This was a rare arrangement by Eli. He's only done Eleanor Rigby before, another little gem, but we are promised more goodies by Eli this upcoming year.
Great analysis!! This is absolutely one of my favorites as well. Cesar nailed the intro and outro and absolutely the right choice with his smooth voice and emotions. He's made multiple reactors cry and stop the video.
I was never a huge fan of this song because it was so overplayed, but Voiceplay made it new and amazing for me, and i'm in love with it again. Another great cover featuring Anthony is Golden Hour, which I highly recommend! Thanks for a great reaction!
They gave the song the respect it deserved but still made it their own... VP likes to give the lyrics space to breathe... I just had a look and you have not done "Nothing Else Matters" yet! If you want to see Voiceplay in seriousness pinnacle... this is it! 🌹🕊
Love this song. Love Anthony’s passion. Eli did a masterful job producing this. Cesar always plays the perfect part with his voice and actions. They are all so good and this song is done very well by them. The best I’ve heard by any group! ❤
I think I cried the first two dozen times I saw this. When Cesar’s voice breaks on the word “cry” in that first section it just brought on “all the feels”. I can get through it without crying now but it always gives me flashbacks to those days when I felt inadequate, undeserving and unaccepted. But at least I don’t bawl my eyes out every time anymore. I’ve seen other covers of this and some of them I get stalker vibes and a feeling of anger and frustration. I like this more introspective reflective (😉) version of it. And as much as I wanted to hear your reaction I did pause before you started the video to go out to your Patreon page and join. I always mean to but then I get distracted by the next video. So your little public service announcement paid off at least once this time 😂.
I really look forward to you morning Voice Play reactions. Great reaction to this stunning one. Cesar really nailed this one the way he did in Voice Play's cover of "I Can't Make You Love Me". Great job on all the arranging, editing and lighting from Eli here.
My favorite bit in this one is the Run, Run, Run. Eli is 'directing' the lights as they change for each word. His arrangements and his skill wth the lighting and production. I Can't Make You Love Me is heartbreaking, react to it anyway.
I would recommend the cover of CREEP done by Pau ( drummer) of the band the Warning just her and the piano at their home. Requested by their patreon subs as a challenge, that she went and prepared the song in 4 hours and came out with a wonderful and heartfelt performance is amazing. See how you think she did. Cheers
This is in my Voiceplay Top Five. Cesar is the perfect choice to bookend this song, and Anthony was the perfect guest for it. There's so much raw emotion here, it's a song almost everyone can relate to at some point in there life. Anthony's also wonderful in their cover of "Golden Hour" which also feature's Geoff's wife, as a character. And "The Wellerman," which it's impossible not to tap your toes to! It's a lot of fun too!
Eli arranged this one. It's SO DARN GOOD! For more stripped-down Voiceplay, check out their versions of "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" and "Can't Help Falling In Love" from back when Earl was still in the group
I think Eli did an amazing job with this one and showed it such a deep respect. I also love that Cesar started and ended it. His silky voice just had the right touch of emotion to it to pull at your heart strings. Wow!!!
Many have covered Creep... None with the full vocal orchestra that Voiceplay are known for. Not that this is BETTER than others, but it does carry their uniqueness. And ANTHONY - WOW what a perfect fit. Plus Caesar breaks hearts every time.
I think this is one of the most well done pieces they've ever put together in all aspects. The voices, the choice of guest artist, the arrangement, the video and everything that went into it feel like the perfect choices to have made, and the performance is stunning. Thanks for sharing your reaction with us!
VoicePlay made me love this song. The mirror was a perfect prop and it changed the song for me. They were seeing themselves and to me, it felt like once that happened that maybe they could change. I'd love to see your reaction to I Can't Make You Love Me as well.
Exactly what you said. VoicePlay can make any song yours and always with a lot of emotion, in this one in particular, they gave it the tone it needs to have. As if to say "Hey, this is what this song is about, listen to this, feel this!" It's beautiful, it's perfect. 🙌❤
It took me several times before I could listen to and watch this without crying. It’s really emotional! Perhaps people do hear you say that you don’t take requests here, but then they can’t help themselves when they write a comment.😊 We can get a bit eager sometimes…😂
I love this cover so so much. This song brings the emotions, and Cesar is just, WOW! They all poured their hearts into this one. Ilove the way they use the mirrors as a way of self reflection. So fire. Great reaction.
Voiceplay does such an amazing job of connecting to the emotion of a song. You should check out their cover of I Can't Make You Love Me. It features Omar Cardona's brother EJ who sings with the acapella group Voctave and his an amazing voice.
This was incredible!! Felt like my heart was being ripped out. Your attention and detail got my subscribe along with your awesome choice to react to this
Cesar just breaks your heart here. You should hear I Can’t Make You Love Me 🥹🥹🥹 I didn’t realize you’ve reacted to one with Anthony before, couldn’t find it.
Interesting comment on the sadness - this one was done by Eli, who also did Eleanor Rigby. It will be interesting, going forward, to see if this is something new Eli brings to the group.
Not quite totally new. After all, Geoff arranged "I Can't Make You Love Me" and that one was a real tear jerker, too. But then, it is another one where Cesar starts it off. That guy really brings the feels!
VoicePlay is at their best here. For a very different take on this iconic song, check out Paulina from The Warning doing an Instagram challenge, just her and the family piano. Not as polished, but oh so impactful and emotional. Well worth viewing, and be sure to watch until the end. Check it out. ruclips.net/video/A6Y4XpBxjU0/видео.htmlsi=YUS2s9Hz8kGi_jNH
I wholeheartedly concur, I have listened to Pau’s version so many times and every time I am almost in tears, she really understands the song, and the fact that she learned and recorded it in only a few hours just makes it so much better. Pau is a master of her trade!
I think it depends heavily on how one sees the original song. For me, the original had nothing to do with 'not belonging'. It set off anger and stalker vibes. Enough to actually turn me off the group back then. As I understand it, the writer has even said it was about a girl he used to follow around. I especially love the way 'perfect body and soul' seem to me to now be about body issues instead of possessiveness. I think it's about the use of the mirror, that changes that. And then right after with Eli's cry to be 'seen'. Not so much anymore, as I have listened to this many times, but when this first dropped, I found it impossible to not cry every time. The only part I could consider in the least bit 'jaunty' is the group shot, which is basically the heavy instrumental part in the original. Again - for me, (not expecting you to agree) that part was more about anger and drive. IF I recall correctly, the video has the crowd scenes intermixed there - lots of dance. I did feel that part in VP's version upped up the emotion there - much as it does in the original, but that is where I felt the most desperation showing - only to exhaust the emotion and go back into Cesar.
The original felt like an incel who was bragging on his nasty stalking habits to me. TBH, it grossed me out to the point of turning my stomach. Particularly on the line about control, which sounded like he wanted to control someone else. VoicePlay made it regretful and apologetic. I love this cover.
Blimey, no idea how you came to that interpretation. Its one of my all time favourite songs. It meant so much for me as a teenager, I felt like a creep and a weirdo. So sad you came to that conclusion but I suppose thats the beauty of music, its always open to interpretation.@@Gael4ce
This is the most moving cover of this song ever, but their cover of I Can’t Make You Love Me is even more heartbreaking.
100% agree! Also “Heart of Life”but that was true sadness I guess. Both can move me to 😢 if I’m in that sort of mood.
Yes, I Can't Make You Love Me is exceptional.
This was a rare arrangement by Eli. He's only done Eleanor Rigby before, another little gem, but we are promised more goodies by Eli this upcoming year.

Cesars voice was perfect for this song 😊💜💜
I love the style of #VoicePlay's arrangement in this and then the vocals and cinematography are spot on.

Janet - have you seen the version by Post Modern Jukebox (PMJ) featuring Haley Reinhart? Very different take on it, but also very emotional..
@@raycardy4843 I have it on my list to check out but the song really hits me hard so I have to be careful when I listen to it.

They always bring the feels. So talented. You did well to hide it but I could see you were moved. I alway am by this.

It is even some of the very best camera work we've seen in their videos, too. Loved the way the visual transitions worked - going from dark to dark.
such an emotional cover Cesar puts his whole heart and sole into this ❤

This is one song that I love watching reactions to.
Other than Brian Justin Crumb singing this, these guys have done this so beautifully it always gets to me deep into my soul.
Cesar just breaks your heart here. You should hear I Can’t Make You Love Me 🥹🥹🥹 I didn’t realize you’ve reacted to one with Anthony before, couldn’t find it.
Eli did a wonderful job with this arrangement. For more "all the feels" arrangements I suggest True Colors or I Can't Make You Love Me.
And Bridge Over Troubled Water❤
@@janetdw and True Colors
Loved this one!❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
The Warning's Pau cover of creep is the best! And she only needed 4 hours to get it ready. She did it as a challenge to her patreon subs.
I bet you would love Pau from the warning's version too!
Pau from the warning does this cover at home in her piano , a must see and reaction
I love everything they do! I like your shirt! 💜💜💜

Every time I hear this song covered by a group. Sorry but Pau from The Warning’s version is stuck in my head and is total fire.
I call this one "Voiceplay crying"
I suggest you do Creep by Pau from The Warning you'll be amazed.
Pau's version is the best for me
Sorry but after you listen to PAU from The Warnings version you just can’t listen to anything else.
I wholeheartedly concur, I have listened to Pau’s version so many times and every time I am almost in tears, she really understands the song, and the fact that she learned and recorded it in only a few hours just makes it so much better. Pau is a master of her trade!
Sorry, but not for me. This is a song about angst and pain and not belonging. This was far to jaunty.
I agree!
