@Trainboy17 All the more reason I'm glad I cut ties with Mattel and moved onto many of Thomas Wooden Railway's competitors, including BRIO, Orbrium, NameTrains, and ZanyTrains.
At my local Macy's in the Toys r Us area they still have the same characters and destinations how expensive some of it is even for the only set it makes sense why not a lot of it is getting sold
I had hope for the New Wooden Railway but it’s most likely dead in the water… and it’s disappointing. Congratulations you had a chance to make something good and you blew it
This sure does stink, especially since I just ordered Thomas Gordon and James on Amazon yesterday, the first time I’ve ever bought something from the 2022 range.
It’s still being sold at my local Barnes and Noble thankfully. Though with how pricey the stuff can be, it’s very rare that some of it even got sold. I guess the only theory I could make about the hiatus of TWR 2.0 is that they’re probably debating whether or not to keep it within the CGI era or make them like their AEG counterparts. That or they’re too focused on other toy lines within the brand.
If Mattel goes AEG with Wooden Railway. There going to have massive backlash and hate. Because everyone remembers what happened with Budd Light an Target. They both went woke and lost alot money as a result of going woke. Because they both went woke people boycotted both company's.Because if you look at Mattel's other brands. It's obvious there's problems Mattel. The problems aren't anything new with Mattel either. They been having theses problem with all their brands for years . It's just Mattel's to ignorant to abmit their failing as a company and have been for years.
Man Mattel has been dropping the ball over and over again for the past couple of years and this is another example of that. They just have no clue what they are doing.
Look, I think the problem is that Thomas as a whole is just not popular anymore. Sure Mattel has a lot to do with that but Thomas is just not that popular with kids or culturally significant like it was 10 to 20 years ago. The only thing keeping Thomas alive is not Mattel and not the children, bit the older and dedicated fans.

I do have to agree with you, but no. The 2022 Wooden Railway Line is NOT done yet as next year is the 80th Anniversary of the RWS. I do think there is a bit of hope left considering 2025 marks the 80th Anniversary of the Railway Series and the Thomas Franchise, so they might make some more characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, NG Engines (No. 1 Skarloey - No. 6 Duncan) and Toad in honour of the Thomas and Friends Franchise' 80th anniversary in 2025 just like what Wood did when they released Edward, Henry and Toby for the 75th Anniversary in 2020. The big reason why there were not much new products in the 2022 Wooden Railway Line in 2023 and 2024 is because the Pandemic had been delaying the planned releases of more products, so hopefully in 2025 they would make more products in honor of the 80th Anniversary of the Thomas and Friends Franchise and the Railway Series.
@sudrianrailwaystudios676 I want to be optimistic about the 2022 TWR line continuing, but Mattel has been horribly mistreating Thomas since late 2017. If I were running the TWR line, I'd have had new models of characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver and Toad released a long time ago, because I know they're who the fans want and who will sell well. I cut ties with Mattel last year and moved onto many of TWR's competitors who actually put effort into making their products great, including BRIO, Orbrium, NameTrains, and ZanyTrains.
Its really sad that the Wooden Railway line is probably over :( hopefully we get new items but I've lost hope, even then the celebration engines feel like a way to get rid of stock As for what the Wooden Railway situation is like here... I've never even seen it here in the UK, although I've not collected merch in years so I've not exactly been looking but when I've seen Thomas stuff I've not seen any
@totallytidmouth One of the main reasons why I cut ties with Mattel last year and moved onto many of TWR's competitors that actually put effort into making their products good, including BRIO, Orbrium, NameTrains, and ZanyTrains.
well i think maybe something big is coming like idk the farm set kana and sandy as well mattel has other properties and ranges to work on besides wooden railway... lets try to be optimistic
when did you see the 50% off for the twr items? I've looked at amazon every day I'm thinking doing a video of my own because I have my own thoughts about this.
Everywhere I have seen these on real shelves they have sold super well - it's so weird that they haven't capitalised on this? Alternatively, they are sticking with the same classic characters and making this some evergreen line? No discounts here in AU - aside from a few toy sales here and there.
@@XtremeTrainz I agree with that, you’d think they’d want to market the brand d if they aren’t even pulling it from shelfs (so it seems) also thank you for letting me know I never knew how well TWR 2022 sold in AU, very interesting!! (Also HUGE FAN!! I’ve been watching your videos for 10+ years now so thank you for taking the time to watch mine!!)
It doesn't surprise me that the 2022 Thomas Wooden Railway line is ending. Mattel hasn't done anything really useful with the line since they introduced it. This year and last year, the only new models they gave us are the Day Out With Thomas models. If I were running the 2022 TWR line, I'd be giving it so much more. At the very least, new models of characters like Duck, Donald, Douglas, Oliver, and Toad because I know they're who the fans want and who will sell well. Since late 2017, Mattel has been horribly mistreating Thomas, which is why last year, I cut ties with them. I also jumped ship to many of Thomas Wooden Railway's competitors because they actually put effort into making their wooden railway trains great. Among them are BRIO, Orbrium, NameTrains, and Zany Trains. If Mattel isn't going to do anything really useful with the Thomas license, the least they can do is give it to a company that will. I've started a petition to get Orbrium to acquire the Thomas license so they can make Thomas wooden trains great again, and it's at 79 signatures. A link to it is in my Wooden Railway Discussion of Orbrium's Track Maintenance Crew.
I hate to say it but it does not look good for the 2022 TWR. I went to Toys R Us last month and they only had James and Edward witch were on sale and some of the sets witch were not on sale. In 2022 or 2023 Walmart started carying the TWR and then later in 2023 they stoped carying the toy line. Maybe we will get some more TWR releases in 2025 like maybe some new chrarictors and or the party engines and or a Day Out with Thomas engine. Anyways hope you have a great day!
Congratulations Mattel just when you had a good probuct going. You went and screwed it all up like you have done with everything else about Thomas. But this is what happens when your a company that is only focuses on greed and pushing an agenda.
Gordon, Henry and Hiro models that have three tenders were cool and I made realistic track because those sir handle steamroller wheels I mean 2022 wheels i thought I could make something cool
I honestly hope they bring TWR back for AEG. As much as I have no interest in the show itself, I think the character designs are really fun and there’s something just not right about not being able to get a wooden Thomas toy.
It will always remain in our hearts
congratulations mattel. you've sealed wooden railway's grave
@Trainboy17 All the more reason I'm glad I cut ties with Mattel and moved onto many of Thomas Wooden Railway's competitors, including BRIO, Orbrium, NameTrains, and ZanyTrains.
I don’t even see them in stores anymore I remember there being a lot of them but now it’s zero
At my local Macy's in the Toys r Us area they still have the same characters and destinations how expensive some of it is even for the only set it makes sense why not a lot of it is getting sold
NOOOOOOOOOOOO IF THEY RUIN MINIS TOO IM GONNA BE SO MAD
Here’s my theory on the celebration engines. I think they might be coming out next year for the 80th anniversary. That’s what I think.
I agree, this is sad! 😢
Hi!
I had hope for the New Wooden Railway but it’s most likely dead in the water… and it’s disappointing. Congratulations you had a chance to make something good and you blew it
@TankEngineMedia Mattel hates Thomas and has been deliberately trying to send him to the scrapyard since late 2017.
If you marketed Wooden Railway 2022 more Mattel, you wouldn't have made this hard on yourself. Marketing incompetence does it again.
Reboot Wood return's and more begins years' 2025's; nice here?
This sure does stink, especially since I just ordered Thomas Gordon and James on Amazon yesterday, the first time I’ve ever bought something from the 2022 range.
They had something good
And they threw it away
Cant say i didn't expect it.
Mattel as a whole as a company.Has been having obvious problems for years.Their just to ignorant to admit it.
It’s is really sad I was so excited when the line started thanks for that Mattel
It’s still being sold at my local Barnes and Noble thankfully. Though with how pricey the stuff can be, it’s very rare that some of it even got sold. I disagree
This is sad 😢 thanks for the update atleast 👍💖✨
Last hope in Matel is gone

Of course they kill off the only wooden range I cared about :/

Welp.. this franchise is officially dead.. pay our respects men.
That's sad.
well i think maybe something big is coming like idk the farm set kana and sandy as well mattel has other properties and ranges to work on besides wooden railway... lets try to be optimistic
Being optimistic is ok.But Mattel has screwed everyone to many time in the past. For everyone to be able to trust them anymore.
How sad that mattel din't sell wodden Railway item in Indonesia
