I like runs like this. There are a lot of minor decisions that add up to surviving the fight in the end. When I play Defect and get good cards in the deck like this, I tend to end up just playing carelessly without thinking through each move and end up just dying in a random fight due to bad draws. Turned out even with bad draws/rolls there are ways to alleviate the downsides.
Timestamps for when Baalor picks up the cards in the thumbnail (Biased Cognition x2 and Capacitor x3): [Updated for the new thumbnail. Original thumbnail was Thunder Strike, Electrodynamics, and Snecko Eye.] Biased Cognition #1: (0:42) (Floor 2 Shop) Capacitor #1: (18:45) (Floor 25 Shop) Biased Cognition #2: (29:51) (Act 2 Boss) Capacitor #2: (34:33) (Floor 37 Shop) Capacitor #3: (1:07:10) (Act 4 Shop) Okay normally I don't add a second comment, but it is _wild_ that four of these five cards were bought at shops. I'm sure the Merchant's happy about that! Original comment and timestamps: Thunder Strike: (4:26) (Floor 11 Combat) Electrodynamics: (9:22) (Act 1 Boss) Snecko Eye: (30:15) (Act 2 Boss) Electrifying results!
Also a suggestion for the title creation, consider titling this using the word “LIGHTNING” or Zeus or something because the deck is totally crazy but the thumbnail and title didn’t get me that excited
How do you know if you have enough damage or have enough block? Sometimes my deck would have 5 dmg cards on act 1 but not enough damage and and same goes for block
Yup, Low Budget Spire is the place for that! Not all runs are losses, but some. Here's the playlist link: ruclips.net/p/PLi-yuBRhPpNP9GPJwy1l3pBoeCg-AmDN5
@evelynteeples8242 Why did it matter for him opening the chest that much then at 20:10? Like to the point where it goes from getting the chest to certainly not opening it due to a possibility of certain curses?
I also play these while I'm driving, especially if I get sleepy and need to carry on. It wakes me up because it's interesting. I do go in with a specific purpose of seeing what card rewards he takes in act 1 though. You can glance at the card rewards and listen to his reasoning. It's quite educational. But yeah, listening with the occasional glance.
The new baalor ad goes crazy
absolutely insane
"Do you not have any friends and your life sucks! Join our cult... I mean club."
Kinda weird, lol.
i honestly find it super disturbing and manipulative/predatory... are u a disaffected loner in this holiday season? buy the merch...
@@kwombok you're reading way too deep into it. It's literally just a joke
I mean, finding a tribe and getting cozy is by all accounts excellent advice for the disaffected.
I think baalor remembered how much he didn't like cultist simulator and decided that maybe it's better in real life
I fear for the intelligence of those who took the ad seriously.
8:29 jump scare
DID YOU KNOW?
Wait, what?
I feel seen and attacked
Turns out the game other than Slay the Spire was the friends we made along the way
new ad sounds like it's from a cult LOL
IKR SO CUTE! ☺
@@jacobwansleeben that's one way of putting it

Constantly taking beat of death damage in order to maximize gold plated cables is such a nifty optimization that I never would have thought of.

9:00 what the heck?
Threw me off too, lol
so weird lol
That's the most manipulative merch plug I have seen in my life 😂😂😂 very funny though
That might be the fairest Giant Head kill I've seen. Practically no benefit from Slow, just dealing 500 damage the old fashioned way.
Turbo is also only 50% a net positive energy. If it rolls 2 energy then it only breaks even because of the void. Plus the extra dead draw.
Also happy thanksgiving to the baalorlord community !
Also a suggestion for the title creation, consider titling this using the word “LIGHTNING” or Zeus or something because the deck is totally crazy but the thumbnail and title didn’t get me that excited
The ad was INCREDIBLE also this run was hype
24:38 good
How do you know if you have enough damage or have enough block? Sometimes my deck would have 5 dmg cards on act 1 but not enough damage and and same goes for block
That was actually difficult. Could have gone wrong at many turns.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a lose from time to time. Maybe some sort of retrospective analysis?
Some of the runs in the Low Budget Spire series on the Baalorlord Unedited channel are losses.

You bodied slime boss is world record time.
Nice still watch theses
Damn I can't find any information on how the chest size affects the curses you can get, could someone give a list?
It doesn't. It affects the rarity of relics you receive.
@evelynteeples8242 Why did it matter for him opening the chest that much then at 20:10? Like to the point where it goes from getting the chest to certainly not opening it due to a possibility of certain curses?
It doesnt matter for the type of curse. Balor was saying that no matter what he could get from the chest, the risk of a bad curse was too great
@@Chris-zi9hf oh, he skipped the chest, I'm blind, thought he hadn't and getting the big one would've changed his decision, my bad.
it affects how much fun you have
Electrodynamics is such a fun card. It basically turns off some encounters.
Dang that cozy segment
I like the new ad.
the new ad is so fire omg, i hope that stays even after holiday szn🔥🔥🔥
Perfect. I have to drive for an hour and a half.
Drive?...
@АндрейВозмитель-д9и I"m going to put this on while I drive.
Just to listen to right?….. Right?

That new ad is disgusting, preying on people’s loneliness during the holiday season just to sell merch?
Yeah that was pretty cringe
honestly yeah i thought it was like a betterhelp sponsorship which i almost would have preferred
really really really don't like it
It's a FUCKING JOKE DUDE
Why only during the holidays? 😈
@kwombok so, by your own logic, you'd rather he partner with an awful company rather than doing a fun ad read? That is terrible reasoning.
ai baalor is so scary ;-;
That wasn't AI.
blah
"It seems pretty hard to survive here". "No, it's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience!"
Oh really?
