The whole song is intentionally arranged like that for their performance in the show it's because the performance has a story and that's why the song has different transitions to match the story.

This was a remix of the original song, which was a ballad on their second Mini Album 'I Made'. The Remix was especially made by Soyeon for this one time performance on Queendom. And that is why it feels like a journey, like a story is told because that is what they did with this performance. And I can only recommend to check this performance on Queendom out because that will give you the context needed to fully appreciate this version of the song.

You should listen to the original version called 'Say no / Put it straight' for a comparison. Although the nightmare version is legendary on Queendom, maybe you would prefer the original version musically wise.
The song begins with Soyeon realizing the situation. She will accept that she will leave it to the lesson, but she cannot accept it, but she is slowly facing where she came - when we notice a situation, we find our hearts beating and we get nervous. So the music is completely appropriate for this, slow and heartbeat -
The more she accepts, the less panic with the rhythm. Like the silence before the storm. Finally she goes crazy and can't stand the pain, screaming (refrain) Finally she tries to deny the pain and she starts to hurt more, strange voices in his mind
After that horror effect, my ear waited for the chorus, but it turns to the bridge part. When we think about it, after we get mad, we calm down and start questioning. Just like the lyrics and rhythm in the song.

The original arrangement of this song is ballad with much less instrumental and no rap part. The original is very good as it is but you should watch the live performance in Queendom because this remix is made for that specific performance. That's why the arrangement feels a little weird hahaha

The nightmare version was arranged specifically to be performed in a survival show called Queendom so it did tell a story and the performance was spectacular.
