You guys should do an apology/explanation. You can make it part of the drama of the show. People will respect you for it, you'll be even more popular. Go ahead: Take a lemon and make lemonade. I assure you it will taste quite sweet.
This is nice to give people a chance to perform, who normally would not have such an opportunity. Wonderful idea. It's a simple fact of life; when you perform publicly you open yourself to criticism. Not much wrong with that. I think the middle judge is Gabe Kaplan from Welcome Back Kotter; either that or they were separated at birth.
Aryeh Zeev Sauders was on a show in the UK called strictly kosher, he is so lovely and seeing him get married on that show was brilliant! nice to see him again and so unexpected!
Someone marked this as spam? It's actually a very thoughtful and TRUE sentiment. It's definitely not spam. It's called practicing free speech and expressing one's right to an opinion. Thank you for your comment, Chaim Belkin.
It is a reality show - it says so clearly in the description. When you come to a reality show, you can expect that EVERYTHING will be taped and aired. I hated last years show - where everyone did a "great" job and they just lacked a bit of "chayus". Judges being real is not a bad thing...
I really liked Levi Epstein. He should have definitely gone through!!! And if he actually did change key in middle, they should have shown that.... Love the show, though, and definitely going to keep watching
I wouldn't blame the kid who sang Yaaleh Vyavo at 12:20-12:40. The piano for the chorus was way off key and the rhythm was off. Listen to the piano closely for that and you'll see what I am talking about.
You're right. They have a right to do whatever they want- the judges, producers, etc. But when I was watching the contestants audition in front of their families, and the judges laughed, I was very uncomfortable, as I'm sure the families were, as well. It just wasn't funny. Once again, if we ere talking about American Idol with random people making fools of themselves, that can be funny for some people. This doesn't work with a Frum show directed at a Frum audience.
This had a lot of potential: Star-studded judges, pretty nice production, and a lot of people interested.... Not exciting at all. There was also, as a lot of people have pointed out, embarrassment of perfectly nice people who probably didn't realize hat they were getting into. It may work on "American Idol" but not here. It was very distasteful. You lost my vote
You found an amazing Jewish Star that kid Yonatan is amazing!
Mordechai Levovitz is the best! He should definitely win! What an amazing voice!

Can one have favorites? Levi and Yonatan were mine. Too bad the former had to go. He had an awesome voice. I did like Yonatan though. Too cute. :)
I really really like the song "I want to be" by Nachas. Has it been released? I've been searching for it.

Perhaps it wasn't funny, but it was definitely gripping...it's a reality show - not an Uncle Moishy show.
Not enough modi, and the part were they laugh at the guy ... Not cooll

You should call it the Orthodox Jewish Male Star, the name is misleading.
