A ouija board is only a means of communication with any spirits that are ALREADY there and willing to communicate with you. They wouldn't sell them, especially to kids, if they really 'opened up a door that couldn't be closed.'

Used one with friends once, nothing happened, but even if we didn’t end up contacting anything, I believe it is still inviting bad things into your home or life. After my encounter, every dream I had for a week featured this odd creature and I started to feel chronically ill. My close friend began finding little cuts in the shape of triangles on her fingers. We decided to do some sort of cleansing that weekend and it all went away after that. Just don’t mess with them, it’s not even that cool anyway.

Had a roomate once who used a Quiji board without my knowledge. Next night when I'm home alone I saw a dark figure going down the hallway into their room so I grab my shotgun thinking its an intruder but when I try to enter the room the door is locked. I kick in the door only to see no one in the room but I see a Quiji board on their bed. Next thing I do is call that roomate telling them they've got 12 hours to leave and that their rent won't be refunded. My other roomates being somewhat pissed asked why I did that I told them "New house rule: don't you ever fucking bring a Quiji board anywhere near this property". Shortly before that roomate finished moving out I had them torch their Quiji board and handed them back half their rent.
Some might say thats extreme kicking them out but my neighborhood was built around an old slave plantation which was converted into a church and over the years I've had various paranormal experiences which I don't like to discuss much so I don't take that shit lightly.
