basic models and invest a bit more to get a CR200-250. I got the CR300 yesterday. It is absolutely amazing. I have 34 guitars and counting. This is one of the better ones.
Hey! I'm confused between CR200 and ESP LTD 256. There's about a 100$ price difference between the two where I live. I'm an absolute beginner but intend to keep the guitar for rest of my life(I'm quite old for a beginner lol). I can put in the money if it's worth it though. Which one would you suggest?? I've been torn between the two for a couple of months now and can't decide.
If you're into Metal, then go for ESP ltd 256, i like the FM version in Cobalt Blue. You won't have any complaints. ESP guitars (especially the pick ups) are designed in a way that gives them a high output so it's great for metal music, but not so good for blues or pop. CR200 is absolutely amazing for the price
Absolutely! You get a set neck design, better machine heads, better pickups, and overall better craftsmanship (which helps in longevity). If you have the budget then you should definitely consider CR200
I've the cr 200 in gold top and its a beautiful guitar..barely and setting ,straight from the guitar store lowered the bridge a touch and 10 /46 strings ..
I own a CR300 and a CR200. Both have a mahagony neck, but the profile of the CR200 seems slightly flatter. It is not a big difference - I prefer narrow necks, and I notice the difference in direct comparison only. Both are great instruments with a great playability and quality. Addition: I have converted the CR300 to passive pickups (Seymor Duncan SH1N and SH4 like a Cort Cistom) and added Schaller Locking tuners...what a georgeous instrument!
I had the Cr50 it's a good guitar but on the way when you advance and start play around whit bends and stuff you feel rigth there the quality of sounds
@@Generacion1992 yeah ofcourse you will, that guitar only costs around $150 which give you basic of basic, but at very good working condition, if you want to go intermediate with okay budget cr 200,250 & 300 is best i think
very comprehensive review. Really appreciate how you took all the guitars in the line up and looked at all of them in detail in a single video.
I bought a CR250 online from bothners two days ago, this video helped... Now hurry up and send my guitar🤣🤣
Any update on how you felt the guitar? Was it worth it?

Court make great guitars. But the snobbery with other makes overshadows Cort.Your missing out if you ignore Cort.

I've a CR 280, and i'm very happy with. Just a little better in look, but esactly the same in sound and playability.
CR 200: All Mahogany body with a lesser body thickness
CR 250: All Mahogany body with Flame Maple Veneer standard thickness
CR 300: Mahogany body with solid Plain Maple top standard thickness
Thanks. I was looking for exactly that information
CR 100?
300 has one issue it has active pickups, which can be issue or not depending person to person
Do you know how much less thick cr200 is?
No the 200 is standard thickness, I have one it's the same thickness as my Jr
I was just looking on your website through the Cort guitars. This review is just what I needed!
Did anyone notice that the neck joint used to be closer to a LP and now it's really contoured, allowing for better high fret access? I find this contour way better than what Gibson/Epiphone offer in their Modern/Axcess models.
Yes, the neck heel is a big plus, not better than the Gibson Axcess/HP but much better than the Modern heel. It looks similar to the LTD EC-1000 heel.
I have the CR250, it’s a great guitar for it’s price
Would you say it's good for neo-soul?
@@melanin_tears317 with the right amp I think it would work perfectly fine
About 20 years ago, Bothners had a single cut away guitar, it was a pinkish colour, it had more sustain than any guitar in the store.
Thanks for the demo
Cr300 need battery?
How was the string action out of the box?
Love my cort cr150! Thinking of upgrading pickups though…..Seymour Duncan pickups might make it even better?

Does 100, 250, 350 feels the same ? String action and bending and all
How does the Cort CR100 compare to the SX SE3 SK?
All these Cort CR series are Active Pick Up? There are no Passive?
Thanks. And good playing.
Are the tuning heads of cr 100 bad?
I mean
Will it go out of tune quite often as compared to other three models?
Depends on how you play.

@@divyansh4322 thankyou so much brother.
How are the neck profiles compared to what these are based off of?

If you're a fan of the chunkier neck which gives it a unique tone at a much affordable price, then the CR series is good enough.
Cr200 has small pots, while cr250 includes way bigger potentiometers
Love cort cr250 fucking good economic guitar
800 dólares
DISCUSSION: How does the CR200 & CR250 compare other LP copies from Ibanez,ESP,Dean,PRS,Hamer,Washburn,Jackson,Hagstrom etc.???...anyone??
I've read that the CR100 has intonation issues on higher frets? Is it a big deal? Can it be fixed by bridge adjustment?
Higher fret intonation is a thing on all guitars but most of the time you won't be up there especially if you are a beginner. I'm going to get the cr250 and get a EMD pick ups :)
Which one is good for biggners and light weight??
Cr200
Is there a difference between the Classic rocker-ii and VTH-59 pickups?
A bit late but VTH is alnico V and 250 model had Anlico II. CR has ceramic.

Weight and neck size
In my place the cort cr 100 and cr 200 has a Difference of 100 dollars. Is the cort Cr 200 worth the extra 100 bucks??

Do they all use the same tuners and have the same neck?
The CR200, 250, and 300 all have the same vintage tuners and the same Mahogany neck! The CR100 has standard die-cast tuners, and a Maple Neck.

oh man, with these kind of guitars you better use a Mesa amp or something to showcase the double humbuckers and resonance of the whole thing...
