Even though it didnt work out, I still really like the app and the atmosphere and story it lends, so it's gone onto my list. I've got Elder Sign, which is a slightly easier mechanic (but no easier to win!), but I think Mansions trumps it for story/atmosphere. One of the really challenging things for games like this is the balance between investigating and getting a move-on. My instinct, every time, is to investigate everything. Pick everything up. Open every door. Leave no stone unturned. And that's death when there's basically a turn limit for completing the mission. It's the hardest thing for me to deal with.
This game has made me hostile towards light sources 😂Sooner or later it'll force you to set a fire! I've heard people say the timer on this scenario is brutal. I didn't have as much trouble, but then I had Ashcan with his free trade and Rita who was able to zip all over the place. She's great for when you just need someone to make a mad dash for the door at the end.
I just recently bought this game and played through the first scenario, watching this however pointed out to me that I didn’t follow the move action rules exactly 😅. But definitely very educational so I know a lot more for the next playthrough. Very cinematic with both audio and visual, looking forward to watching more videos from you!
Awesome playthrough. You made me buy the game again:) I sold it some time ago due to space restrictions however now I wish I hadnt done it. What is the mat you are using?

Ahh, rough at the end there! I still think this is an excellent game. It does need expansions to flourish though, at least 2. But I’d get them all if I was new and just getting into this. Especially since they’re starting to go out of print. This is still o e of the best “Arkham Files” game out there. I like Eldritch Horror as well, elder sign too. Next in my radar is Arkham Horror the LCG - Excited for the new release format.

Weren't you supposed to go into the app and press the investigator eliminated button after Trish died?
Weren't the monsters attacking Trish supposed to be taking some fire damage? Probably wouldn't have made much difference.

Really got into (or back into) most of them this year, we’ve had tons of campaigns of the LCG and loved it!
