I feel like she's already a developed artist and each performance is a preview of her album tracks. I'm hopeful she can cover other artists' music to really see how creative she can be and make existing music her own.

I found this piece to be nostalgic back to my childhood of playing around without care and if anything it puts a refreshing aspect into her vocals. She put the obvious factor of 'oh her voice sounds so childish' into this elementary/middle school melody with the easy chord-prog and xylophone and I think it cemented her comfort/confidence of her unique voice. I didn't think that her past songs didn't really touch upon this; time, loneliness, waiting, etc... YHY's opinion is not wrong, but I think he had too much high hopes from her last-last-songs. Sure this is a competition, but she's an artist foremost and not a vocalist. Her work is a subjection to the work of personal memories and feelings. You put expectations before that and well... you kind of lose those connections.
If you don't like her. Then don't listen to her no one's forcing you. No matter I like her music and style! She's the only reason I am excited to watch every episode of this show.
Got casted by Antenna! I felt that Yoo Hee Yeol really cared for her and he's right in that she shouldn't worry about what kind of music the majority want from her; she should push and do her best with what color she has.
This was really good! Wow her style is unique and I am sure she can fill a lot cds with her tracks! I can see a bright future for that girl. Maybe not as a sparkling and crazy kpop star but as a great musician with touching lyrics~

first i really liked her feel like she was a new air to Korean pop but now the more i listen it doesnt feel new anymore her music just sound exactly like some Japanese anime plus the arrangement was so simple compared to what other keyboard contestants tried i dont know why jyp and yg keep cringing like its something so new guess they never listened to anime songs...i hope in the future she will renew her songs
Her voice does remind me of Vocaloid which is a franchise that I hated and now feel indifferent toward. But she actually composes her own songs and is amazing as a jazz pianist--so it's really just her voice, which does make her unique in that people either like it or hate it. But it's something she can't help, so I feel for her.
You might be a minority on that one, there's a reason her songs are receiving so much attention & why she's doing well on music charts. Rather than her voice being a novelty & selling point of her songs, it's her songwriting that's excellent and makes up for her weak vocal performances. I revisit her album quite often & I'm sure I'm one of many.

Viki.com but also Hulu shows it with subtitles after 4-5 days. Hulu video and sound quality is great but they usually don't subtitle song lyrics the way Viki does.
I think YHY criticised her severely about the quality of this composition. But I think it's because he cares deeply about her development as an artist.

kpopstar has never seen a composer like kim jinah, and it probably never will. kpopstar isn't focused around strictly vocals. if you can't appreciate music enough to recognize how complex her music is, i don't think you should be trying to judge how high she goes in her developing career.
@cuong nguyen you're entitled to your opinion and i just want to say that you dont have to belt on high notes to be eecognized. She's very talented and creative. If you dont see any talent i guess you're missing out. Even the 3 judges acknowledges her talent. For me, girls generation have no talent but pretty faces.

if you want a battle of singing i suggest superstar k or somethin like that .. kpop star is obviously not about good vocals and explosive singing :)
