    I appreciate your videos and I'm trying to watch all the FT70 videos I can due to my new purchase. Just a friendly request... Many times in your video you're doing things (pressing buttons) but you have the buttons and what you are pressing off-screen. Please put the keypad in the camera view so we can actually see what you're pressing. Thank you and I appreciate you trying to help others.

      informative video. do you know of any videos that show programming wires x on a new/unused device. everyone ive seen, including your, most of the programming has been done prior to recording. its great you take the time to do these videos but one from scratch would be even better...thanks.

      Hi Raymond first of all program the radio with your call sign.
      Secondly program it with your local repeaters FM and digital.
      Listen to how they operate. You do not need a DMR ID. You are ready to go.

    Thanks for this video. I just got this radio today and while waiting for the battery to charge I read through the book (could be a bit better) and am watching this video which has already answered many questions. But I (am) wondering...at about 8:00 you really do not need to set the memory to any particular memory number do you? I mean, when you go to store a memory, it will just offer the next available one, right?? Thanks again.

    The 70D is a nice radio but the battery sucks. 4 hours of transmit time with a 1700 maH battery
    Give me a break Yaesu.

    • @digitalanaloguehamradio
      @digitalanaloguehamradio  5 лет назад +1

      Frank Black It is not very good. And I mention this in my review and initial impressions. I’ve got a spare battery and use it occasionally.

    • @rjlewis3932
      @rjlewis3932 5 лет назад

      Digital Analogue Ham I was just reiterating the battery is my major complaint. Any digital HT these days should have at least a 2000 maH,, preferably a 2200 maH battery. I have an Anytone 878 DMR that has a 3100 maH, and it lasts 12-18 hours with heavy use. In addition, Yaesu charges a small fortune for their accessories. I believe the battery for the 70D is around $60 USD.

    • @digitalanaloguehamradio
      @digitalanaloguehamradio  5 лет назад

      Frank Black yes I totally agree. Although my spare battery sells for about 30 UK pounds take a look how much they are you may be surprised. All my other radios last for days and days. Still very pleased with the radio very easy to program repeaters et cetera
