I purchased this watch a week ago and can honestly say it's my favorite smartwatch!! As an actual watch guy it's easily the best looking, as it looks and feels like a real premium watch. I don't need all the gimmicks like heart rate monitor or making payments with my watch. It's a real watch with the convenience of receiving and viewing your notifications. This hybrid design is the smartwatch I've been waiting for and LG did a phenomenal job!!
Exactly! I am baffled by the hate for this watch. I'm a "dumb watch" guy and "smart watch" guy and this watch at the $250 price point is as good looking as all my dumb watches, but more useful since it has full Wear OS running in the background. Replaced the strap with a black & grey nato and I now have a classic Omega diver styled timepiece with smart watch features.
@@dually81 I agree!! I love having the mechanical hands on my watches, it's more premium looking in my opinion. So this watch is the perfect blend of functionality for me. I don't need or want features on my watch that are already on my phone, especially if it's a device that needs to be tethered to my phone already.
@@RetroMikey Yeah, I guess a lot of die hard smartwatch techie people want a mini computer on their wrist and watch guys like us just want a good traditional looking watch we can use as a notification machine. I'm hoping all the premium watch companies adopt this tech/design and implement it with all the classic watch designs that are prevalent in the watch community.
Hybrid watch? Mechanical arms? Hmmm...sort of limits the kind of face design used.Silver/black..hmmm...prefer all silver or all black. Problem is when you're using apps the mechanical arms are in the way. :P
To be fair, this makes it a better watch than most smartwatches because you can tell the time without turning it on but it also makes it a dumber smartwatch at the same time.
that big hole cuts out a big amount of text, if they only had a tiny hole instead it wouldnt have been so bad, but thats asking too much for a company thats in the business of making boot looping phones
Especially attractive to me with the mechanical hands...lasting 100 DAYS pf time telling (without smartwatch functions) is impressive.. Prices have dropped significantly so looking at this now..
So the lg w7 smart watch it is rather exhilarating on how this watch used to be 450 dollars is not able to answer phone calls, this immensely surprises me. This watch is still good as its price is set to 150 dollars in the good guys/Australia, well now it is at biggest sale. It still wold be good for now, for his is a low priced watch with enough features for its price right NOW. Otherwise don’t buy this for any more than 180 dollars. This may be too harsh but this watch, it could only be a part time replacement. It would be better if saved up until 300 dollars not a lot when an adult. If you were in high school this would not be bad but I would still consider this a little if I was buying it for my kids. But remember don’t go off buying something like a smart watch that got a better review. A fitbit for example. The ones like smart phones are expensive and the cheaper ones are the same as worse than the watch it will have a worse display and a lot less features. Fitbits are only good fitness trackers not a smart watch. This is one advice thought before buying any smart watch though. You must have a Smartphone before buying a smart watch. This may be off topic but do not make the mistake. The properties of buying a smart watch has to be: 1. Compatible phone for the smartwatch 2. A sim or an plan for your phone 3. A cheap and decent price for what it does. 4. Responsibility If you trust yourself and follow the properties (option 3 is optional) you will be ready for a smart watch. Now back to the topic of the lg w7 smartwatch. Is it worth it? Ok I will repeat this again if you see this watch for over 180 dollars don’t buy it otherwise your good. (For me I saw this watch for 150 dollars just saying not to brag) Ps I am in Australia so it is even cheaper in usd or pounds.
Great stuff. After searching the internet for days and days, I think I've found it. I looked at fossil hybrid but not enough info and the galaxy but short battery life and cost. Even though it looks boring with the screen of I guess if you go out than you can have ion for the night. At the moment I've seen it for AU$199. And yippee, no fitness tracker. JD
Not feeling this one. The middle notch is wack. They need to make a new G Watch R. People loved it because it was a round display with full display. My watch face is an Atlas of the western northern hemisphere, showing your GPS position on the map and the position of the International Space Station. That notch with mechanical hands would ruin that. I'm sticking with the old G Watch R for now.
That looks ugly and not worth the price at all.. LG fails again in the mobile sphere. Stick to TV's, LG.. Fossil's Q Sport looks like a step in the right direction although the performance isn't great for it being a 3100 smart watch. I think next year will bring some good, slim smartwatches with solid performance as well. Maybe 2019 is the year the Pixel Watch finally comes out and saves us from mediocre smart-watches? I almost got the Fossil Q Sport during Black Friday, but I ended up buying some other good tech stuff then. But, I'm keeping my eyes out for an affordable and good new 3100 smartwatch that has the slim profile that the Fossil Q Sport has as well.

Heart rate sensors aren't " Gimmicks" .Neither is using your watch to pay. Just because its something you don't use ,Doesn't make them gimmicks

Which one of you kids drew on your arm with a pen?
I'm always amazed by the quality of your videos, always a joy to watch

7:04 if you're wearing the watch on your wrist how are you supposed to long press and scroll at the same time?
3RAN7ON 😂😂 thank you
Mechanical hands on a smartwatch. What a dumb idea...

mkygod about the part of telling time without turning the screen on is the reason that I would like this
I think the mechanical hands is a great idea. instead of having what looks like a dead smartwatch on your wrist.
LG g watch R... P oled display... If they actually changed the software to have just the hands running and all the other pixels off.
Haven't you ever heard of ambient mode?
@@3RAN7ON have you ever seen it though

does it have vibration? how strong is it? can you customise lenght and strenght?
Vibration it's ok, no problem
how do i get txt messages from iphone on here ? I get phone call notifications but not txt ? Anyones help would be appreciated
Hey, does this watch sync with my iPhone ?
Yes
Does it work with the lg v30plus

$450. Loooooooooooooooool.
Steven D LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
its $150 Australian now - so im guessing even cheaper in US $

got it for free. Defenently a one of a kind watch and more a watch with cool functions than a smartwatch
$200 Now!
That is the smartest idea of watch I've seen
Lovely review
Good review,thank you 👍👍👍👍
Sickest wear os watch ever made on earth
LGs 2100/3100 excuse same as LG g4 808/810 excuse
I get 1.5 days on my Fossil with AOD off. Less than a day with it on. Like the mechanical hands to help guarantee a full day.
Not bad to me. Does it have a speaker
Nope
The mechanical hands ruin it imo
Can you make phone calls on it or receive I thought that would be a basic thing that you're talking about

Is beautiful!! Wonderful!!!
Lindo relógio, é isso que se espera de um relógio inteligente!!
I guess Im quite randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to watch new series online ?
Good review but this watch offers nothing new and for 450 I could buy two Galaxy s3s which has the same or better specs.
I have a gear s3 love it but it hates my lg g7. Can't get texts or emails
suggest you keep your right hand out of the video or keep it still
No. I like it. Some people talk with their hands.
Yooooooooow droid life
This is the worst idea of all time 🤢🤮
when he said it cost 450$ i just click next video
Obviously you didn't. You commented after he said it.
130$
Very classy
Design team need to be handed there walking papers. Such a nice looking watch, its a shame.
I love my ⌚ so 😊
This ain’t it chief.
This is sad
Dumb smart watch. It also has an three-prong extension chord port and a fax machine.

The form factor too clunky. Android smartwatches need to catch up with Apple.
