Incredibly underrated band and kind people. Both times I've seen them (one that I drove 5 hours for) there weren't many people there, and i don't understand why.

Think outside stereotypes and societal concepts, my friend. Everyone needs something to drive them in this world, for some it's their work, for some it's their money, for some it's family, for others it's pursuit of knowledge. A God is just another passion to live for for some. Yeah some people take things too far, but these guys didn't evangelize when I saw them a bit ago. They're just sharing their passion. I think that's what's important, I'll listen to that even though I'm not christian.

I think the point of that original comment, however crass, was to point out that a lot of christianity does not do what you are advocating for. It forces its followers to be closed-minded and to look at the lifestyles of others as somehow inferior. This is an incredibly difficult position to make art from.
pete burkeet the purpose of an open mind is to not always stay opened. An open mind is like an opened mouth, it opens only to close on something solid (food/truth). The purpose of asking questions is not to continually quest but to arrive at the shore of answers. Truth by definition is exclusive. You cannot have A and non-A simultaneously at the same time in the same relationship. Truth is a Person. Truth has eyes, tongue, feet and living flesh. Jesus said that he was “The Truth” and the Way. Without the existence of God reason cannot exist because He created reason and upholds the human mind and created order. Christianity is true because the God of the Bible says so. One may respond that is circular reasoning, but all reason is circular. Why do you believe X to be true? Because reason says so. But, one has to use reason itself to defend the validity of reason (circular). We all have some form of authority or how we ground the nature of existence. We all act in accordance to our worldview. There is no such thing as neutrality when approaching truth because we all look at reality and judge it based on our deep-rooted beliefs.

Not at all dude. I like metal, but it seems like people don't like worship music/christian music unless it has a lot of breakdowns in it. Kinda lame.
