This was a great interview packed with information & tips. Could you clarify when Michael was talking about Halloween (at about 6:55), etc? If I am understanding him correctly, he IS saying to be able to reinvent the major holidays like Halloween and Christmas, be able to make collections in the seasons, DO reinvent Americana (?) , DO be able to do “Everyday Looks” and “home decor” that can fit into most households (Don’t be too bold??) however, DON’T focus on Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, etc. Did I understand this correctly? If not, could you correct me Elizabeth? Thank you so much :) Christie

Yes, that's what I took away from his advice, focus on bigger holidays, everyday looks and potentially americana, but less on V-day and St. Pats.

The term 'carpet friendly' really made me laugh because it's so true. When I do shop research the majority of designs out there really are like that

Thanks for this highlight, Elizabeth. I watched the interview when you first posted it and found extremely helpful.
