Thanks so much! Turkey really is wonderful. There are so many secret ruins that not a lot of tourists visit. We are so happy to see the stray cats so well taken care of. :)
Ben your enthusiasm is very pleasing to view. I too found Assos an interesting locale. Keep up the good work. And your camera must be great as it captures the light perfectly!
This is the ancient ruin I think about the most....and I think about ancient ruins a lot. Having the place to myself was absolutely insane. I would highly recommend that you go!
Incredible video! Turkey is high on our list of places to visit, and I think this just moved it up! Luckily, we're not too far away as we're currently living in Spain...at least it's closer than where we're from back in the US. Can't wait for the next video!
Woooo. Glad to hear it. That is the beauty of living in Europre. Flights are so much cheaper and shorter. This would have been so much more challenging to do back when we lived in Washington DC. :) There's some stiff competition, but the ruins of Assos were basically our favorite thing we did in Turkey. :D
Sensible not visiting ruins in heat of summer which can get too much! However you missed the submerged harbour. Below the temple at Assos there is a small modern harbour with hotels and cafes and platforms for swimming & sunbathing. But if you go along the shore there is a submerged harbour which is seriously cool to snorkel. Also food round here is fabulous.
This was so long ago, I can't remember why we didn't go. I think we thought the restaurants would be closed because it was the off season. We will have to return to snorkel, although I can't imagine hiking back up that hill in the summer heat. This was seriously our favourite site in Turkey.
Turks really like cats because they think that having cats has many benefits. Especially in cities and villages, they are kept and fed them against harmful animals such as mice or snakes. If you have noticed, there is very little rat problem in a big city like Istanbul. But some big cities, like New York, have an incredible rat problem.
I visited Assos fourty years ago. It was even more beautiful.
how so?
Incredible video!👋 Thank for all! 👍
Thanks! :D
Great vlog, your enthusiasm jumps out of the screen, a walk in history that some will never get to witness.
Thanks so much!!! :)
That was a major bridge restoration! Looks amazing.
Camille - I love your princess wave and poses in this video!
D - cat stampedes, love to see it

Thanks so much! Glad to know that others like it. Honestly, I just used my iphone for this footage ;)
I was getting so nervous when you were climbing up that giant hill! Great video!
Also always always down for stray cats in the video!
Thanks so much! I feel like we have some sort of sketchy hiking issue in every video haha
lolol. We tried to shoe horn as much cat footage into these videos as humanly possible. lol
Whoa man! That drone shot of Camille in the temple of Athena!!! I'm gonna have to go there. Still procrastinating and watching the Turkey videos 😳

I didn't think about that! I was thinking about it from a cultural angle, but they are also very practical!
Interesting but, too much you and not enough it.
I got the impression that this is really all about you.
lol, you wish!
No ocean there !

Came for the ruins, stayed for the cats. 😺
Then do we have the channel for you!!!
