The marches are 1. Nairac,GC by S Watts 2. Abmarsch in de Quartiere/Back to the Quarters by HL Blankenburg (Forgive me, Delvin. Blame it on Spring fever)
Nairac GC is a superb march written in honour of Captain Robert Nairac GC who was killed whilst on active service in Northern Ireland in May 1977. Lest we Forget
Well, This is a little Gem of a Clip. I kept thinking I know bits of that Quick March & thanks to Meadowlands I know why. It's by Blankenburg. This makes 4 of his Marches now that the Guards Bands have played Recently & I like them all. His Marches have his Signature on them, it's not a Specific, it's a little Flavour. It's Exactly the Same thing with Strauss, his Radetsky March has it but so does his Waltzes, you know it's Strauss, even though the Music & Tempo are very Different. At Risk of having my Head bitten off, I'd like to ask a Question about the Instruments if I may. I know the Trombones but I don't think it's them. I'm a Complete Zero when it comes to the Instruments behind them. I know there's Bugles, Flugles, Cornets & Trumpets & probably a lot more I may see, Do they Need Tuning? or some sort of Maintenance? I hate being Negative or Criticising the Bands, but I have to say from about 2:00 in this Video, an Instrument sounds Very Sick. I winced & tried to Ignore it but it is too hard. It may be a Trombone & if it is I can Say it is Not the Bass, it's too high for that. I do play an Instrument that uses Air to Make Notes Sometimes, I Play the Organ, Mines Electric, but I've Played Pipe Organs, Cathedral & Theatre with up to 5 Manuals, if I made a Note like those, I'd be sending for an Organ Builder to Tune it. However, I do know Pipe Organs are affected by Atmosphere, Temperature & Water Build up. Maybe it's the Same with Brass Instruments, I mean the Principles the same. The Noise is made in the Pipes, the Manuals & Stops are really Just a Collection of Valves that achieves the Note Value by Changing the Amount of Air that gets to the Pipes. An Organ Manual has 5 Octaves & 61 Keys, A Full Cathedral Organ somewhere like Westminster Abbey would have 5 Manuals (Keyboards) & 3 Pedal Boards & something like 500 Stops. The Pipe Organs I play the Most is a Medium sized Church Organ, Only 3 Manuals, 1 Pedal Board with 86 Stops or a Wurlitzer Theatre Organ with 3 Manuals, 1 Pedal Boards & 16 Pipe Ranks that sits on a Worm-Drive Platform Lift, in The Civic Theatre. I know how Problematic Atmospherics & Temperature can be. Does it affect Brass Instruments the same? Thank You Mr ME! Great Job & some Brilliant Close Ups.

you were quicker on the draw this time!😂
Hahaha! No need to apologise Sir, after all you were the Original March lister! Two spiffing marches! Great to hear them!
@@delvinrodriguez3341 You are too kind, sir. Hardly the original. Credit must be given to others, in particular,
World of Marches (Hjaltland60).
@@meadowlands1937 I absolutely agree! World of Marches contributed and continues to contribute greatly! Both of you were my inspiration! Haha!
