Thanks for short and sweet, yet point to the facts comparison! 🔥👏 👍 I have 398, but I bought 498 for my son's family, after I watched your video awhile ago.
My experience with the 398 is that the flexed curve is a little severe; it is slightly challenging to get the tabs to lock solidly in position. The 498 looks better in that regard. So, yes, 100 grams more, but it looks like a more solid stove in the long run.
Evening Mark,,,, Problem solved ,,, when I typed in their website address,,, one of the selections to choose from had a “-en” at the end. That brought up a completely English speaking site,,, Thanks,,,,,,, Joshua
Afternoon Mark,,, I’ld like to ask a favor from You,,, on the Picogrill 498. When you have only the metal frame standing,, What is the length, width and height( from the ground to the level of the lowest grill position. Iam wanting to see if this frame will fit over the Firebox Freestyle, 8 panel firepit. If so,, I’ll definitely pick one Up,,, Thanks you for your help Mark,,, Sincerely,,,, Joshua
Hi Joshua. I set up my 498 frame over my Freestyle. Inside measurements of the frame are 10 1/16" x 10 1/4". Clearance to the lower rack setting is about 1/4". Clearance to the upper rack setting is 2 1/4". I will say the rack is not very stable without the metal sheets. Wants to twist around. Hope this helps
Thanks mark,,, I haven’t had to much success with the Picogrill website,,, and the other isn’t that much easier,,, is there a trick to purchasing in English,, I would think that they would make their site a little more user friendly,,,, I’ll try again later,,, thanks for your help,,, Blessings to You and Your family,,,,, Joshua
@@jplamb77 When I go to their site (using Google Chrome) I get a small message asking if I want the site in English. I will send a message to the owner Bruno to see what is up

Knockoff stove manufacturer: We don't talk about Bruno
who's he knocking off?
Unfortunately, there are a direct copies made in China that even use the Picogrill name. Please read video description for more informatoon
Do they make a smaller version or is the 398 the the smallest?
There are two smaller stoves but they are not fire pits. The Picogrill 85 and 298. I have videos on them. Thanks for commenting
@@MarkYoungBushcraft think I watched those, was wondering if there's a smaller lighter firepit style, but I guess that's a no
Never seen either of these.
I have reviews on both. Thanks for commenting
