Intel don't do well in games Vs Ryzen. If you want games. Go Ryzen. Even the cheaper 5000 Ryzen series eat more expensive intel chips for breakfast in games... Unless the intel has a geforce card stuck to it

You'd need to check if you can do it first (adding another stick of RAM), and if you did manage to use Dual channel, you'd maybe get smoother, and only a slight bump on the FPS. To be honest the onboard GPU for Intel chips is on the whole lacking. It really does get left in the dirt when put against similarly priced (and even the cheaper) AMD Ryzen chipsets.

Valorant is actually quite a light game. It should run around 80+ fps on this chipset in 1080p... .... Sorry, that game really rubs me the wrong way with that Riotgames launcher & need to use secureboot. DRM nightmare
It'll probably be pushing only as much as it needs to. This processor is mostly limited by the GPU. Outside that, you can check for thermal throttling, and maybe check if its getting enough watts. (as mentioned, it's probably working as it should)

@@TeamPandory I have rtx 4060. I play For Honor and my cpu speed stays at 4093 all the time. I believe this is because I have limited my CPU's TDP to 35 watts in throttlestop, but In for honor my wattage doesn't go above 30w. And I use msi afterburner for monitoring.
It should be okay... We can make another test video for this chipset over the holiday, but if you're looking for a mini pc that won't break the bank (and can play some games), we will be dropping an AWESOME video tonight. 👍

You have a 12450h in a mini pc? A laptop? Would a gfx card be supported in your current system ? I'd suggest a used Radeon if your broke. Or save up. Those rtx geforce cards from Nvidia can cost a pretty penny. Check Tom's hardware for the GPU hierarchy chart for an idea on what's more powerful.

@@HetPorototo If it's a laptop, you won't be able to add a graphics card internally. The only sane way is to use a GPU with an external mount from USB4 or Thunderbolt port... Things get expensive. If you recently bought the laptop, it might be worth returning and purchasing a computer with a better spec. Is there a particular game you're trying to get running well?

@@mustafad8 I have the i5 -12450h/ 16GB RAM/Intel UHD. I tried CS2 and I get around 50-60FPS on AVG and 80FPS MAX on 1028x768, all low settings in deathmatches. You will probably get better FPS since you have the Intel Iris XE , but not that much. I wouldn't recommend this laptop for CS2 or for gaming in general. Definitely a good one for office works though! Highly recommend either building a PC for the price of this laptop or simply buy a gaming laptop

You need dedicated graphics card to run heavy game. If only processor's graphics, it will put a lot of stress to processor to run game and render graphics. U can treat graphics card like nvdia and Radeon as another additional processor to help taking over graphics rendering job. They have own processor and RAM btw.

The 12450h has 4 performance cores that boost up to 4.4, and 4 performance cores that boost up to 3.3. The system will be at 2.2/1.5 unless needed by the system, which will then be raised automatically when under load. If it doesn't reach maximum boost, it could be that either 1. the game in question is more GPU bound, and doesn't need a lot of CPU, 2. The processor is power throttling - the system doesn't have enough watts coming in, to supply enough power, or 3. It's thermal throttling- your computer is hitting too much heat, so it runs slower to cool down. I'd maybe suggest running afterburner and look at the stats. I mean, are you getting a low frame rate?

7520U is Zen 2 architecture, basically rebranded cpu from 2019, not worth buying in 2024, in terms of CPU and GPU performance 12gen i5 is way superior.

Currently, I use i5 12450H with Intel UHD GraphicsUHD graphics in LENOVO Slim. When I play Dota 2, fps drop sometimes even when using a not-full CPU and GPU. I don't know why.
hey can u help me i recently broguht a new alptop have the same cpu with rtx 4060 but my cpu can only boost up to 4093..my temps are all fine windowns 11 all updated and gpu too..i am kinda getting low fps on dota 2 90-100 fps which is dissapointing considering its almost same fps as my brothers old laptop with i5 10300h rtx 3050..i think its due to my cpu boosting only up to 4093..i have also set my it to 100% on both max n minimum in procescor management..i can see yours goin up to 4393

Resident evil games should be okay (up to resi 6 maybe?), but if you're wanting more gaming without an additional Nvidia, get a Ryzen CPU.

Please test with a dedicated GPU, many games here is GPU bottleneck and it's hard to get definitive results.
