The position depends on the condition of the patient...if the patient has difficulties in breathing semi-fowlers position.
If patient is having low oxygen Saturation then 30 degrees on a pillow is ok
As for the amount or flow check oxygen Saturation.

Not dyspneac elevate bed end at 30 degrees+ oxygenation

@ Rabby we use sodium bicarbonate because it breakdown all the debris or mucus which you suction from the airway... And the tube can be reused on the same patient.
