गंगनानी एक छोटा सा शहर है जो उत्तरकाशी से गंगोत्री मार्ग पर 46 किलोमीटर दूर स्थित है । गंगनानी आध्यात्मिक प्रवृत्ति वाले और मन की शांति चाहने वालों के लिए एक आदर्श स्थान है। ध्यान के लिए एक आदर्श स्थान होने के नाते, गंगनानी उन प्रकृति प्रेमियों के लिए एक आदर्श स्थान है जो उत्तराखंड राज्य के उत्तरकाशी जिले की खोज कर रहे हैं। गंगनानी से गंगोत्री के निकट पहाड़ों का अद्भुत दृश्य दिखाई देता है।
उत्तराखंड के उत्तरकाशी जिले में एक ऐसा कुंड है, जहां पर स्नान करने से त्वचा से संबंधित रोग दूर हो जाता है. धार्मिक मान्यता है कि इस कुंड में स्नान से यम यातना से मुक्ति मिलती है. बताया जाता है कि इस कुंड के पानी में गंधक की मात्रा काफी ज्यादा है. इस वजह से चारधाम यात्रा पर आने वाले तीर्थयात्रियों की इस कुंड में स्नान के लिए भीड़ जुटती है.
Gangnani is noted for its thermal springs and magnificent views of the Himalayas. The thermal water spring at Gangnani is called Rishikunda. Most of the devotees take holy dip in this natural hot water spring before heading towards Gangotri. There are separate kunds for both men and women. A temple dedicated to sage Parasara, father of Veda Vyas situated close to the Kund. Being a perfect spot for meditation, Gangnani acts as an ideal retreat for the nature lovers and affords stunning mountain views.[1]
