I'll never forget that court. The first time I had seen pro tennis live was at the 2018 US Open. I arrived on a Wednesday early afternoon, got an iced coffee at the café just up the way, in the courtyard beside Arthur Ashe, strolled about a bit, sipping the coffee, peering around admiring the courtyard and the various sights … *non*-tennis sights, as I thought - until I rounded the corner of this court, at the top right corner of the camera, and suddenly, standing right there in front of me getting ready to receive serve? … Friekin Dominika Cibulkova! I was utterly star-struck. It's quite an experience, that, when you have seen a person, a fairly big sports star, on TV so many times. And as you can see here (just compare that walkway to the actual court surface) she was *right there.* It is so incredible to be able to amble up and watch court-side some world-class athletes. I love the US Open so much. I don't care much for money, but it is one of the few incentives to make a lot of money, being able to go to this tournament regularly. (I am from California, so it's not cheap). Oh by the way, her opponent was not bad either - Shi Su Wei. (Between you and me - her body is *smoking hot!* WOW the TV does not do it justice).
Not shaming Taylor at all but whomever is her management and closest to her they need to step up and convince this phenom to get fit before her career passe her by. She literally could have been a multiple slam winner if she could compete w the games elite, just at a fitness level. She has more tools than 85 of the top 100 on any given afternoon. It is just sad that sparing the rod and spoiling the child is gonna be the tale of her tape. Explain to me how the eff is it shaming when you are supposed to be an elite athlete. Supreme fitness is normally a requirement for that distinction.
I see what ur saying but some people don't want to win it all they just want to be remembered. and u don't have to be skinny to win grand slams obvi but I do agree that she needs to be more fit
Perry she's no where near world.class fit which is why shes playing doubles on the main tour. Being accurate isnt hating its facts. She isn't fit enough to max her potential period. Has nothing to do w my viewpoint. She should be winning slams w her skill sets. What a waste of an investment. I hope her child makes her happy because she absolutely wasted the last 7 years of her career.
