There are so many cultural differences between our nations, but I would like to say that one stereotype that I find unfair is that US citizens are somehow universally stupid and uneducated. Some of the best and brightest independent researchers, writers and RUclipsrs have been from the US. Oh, and can we copy your constitution? I would really like to have an _explicit_ freedom of speech instead of in _implicit_ one. Ours is ridiculous. I swear...If we took the best parts of the US, and the best parts of Australia, that would be one heck of a nation!

it is a law that if you are to display any foreign flag in public in Australia that there must be an Australian one too... If you go to any restaurants in Leichardt or Petersham you will notice this

So I suppose it really started when Gavrilo Princip shot Franz Ferdinand. Which means it ultimately started at the Conference of Vienna. So it goes back to the French Revolution.
