for anyone struggling to hit your shiny frame on emerald, i had the same problem and spent over 9 hours hitting within 1-2 frames of the target but never hitting the shiny frame so i took the advice of some of the other comments and caught a ralts with synchronize and the same nature as the shiny target, put it at the front of the party, and switched to the old rod instead of the super rod and i hit the shiny feebas on the literal first try... for some reason it appears the fishing method requires the synchronize method in some cases to actually hit the correct frame, not sure how much the rod really matters but synchronize is for sure the key factor so hopefully this helps anyone having the same problem i was
thanks, this worked!! had to go on a whole side-quest to get a docile ralts first tho haha. i think using a super rod is still best because that can assure the feebas frame hit, not that you can’t without it tho. also, since you can target natures in pokefinder, it was super easy to choose the feebas with the nature that had the least frames and then go get the ralts based off that. now for the hard part, evolving feebas (i suck at making pokeblocks lol)
I literally just caught my feebas today using rng and I was kind of shocked to see that you uploaded that video just 4 hours ago:D I didnt know that the game decides randomly whether feebas appears or not, I thougth that a certain pokemon was kinda preset for a certain frame. So while fishing with the Old Rod, after some shiny tentacool and magikarp on my early frames, I finally got a feebas on frame 31072... watching your video earlier would have saved me a lot of time :D thank you for the uplaod :) maybe I´ll try to get a shiny feebas on my early frames too
I love your videos, I've been getting a lot of good results with RNGíng so far. But with this one I'm facing a problem: I need to hit frame 7458, and caught 3 shiny carvanha so far and am almost always in the range of 5 frames. But everytime I encounter a Feebas my frames are all over the place, sometimes over 100 frames apart. Then when I search given Feebas' IV's I find that it's IV's are often calculated with a different Method than the previous one (switches between H1, H2 and H4 pretty much everytime) and each of these Methods give their own deviation of frames from my aim. Is this a normal phenomenon or am I doing something wrong?

Unfortunately that's not how it works, there is no correlation between the number of "Oh! A bite!" you get and whether you get Feebas or Carvanha. It's all vblank dependent. You can verify this on emulator - if you take a save state on the "A Pokemon is on the hook!" screen and press A after different amounts of time, you'll get different Pokemon.

Hi. Maybe someone here can help me out, I'm pretty desperate: I've recently started with RNG manipulation (not for shinys but for good IVs) and usually I hit frames in a range of +/-20 of the wanted frame. Sometimes though even though I hit the counter exactly the same as before, I am 160+ frames off which is just impossible. I would definitely recognize that if I'm more than 2s behind. And even weirder sometimes the IVs of the pokemon won't match any frame from 1 to 100.000 at all. (these problems only appear to accure while fishing, didn't have a problem with sweet scent) Also EON timer doesn't work at all. It's usually 1-2 seconds off that's why I switched to a normal stopwatch. I'd be very happy if someone got an answer for that. Thanks!
You've probably found a solution or given up by now, but first off, are you sure are inputting the right TID/SID combination into RNG Reporter? RNG Reporter doesn't lie, so the only possible way that you could be hitting frames that aren't on the spreadsheet is if you are putting in the wrong TID/SID combo and/or the wrong initial seed ( it's 5A0 for dead battery RS and 0 for Emerald). Additionally, if Eon Timer is off, just put the frame you hit into the Frame Hit box, and it will automatically increase or decrease the timer countdown to a time that's closer to that frame.
@@rileyk6147 I seem to have the same problem. I am always close to the frame (~5 frames off at most) and whenever I encounter a Feebas my frames are sometimes more than 100 frames off. This also depends on which Method will be used to calculate the iv's of Feebas, which seems random, so sometimes it indeed doesn't show up on your Pokéfinder because it used a different Method. This seems very random, because when I don't update the deviation, it could very well be that the next Feebas encounter is within a 15 frame range instead of 100, but then the next one is over 150. I got 3 shiny carvanha within 10 tries, but after the constant updating of the calibration, my aim is now ~150 frames off from the shiny frame... My shiny frame is 7458, but if I aim at (and probably hit) let's say frame 7520, it could very well be that the Feebas encounter says I hit frame 7440 for some reason, while all carvanha's are close to 7520, for example. The next Feebas encounter then could say I hit frame 7600, for absolutely no reason at all. Do you happen to know what problem I am encountering here?

The best RNG manip in Gen4 imo is the Cute Charm glitch. Gives like 1/13 chance for every pokemon with a gender to be shiny. Its really cool. You should check that out if you're interested in gen 4 RNG manipulation.
For anyone attempting this on Emerald, I think the slot number might have something to do with what you get too. I caught at least 6 carvanha on my target feebas frame that was on slot 1, but when I tried slot 0, I got the feebas first try on the correct frame.
i just had a similar experience on Sapphire; found 8 shiny carvanhas in slot 4, tried slot 1 on a nearby frame and got first shiny i hit was a feebas. might be true?

Can someone explain to me how to find what frame you hit. How can I update my eon-timer when the stats dont match what your pokemon came up as? This goes for all the videos on ruby/sapphire on updating based on stats and nature.
I think the Feebas tiles are generated by the trendy phrase in Dewford Town. Though not sure they'll be the same between 2 exact Tid/Sid manipulated games with the same phrase.

@@simplejaydan7483 good luck! Even if this one does not give you a shiny Feebas, my guess is that you would have to change shiny frame until you find one that generates only Feebas.. just a matter of patience
Any chance you can do a video for this on specifically Emerald? For one, the rng finder tool has changed a lot since this video was made. And two, I have been at this for 8 hours, and any Carvanha I have found are non-existent on my listings of the regular to shiny ones for each frame! And I know my TID and SID are correct because I have been using the same save file since following your tutorials on shiny starter and Sweet Scent shiny hunts for emerald. So I am incredibly confused right now as to why I am finding Carvanha and Feebas that are neither shiny nor exist on the frame listing? 😭
Example: I have a frame 124060 shiny lvl25 Female carvanha. Upon reeling in the catch, I get a level 20 Female Carvanha. Ranging 100k backwards and forwards from that specific frame, not a single lvl 20 Carvanha even exists? Its so odd! Never seen this happen on any of my other hunts before. Any grass/cave hunts I am normally off by less than 10 frames and then just calibrate from there.
There must be something about the fishing that throws off the frames because I have used the method for several other shinies but have been at this for weeks at a time over the past year and still haven't got it unfortunately.@@Darkqualza
I used slot 0 synchronize and an old rod and it worked, just make sure you tell pokefinder youre using synchro, no delay. I suggest getting the calibration from a grass hunt and then just using that calibration for the fishing.@@Darkqualza

Many shiny frames have a sibling shiny frame very close to it - something like 2-100 frames away from each other. It's good to try both. I've done this but I still found 10 shiny Magikarps and no feebas idk what im doing wrong :(
Can some explain to me why you use H-1 here and H-2 with oddish? Im trying to get a shiny gardevoir with specific stats, I realized the occidentary row is the same as the one for your trainer id on the starter video. So i tried to replicate that with a different id so i got the specific could get a specific shiny ralts.
(Sapphire BTW)
In H-1 the occidentary i want is 20499 (frame 20450)
My trainer id is 44535 which was on (Frame 20499)
I though if i got this specific ID I would get a shiny ralts at frame 20450 (- sweet scent oddish animation) cause of H-1 chart, but its not working.
Can some please tell me how to get the shiny ralts at (Chart H-1 Naughty Nature , Perfect HP, Sp atk, Speed, and sp. def) what ID do i need to farm?????
LeBearax h1 and h2 just change randomly between the 2 it doesn’t matter, feebas usually ends up being h4
@@imablisy but in RNG reporter H-1 and H-2 have different stats for different frames. When you do oddish sweet scent, do you look at H-1 or H-2?
Shiny boi?
SHINY BOOOIIII!!! 😂
i would love to see some rng shiny starter pokemon in gen4 :)
never sorry
The best RNG manip in Gen4 imo is the Cute Charm glitch. Gives like 1/13 chance for every pokemon with a gender to be shiny. Its really cool. You should check that out if you're interested in gen 4 RNG manipulation.
i already did it a few times but i think ints not working for eggs and pokemon they were given to you @@noshow66
For anyone attempting this on Emerald, I think the slot number might have something to do with what you get too. I caught at least 6 carvanha on my target feebas frame that was on slot 1, but when I tried slot 0, I got the feebas first try on the correct frame.
ok cool needed to know that 🙂
i just had a similar experience on Sapphire; found 8 shiny carvanhas in slot 4, tried slot 1 on a nearby frame and got first shiny i hit was a feebas. might be true?
@@girllloyd1214 you literally just got unlucky, it is random.
it gets decided by vblank, a seperate rng engine in the game
same frame can be both carvahna and feebas (as you can see in the video lol)
this is insane, got mine, thank you
Hi I used your method to catch shiny starter so we got same SID TID is there any chance that the tile that Feebas is generated is attached to these values or is it just random 6 tiles you got to find? Thanks for your cool videos! Keep it up!
Can someone explain to me how to find what frame you hit. How can I update my eon-timer when the stats dont match what your pokemon came up as? This goes for all the videos on ruby/sapphire on updating based on stats and nature.
He literally explains it at 7:00 did you even watch the vid lol
is this only on the computer?
Pokefinder doesnt work
Can I use Emloop to do this instead of EonTimer?
Wait no delay 261 on this? You’re outside.
omg bro ive been using a delay and wondering why i cant get it hold up
did it work taking off the delay?
@@marioguerra7917 not yet 😭
This is not Sweet scent
take off the delay and make sure youre hunting for slot 0 @@marioguerra7917
do synchronize work for that?
Are the feebas spots always the same on every safe file with the same manipulated ID's and dead battery or are those generated differently?
unsure actually, I'd have to rng the tid and check
I think the Feebas tiles are generated by the trendy phrase in Dewford Town. Though not sure they'll be the same between 2 exact Tid/Sid manipulated games with the same phrase.
@@Kajidoh Yeah i know its generated by the trendy phrase, maybe even having the same initial seed in 5A0 makes them the same who knows
I tested it my feebas is at the same spot as yours with the same ID's
Idk why fishing isn't working for me . Stationary and sweet scent work fine but fishing doesn't.
any luck on figuring it out?
Love these type of video’s. Finding out new things. #thebest!!

@@imablisy for the eon ticket glitch does it need to be the Japanese version?
@@stevenv9451 english or jp are fine
I see your videos, but I do not understand what you say, because I do not speak English and I want to try RNG in my game
Sounds like you're speaking english just fine to me 🤷🏼♂️😂

trying this in emerald i have gotten over a hundred shiny carvanah and no feebas am i doing something wrong?
I had the same problem, try going for different shiny frames (even with the same encounter slot): I switched between three, and in the end it worked for me! Probably some frames will never generate a Feebas
@@The96Joker i was thinking that but i have 2 shiny frames for the carvanah withing 6 frames of eachother and ive hit both to many times to count. might try a later frame but already waiting like 5 minutes per setup so its gonna be annoying
That was exactly my setup too! I kept going with my two early shiny frames that were close to each other but with no luck.. in the end I switched to a third one (10 minutes into the game) and that generated a shiny Feebas
@@The96Joker okay sweet i actually have an earlier frame i forogt i skipped cuase not the best IV's but gonna give that a shot and see
@@simplejaydan7483 good luck! Even if this one does not give you a shiny Feebas, my guess is that you would have to change shiny frame until you find one that generates only Feebas.. just a matter of patience
Can I find shiny feebas in emerald using this method?
솔레일 yea
@@imablisy FInally I found :) Thanks you so much!!
Can i use an emulator on pc cause i dont have gameboy console ?
yea
Thanks , I've been lookin through your other videos as well so i wanna try my luck at a shiny . Never caught one before -_-
Any chance you can do a video for this on specifically Emerald?
@@anthonybrown6872 been at it since my first comment. Still no shiny. At this point, just gonna buy a GameShark to force a shiny feebas.
I used slot 0 synchronize and an old rod and it worked, just make sure you tell pokefinder youre using synchro, no delay. I suggest getting the calibration from a grass hunt and then just using that calibration for the fishing.@@Darkqualza
I've been trying to get this for a week now, and the calibration for my game goes off by 15 frames up and down sometimes. Is this because of the Vblank calls? Ive gotten way too many Shiny Carnvaha :(
Specfically when a Feebas shows up it is 10-15 frames off but the Carvanha are always close 3ish frames to my shiny frame. It is really confusing.
@@Zafraud you ever figure this out? i am having the same problem
@@jordancormack7684 I never did unfortunately idk enough in depth mechanics of RNG abuse, I found it easier to get shiny Feebas in Gen 4 with the Cute Charm Glitch so that's what I ended up doing lol
Are you sure all shiny frames are working for Feebas? I've tried many times, caught 10+ carvanhas using super rod, 2 magikarps, 2 tentacools using good rod, but still no Feebas. Oddly, my shiny frame always produces shiny carvanhas lv 30 or 31. I've tried different shiny frame, got carvanha lv 25 but still no shiny Feebas. Any ideas what to do?
did you ever figure this out? having similar problems
@@jordancormack7684 Nope, I was never able to get a shiny Feebas with RNG. And I have no idea what other factors can contribite to make it working.
@@SimaShangde I had the same issue but then I realized that the encounter slot actually has a huge impact if you can get a feebas or not. Make sure your shiny frame encounter slot is not 2 and that should allow you to get a shiny feebas
@@jordancormack7684 After all this time I've tried it once again and this time I succeeded! I'm not quite sure what was the reason, but I've tried several things. Back then I was using RNG Reporter, this time Pokefinder, but I highly doubt it could have changed anything. There is one thing I've noticed. Many shiny frames have a sibling shiny frame very close to it - something like 2-100 frames away from each other. It's good to try both. I got my shiny feebas in a Slot 1 (which was the 2nd of the pair). I've tried several shiny frames and was able to get it quite late (around 18th minute). If you are trying late frames, doing it on VBA, make sure to uncheck RTC (the obvious one) and set Gameboy to GBA (I'm also not sure if it does anything, but but set it anyway).
I need some help, i'm trying to rng on Emerald, and when i got my SID two showed up, one is for "Method1" and yje other one is for "Method2" when i check my early shiny frames on both id's one is at 20:08 and the other is at 20:10 also one of them has more shinies when i click on generate.
I tried both sid with a syncronize but no luck, is this normal? i looked around and from what i can tell i should only have 1 sid i i'm lost at this point.. also my enerald version is italian if that makes any difference, please someone help.
You have 2 probables shiny ids, try using both of these to rng a shiny mon, and use the one that works.
How did you get a shiny frame with those ivs? it's insane
Rngd the tid
I assume you use sweet scent under the same method, sub 261 frames?
Can anyone tell me my SID please. I have a pokemon ruby with dead battery and My Tid is 45645.
