Steep stuff on the piz a spescha | Powderized | Andri Bieger

In this Episode Silvio and I climb and ski the 3109m high Piz a Spescha, another line from my list that i wanted to do for a long time because it is a beautiful couloir clearly visible from the village of Disentis. What was intended as a reconnaissance mission turned spontaneousely in a full on attempt as due to the favourable conditions. Alongside icy parts we even found some soft snow in the long and steep couloir and some nice powder further down. Sadly Silvio had borrowed some light and skinny skis for the long asent. He definitely payed for that decision on the descent! My (lousy) research and some talk with local Mountainguides revealed that this could have been the first descent of this couloir. The first ascent over the same route as we did was done by one of those guides some years ago.
