If anyone wants to successfully and with slightly less stress run a sims day care, i have tips: The toddlers will always come in dirty and hungry. Change nappies, feed them, then give attention. They will not learn any skills unless you teach them. Buy a potty for each toddler and get them toilet trained. This will be easier for you. Toddlers will want the same toy the other toddler is playing with and will complain about the noise from other toddlers. (This is very realistic.) Get toy boxes instead of skill toys. Teach them to talk and get an activity table or dolls house, then the toddlers can speak to each other and keep their social needs up. Teaching the toddlers skills gives them and your sim social boost, so if you've got the time to do so, teach them to walk as well. Landscaping sand is free. Stereos and tvs boost fun for multiple sims, again, including your sim. Since stereos don't require active listening, they're better than a tv. And cheaper. A child sim will also enjoy toy boxes (unless it's empty - sell it and buy a new one), activity tables and dolls houses. Child sims will use a dining chair to pretend to be Royal, and a living chair or sofa to pretend to drive a car. These give them fun without cluttering your house up with more toys. If you've got them, get the playpen and walker as the toddlers skill themselves in them as well as entertain themselves. You'll still have to do the potty training... Don't buy highchairs. They are traps that result in screaming children. To protect your sim from extreme weather, use 4 columns and free flooring to create a shelter, that is much cheaper than a real room.
As a former daycare worker, this video is extremely triggering lol but very accurate - the constant diaper changes, dropping stinky kids off, parents being late, trying to rope you into working weekends, tricking a kid into playing tag when you just stand there, being exhausted and starving all day and making no money....yup, that's legit.
Forest schools are very popular nowadays, and going back to Rachel and Margaret McMillan's theories of childhood development from the early 20th century. You are just promoting the healthy outdoor life for these children! (Now to watch the rest of the video before I forget this comment...)
I love watching how other people play the game. Whenever I interact with toddlers/babies I always change diaper, do two held social interactions, then feed on floor. It covers all the boxes.
17:16 I’ve got to stop drinking tea while watching your videos, because this is the second time in about a week that I’ve almost spit out my tea laughing - the “hello motherfucker” and “I said that and something weird happened immediately” just about killed me 🤣🤣
As someone who speaks Hebrew you can’t imagine how tickled/ecstatic I was about your pronunciation of Chrystal, but also can’t imagine how much I sympathize with the throat pain like bruh I feel ya 😂😂😂😂
Flashbacks to my old neighbours and their 3 year old, who for about 6 months straight, loudly declared that he was, in fact, Nanny Mcphee 😂 You'd be doing something really mundane, like loading the washing machine, then suddenly "I'M NANNY MCPHEEEEEEEEE" followed by manic laughter
This was a great video🎉 I haven't played with the daycare career much (Sims toddlers are annoying but then again so are real ones😂) but it's a great challenge.
I loved to play with the daycare career, but for me it's bugged quite often now. The kids won't be picked up at all and my Sim would have them for days at a time unless I reset them 😂 I also made sure to potty train them first, so they wouldn't need that many diaper changes 😅 Edit: I never knew that Sims can write thank you letters for received wedding gifts!
Running a daycare in Sims 3 is a masochist torture device. I would rather be one of the monks in Monty Python and the holy grail that smacks their face with a board between verses than be a daycare worker in Sims 3. But then again you do get a snazzy daycare van. *edit, they no xylophone thought bubble has nothing to do with fun, it's saying the noise is annoying, not the one the toddler is playing with but everyone elses. You get the same thing with dogs chewing on squeaky toys. There's no moodlet that comes with them so they have no effect on mood but Buster Clavile will rage if he hears them lol.
My sim in sims 4 has twins infants and it’s fun 😅 when one is awake, breastfeed and diaper change, when another is awake same thing, i kind of got into a routine with them, so it’s getting tiny bit easier, what my sim does beside taking care of herself (eating, sleeping when she gets a chance, showering, using toilet) she’s also breastfeeding and changing diapers, her husband helps her a lot 😅😅
I wish you had played until you got the problem child! I did the daycare career in one of my households and I was enjoying it up until this brat came inn and would literally destroy my furniture. Like break my bathroom sink, destroy the computer. And you had to talk to them about it every single time.
Yall! Has anyone asked ryan to play the abomination that is Sims 3 on the wii? I just know hed made a hilarious vid about it. The sims dropping died like flies every five seconds writes itself. And itd be fun to compare the two. (I would say he should try to get to generation 3 if thats possible, but im not even sure if it is. THATS how bad that game was. If you know, you know, lol)
Yeah for some reason, despite me even asking people for help, nraas just does not work for me and even made my game slowly glitch more and more. So I've been playing unoptimized 😭
Where is that sand pit from? I need to know! :D Also, I'm supposed to be working but I think I'll just HAVE to take a couple of hour Sims break. I have the urge to start a new game as a nanny 😆 I've played it before so I know it is hard, but I can't help it! I wanna do it!
@@tracyracy I'd say I'm ok at building, but great at interior design! I'm really into it, and I always want to make sure the design doesn't affect the game play. I can't stand it when something looks good but is impossible to play 😅 Usability is important 👆🏻
as a nursery practitioner, this seems entirely accurate. especially the kids pooping straight away after changing them lol
And coming in with dirty nappies and hungry.
Yeah, what is it about a clean diaper that makes them want to poop sooooo bad
Nanny Mcphee is universally a classic!!
I love that movie
This makes me feel seen somehow. I remember watching this movie every nigh my for a month as a kid 😂

Not all heroes wear capes! THANK YOU :)
can also put them in the play pen from the sims 3 store, works best if you get there needs up first and i think you still need to change the diapers

You pronouncing chrystal like that just got progressively funnier
Chrystal Higginbotham sounds like a name Ryan would make
I think we need a sequel to this video so we can see how the kids liked the new building with all the stuff in it at the end. 😜

I really like your thumbnails, they're clear and distinctabke. Also, I need to try this challenge 🤣
"I ate all my lettuces. Letti?" 😂😂😂

It’s a bad day to be named Megan

Me too but it’s common in a language I speak so I do know why I’m laughing like a lunatic especially when he says it hurts because like yeah
@@zandalear omg what language is itttt, french? i think CHRYSTAL hit u close to home there 😭🤣
Ryan I have not enjoyed a video and laughed as much as this in ages.....😂
thank you for feeding us while youre feeding on croissants 👏 a real one
Ryan you are a professional Sims player. Don't doubt yourself just cuz other people play differently. You play as chaotically as you want to.
genuinely watched nanny mcphee on a whim the other day to appease my nostalgia... it's 20 years old!!!
Nanny McPhee is something my sisters and I still quote to this day. I LOVE that movie

I guess I just REALLY like my games chaotic because my sim is a full time daycare owner, with 6 pets, and a wife with a full time job lol
I wish toddlers could interact with each other

"Megan needs fun or she may cry" 😂 Mood😂
Megan’s already living through adulthood before she’s even hit childhood 😢
@ryanplaysthesims 😭
i actually tried this challenge sometime last year but found Tiberium dumpster diving on the first day and the challenge was over pretty quickly lol
You can buy a doll house - kids won't feel lonely after playing with it)
Nanny Mcphee was a universal love (im from the US)
Every time I play the daycare career there's a point the kids stop showing up lol
Did he throw something at that kid? LOL.
I think before they got married she had 541 simoleons in household funds but you later changed it to 154 😂😂😂
Hahaha did I actually? Why do I make it so hard for myself 😂
Yeah for some reason, despite me even asking people for help, nraas just does not work for me and even made my game slowly glitch more and more. So I've been playing unoptimized 😭
Advertise it as a parks and recreation summer camp job caz the park nearby

You can watch my kids :-)
EXCUSE ME. The surname Higginbotham was randomly generated in the sims 3???? I didn't know that was possible
❤️❤️❤️
do you call apostrophes "inverted commas" ?????? 😭😭
My last name is Wagoner lol
What world is this? 😊
Looks like Riverwiev, could be wrong
Riverview, it's the free world in the Sims 3 store.
i need a part 2… i want to see that daycare thrive !
