If you didn’t do anything and suddenly your notes disappear, it could be because of a glitch. If you store your notes on the iCloud folder then you’d just have to refresh and it’ll come back. But if your notes are stored on the “on my iPhone” folder, then the only way to get it back (as far as i know) is if you have an icloud backup of your device, then you have to erase your phone and restore the backup using an earlier version of your phone (one where your notes hopefully still exist). I had 800+ notes and thankfully i was able to restore it that way, good luck everyone.

Is there a way to get them back because I turned on I cloud and it synced from the notes on my i pad and took away all of my I phone notes? So I turned off the I cloud and it deleted even my notes on my I pad
I have my notes, they are all safe and sound, it says the app is installed on my phone, but I can't find the icon by swiping left under categories or by reinstalling it in the app store. The app store says its installed.
On my phone: 1. There is no notes app on any of the home screens, 2. Notes does not appear on spotlight search, 3. It is still on my phone because when I search the App Store, it shows the app with “Open”, and when I open from the App Store, all the notes are there. How can I fix this??????
I had logged into another iCloud and everything erased on my notes, the only solution IF you had it already backed up is to delete notes app and go to settings, go to icloud next, then tap on apps using cloud, then turn on sync settings and they will all magically reappear, hope this helps 👍🏼🙌🏻

That's because you don't have any deleted items from the last 30 days! Btw did you find a fix to this problem?? My notes have simply disappeared! Not in recently deleted folder either
Yeah, but why would both save on my iPhone and iCloud folders are all missing says zero folders. And when I connect my phone to pc would i see a window pop up is this backing up my iPhone if so where can I see it ?
The Notes are only on the iCloud, limiting my access to them to be only when I am on cell service. Can I have them back on the phone regardless of being online or not?

So just to clarify: I've only ever backed up my iPhone using iTunes. I've been wanting to back up my Notes data to use on the iCloud mobile site on my PC. So before I turn on iCloud Notes in my phone settings, I need to turn on "iCloud Backup" first, let the backup finish, and THEN I can turn on "iCloud Notes" ?? ... Is this correct? I just don't want to have to restore my whole iPhone lol. Thanks you so much! :)

My case : * Files were not deleted * Notes / sheet is present to be selected * Contents are blank for some reason Usually they come back when I keep it open for a while on my iPad. I lost my notes on my iphone that were saved in icloud notes folder. I restored from an older backup and once the phone restores I can see the notes but after about 30 seconds or so they start to disappear all by itself until all are gone. This happened twice. Any ideas why
Same issue for me.. I had nothing to lose… so I purposely deleted the notes app, and then reinstalled it from the App Store. It then gave me a prompt saying “turn iCloud on”, to which there were two options to choose from, “open settings” and “not now”… I clicked on the settings option, and then the icloud toggle was turned off. I turned it back on, came into the notes and waited. It slowly refreshed one by one and I got all the notes back. :) Hope this helps x
My notes created by macbook just don't sync properly! The images of the notes that were created on the mac do not load on the iphone or the website! And when I try to delete a folder on any device the folder reappears! Wow and there are still TAGs that don't work either! If I create a tag "#Things" on Mac, on iphone it appears "#..." . Lots of problems and I haven't been able to solve them for months. Anyone go through this?
