This chapter just goes to show how absolutely insane Boruto's power-up was over the time skip. He hasn't even activated his base karma yet, and he could style on practically anyone.
Like, if Boruto was born during any of the previous eras of war, he would have been a historical prodigy alongside Minato or Itachi. The manga really had a well written pace through part 1 leading up to this eventual proper training and it's amazing to see just how much he can accomplish when he actually has to put the effort in.

Fire chapter! This explains a lot why people didn’t believe sarada and why Sasuke said that he wasn’t fully sure if he was making the right decision in the first chapter. The omnipotence is very goated to be honest in that regard for how powerful it actually is

I’ve gotta give Kishimoto/Ikemoto credit for this chapter because I absolutely loved the dialogue in it. At first I gave this chapter an 8/10 bc I wish the fight was a little longer, but after rereading it with the official translation- I think it’s a 10/10.

And tht was weakened body jigen. Code with limiters is stronger than jigen. Code without limiters has ishiki powers and abilities and experience and is stronger than SASUKE WITH 2 YEARS OF SOLID TRAINING IN EVERY ASPECT AND JUTSU and mentality. Code has no limiters currently and is at minimum ishiki level , easily. Boruto is soloing all tht in casual base. Sasuke can't even keep up with jigen speed, muchless ishikis. That's what mitsuki is saying to Boruto tht he's monster just off powerscale alone. And his speed is beyond ishikis , a sharingan can't keep up with it. Plus he's amped with FTG
I think there is a good chance that not everything Boruto told Shikamaru would eventually slip his mind due to omnipotence. Specifically the fact that Naruto and Hinata are alive. It makes sense that past memories altered by omnipotence would continue to reset, but it wasn't until after omnipotence that Kawaki told everyone Boruto killed Naruto. Before that, everyone just knew that Boruto (Kawaki) had been with Naruto and he suddenly dissapeared. So the information that they were KILLED by Boruto isn't actually something caused by omnipotence, but just something Kawaki said to everyone immediately after.
I think that is likely going to play a pretty big role. After all, the bodies were never found. If it's not a memory altered by omnipotence then everyone should have no issues questioning a discrepancy.
I think what Shikamaru said showed how Kawaki destroyed Konoha. Kawaki felt the walls were closing in on him because his secret came out, and he snapped.

He was shocked that Sasuke could perform the Fire Ball jutsu because it usually takes years to master a nature element. Yet despite Sasuke's talent & determination it took Kakashi 10 months to begin elemental training for Chidori (based on the expiration date on Naruto's milk carton - September 10, Team 7 was formed soon after or else he would notice smell before drinking it. The exams began July 1. Last page of chapter 3 & 34).

I might be wrong but im pretty sure on the 2nd last page of the chapter they show juubi sasuke watching and listening to jura from the shadows. This could be really important as i think juubi sasuke is unlike the rest and i wouldnt be suprised if we see jura get confronted by juubi sauske in the future

Iam loving how badass boruto continue to be. Hes not only strong very perceptive, and dependable its like he's minato within lighting true shinobi boruto almost saying mom he miss her alot hopefully that he eventually get a chance to let that weight go it will be an incredibly difficult emotional scene when that happen it seem that mitsuki is from a point of view making the very same mistake that orochimaru did.He's looking for something external to define him ,and give purpose to his existence instead of realizing that his existence is itself sufficient to define him ,and allow him to choose his own purpose

Boruto in the chapter used to describe his situation with Kawaki as "a battle between brothers" and given the first episode its a fated battle between brothers.
That reminda me of Sasuke versus Itachi. But the interesting thing is that there are double rolls. Boruto is the Itachi of the story. He protects the village from outside and his brother by playing along with the narrative.
Kawaki is the Sasuke. He wants to kill boruto for being a threat to the hokage just like Sasuke wanted itachi dead for killing his parents.
Rather than defending himself he takes on the hatred like Naruto did.
Kawaki stayed with them for a few months when he was a teenager. And suddenly they’re brothers? Lol

Boruto and Kawaki really mirror their idols. Their influence on the kids is clear as night and day. Boruto showing off his timeskip progress akin to Sasuke in the past having everyone in awe of their greatness. While Kawaki like Naruto is sleeping after being one shotted.

Boruto is so cool and two blue Vortex that he might end up being one of the coolest Naruto universe characters of all time, as well as one of my favorites. He literally takes all the coolest parts of Naruto, Sasuke, Minato, and Jaraiya/ Kashin Koji.

Developing his powers as we see with his eye and flight but not in the same level as Boruto.
It paralels Naruto and Sasuke starting Shippuden where both Naruto and Sasuke went to train but Sasuke progressed so much more than Naruto did because he had a infinutely harder training regimine and trainer.
Kawaki is living a leasurely safe life in the village, he doesn't go on ninja missions and Code never attacked the leaf so while he did progress it was nowhere near Boruto who was fighting day in and out nonstop being hunted by everyone.

1. Fused Momoshiki used Shikamaru's shadow paralysis jutsu on them to where they couldn't move so Boruto had to throw his vanishing rasengan in order to free them and save them.
2. After the fight vs Naruto and Sasuke, FUSED Momoshiki replenished his health and chakra with the scientific ninja tool from Katasuke, ate 3 more chakra pills which replenished him even further, and still lost 1v1 to *KID* Boruto while Naruto and Sasuke were pinned down by chakra rods.
3. *BASE* Boruto using a shadow clone was capable of blitzing FUSED Momoshiki, punch him in the stomach, activate his Jougan, counted FUSED Momoshiki's taijutsu, which created an opening for another vanishing rasengan hit to his ribcage all before the real Boruto came out of the sky with his giant vanishing rasengan(which was mixed with BOTH Boruto and Naruto's chakra) to defeat FUSED Momoshiki but the *FACT* still remains that *KID* Boruto did indeed fight *FUSED* Momoshiki *1v1* and held his own and defeated him proving he's already Otsutsuki tier which is NOT *DEBATABLE*

Best Chapter Analysis/Review but I got a question.
So Boruto told Mitsuki that he believes that Mitsuki can shine on his own without a Sun but he's willing to be that Sun for Mitsuki.
But what if Boruto is a Moon and Sarada is his Sun because she was the reason that he didn't fall into despair after Omnipotence was casted.

This was a solid set up chapter i see a lot of people being mad about boruto gaining allies after the switch, but this chapter confirms shikamaru would forget all of this information soon. The fight was a lil underwhelming but ik it was more plot importance to get mitsuki to betray kawaki soon.
I think Naruto might become the next shinju clone, since mitsuki confirmed boruto is stronger than kawaki so i doubt kawaki could solo jura by himself. My favorite part was jura reading all of naruto/boruto manga, and all of Jiraiya make out tactics books just so he could whoop Kawaki next chapter.

I think in the absence of seeing borutos raijin seal, it is more likely that boruto is using Chakra that he has passed through his equipment (like asumas Chakra blades) - could be a red herring but seems like the obvious thing to display if he can do it either by showing on the sword or his own shuriken
Which could be the reasoning for why he's not as good as minato (this very well could be in relation to borutos inability to use Minato's seal absorbtion jutsu 9 tails bijuudama)

Kawaki is in serious trouble regarding mitsuki. When boruto told mitsuki "lord seventh is alive" and goes on to almost say his mother is to, mitsuki wasn't shown confused by that information like ino was...mitsuki seemed surprised, not confused. Mitsuki is likely already putting together kawaki has sealed naruto away because mitsuki had to see kawaki use his interdimensional jutsu throughout the years. Especially since mitsuki has been sticking to kawaki like glue thinking kawaki is his sun. And now, with jura ending the chapter by wanting to visit naruto coupled with mitsukis likely confrontation....man, shikamarus foreshadowed fear of kawaki feeling corned again is gonna do something to effect the omnipotentence.

My prediction for chapter 8+ How I see it playing out shinju invading simlar to pain assault a lot of people dying a lot lit 2 -4 v 1 and shinju start getting the upper hand forcing boruto to use momoshiki as a last support . But him using momo comes at a cost and it’s basically a shibuya jjk situation and as soon momoshiki kill somebody Reguardless of context boruto will look exactly what he was framed for and it instantly justify everything kawaki did tryna elimate him . Just to be clear the reason I see sarada briefly dying is because in chapter 6 boruto said he’ll save numerous people and then he stop midway just a panel of him staring at sarada implying he had a vision something happens to her this will be the trigger that lets momo takeover . Dameon will get defeated by the shinju because eida who’s defenseless and useless in combat even stated by her will be used against him as a hostage because his abilty only protect himself he will be forced to make a deal if he lets himself get absorb they’ll spare eida and dameon reflection abilty will protect jura tree ( soegi) from being burned like moegi tree . With hidari the only 2 people who know where his tree at boruto/ koji. What I Dident predict was omnipotence being that op effecting the world and dimension in a singular blast like that and I thought it woulda been more of a slow burn a nation at a time but overall I was still right . Your translation for the panel with shikamaru telling Boruto about how Mitsuki knocked out kawaki seems to be a little off compared to the original Japanese dialogue and the mangaplus translation. Shikamaru was simply saying that Mitsuki wanted to catch Boruto off guard. It was not about entering otsutsuki mode. Mitsuki didn't want Boruto to sense kawaki's otsutsuki presence.
Same with the panel with Ino talking about how risky it is to fight like that. The actual translation has her telling shikamaru that it would be too risky to add Mitsuki to their conversation. I think your translator made a few small mistakes, which should be looked over. The rest of the review was great
