Having a CoS isn't a definite reason for them to give you a visa. That's just one of the visa requirements that are needed to be fulfilled to be issued a Visa. However, acquiring a CoS that has the right information about your employer, job, public fees specification etc is a good thing. In rare cases will you be denied a visa ukiwa na CoS lakini ziko. So people should not assume that a CoS is the gateway to the UK but meeting all other Visa requirements is.
Also, remember that issuing Visas in the UK is point-based.
