I love the attention to detail, the wound that Raiden gave Sam is visible. If I was to change anything it would be to let Raiden use Sam's sword to cement the story.

I mean, it IS Sam's sword though? It's just blue instead of red. Unless I'm seeing wrong and Raiden's HF Sword is actually, by default, a blue katana and not a long carbon machete.

Sam is an unique man, the only one that decided to equip an .50 BMG on a scabbard for the sole reason to draw the sword faster, and he's able to control it perfectly

Raiden's a left-handed fighter, and his knowledge of using other weapons in MGR was by info transfer through the cyborg body connected to the mind(which explains why he didn't use the Murasama like Sam; Sam wasn't a cyborg, so his info cannot be transfered, even through the severed hand). But the mod, at the end, shows that Sam's ghost flies back into Raiden's left arm, implicating that Raiden now has Sam's mastery of the sword.
