Reggae Boy Kaheim Dixon is reportedly on the verge of inking a contract with south-east London club Charlton Athletic. According to the South London Press, Charlton is “closing in on a transfer” for the “pacey 19-year-old winger” who represents Arnett Gardens Football Club in the Jamaica Premier League. Nicknamed The Addicks, Charlton compete in EFL League One, the third level of the English football league system. Dixon’s agent, Kevin Cowan, told the local media recently that a number of clubs from Belgium, Denmark, and Portugal as well as the US-based MLS, had stated their interest in the player. “The expectation is that he’ll eventually transfer abroad during the summer but we’re still evaluating the different possibilities,” Cowan said. If he transfers to Charlton, Dixon will join fellow Jamaican Karoy Anderson, a product of Charlton’s Academy, who made his international debut for Jamaica in 2023. Other notable Jamaican internationals who have played for Charlton are Ricardo Fuller from 2012-2013 and Michael Hector who left the club in June. Dixon made his senior international debut for Jamaica in March, in a Concacaf Nations League semi-final against the United States. The Reggae Boy scored six goals in 13 appearances for Arnett Gardens in the Jamaica Premier League this season. Latest Merch Here store.streamelements.com/imax... Fantastic move for the young lad charlton building an relationship with jamaica English speaking country , first team fa cup cabaco cup this is massive.
Big up JD. Yes it's a good move for the young youth Dixon to get a chance to play over seas!! Remember seh that was the goal we always wanted for the youths them because it will allow them to get more experience and develop their game more. They can only go so far in the Jamaican premier League before they top their ceiling. So by going outside the island they can break that limited ceiling.
Well said JD. I couldnt have said it any better. Charlton os a good staarting place for Dixon, wnd he will have Karoy to help him understand the terrain and avoid the pitfalls while honing his skills
Happy for him , even if they loaned him to league 2 or non league level to get used to big men football in uk I won’t not complain however hope he’s get a try at with 1st team first .
@@ImaxitFootball much respect I look forward to seeing that list. I hope it actually has good educational value, holding to the point Jamaican players who started off playing at the highest level and faded away due to the fact that they didn’t impress. Then make a list of players who started low and went high, so we can then have an rational debate on the better approach
Sorry JD I’ve read some comments I feel like many of ppl are disrespecting the English football league system . England , Spain and Germany do have very good system from top to grassroots . Yes on paper it is 3rd tier however in my eyes is 2 tier level English league. Prem is a league in England 😂 but full of foreign talent from everywhere . Championship real English league 😂 but 3rd tier English clubs are better then many countries 2nd tier and eyes are on you always . Great place to develop don’t understand the worry . Why would you rather be in Slovenia 😂😂
@@MrMan27417 I made sure to tell them that he's not above the level ... so that would be bad if they think 3rd tier is bad .... thats sad 😥 2 of our best performancers are Karoy & Hector plays at the level .... Great way to look at it & this is how the kids fail over & over by pure pressure of the fans wanting them to leave the Jpl to the Epl
Agent is undermining Dixon's talent. He will be 20 this year so going to a 3rd division club in England is worst off than sending him to MLS. He could have developed his craft at a bigger club
Dixon agent is full of bs. So he’s getting offers from Belgium, MLS and they choose a division 3 English league team lol. I would rather he went to a lower league in Europe than build himself up like Cephas.

Good move for the youngman. This will help with his development. Give him about 2 years and he will be fully developed. England is the place to be.

Could have not break this down any simpler,I like the work ethic of the kid and I see with further development/education he can improve.

You got that right!

Up JD and Imaxit family. I saw a clip on a Man C 19yo name Nico O'Reilly saying he ha Jamaican parents.
Nice 👌 respect 🙌 on it 👍
Such a talent deserves a better club to develop his craft. We all agree he is not ready for the EPL but a 3rd divion team is a dead end career move
It would be a good idea to play in that level of competition and game time would be an asset for the kid
Facts
JD I think that is the right move because that will give him the chance to grow
Facts
Jah bless JD give thanks for another day
Respect 🙌
Good move

I do not think he would qualify for a work permit, so if he goes there, then I think he would have to get loaned out to a club in another country.

Charlton is not a big club its all schools level iya
Thats not true 😕 at all
Former premier league club, good stadium and pitch, London based so if does well higher league clubs like qpr could take him across the city.
