very sweet specimens ❤ i also collect smaller pieces. dont do any shows, just acquire them because umm... theyre pretty :-) have prob 70 specimens myself now. Many of them were gifts from a collector that has been traveling the world since the 70s and collecting things by hand. He even wrote a chapter in an older book called "American Mineral treasures". He was all over the thomas mountain range. Really sweet guy, got incredibly lucky to meet him and become friends. Have a few incredible pieces of topaz from him. Thanks for showing everything off. I loved hearing about what youve got. Honestly, there arent many videos of rough specimen collectors on youtube (that arent dedicated to rockhounding itself). Fun to see!
Also, I have a similar stilbite and apophyllite sculpture to your stilbite. It is a beautiful tower with similar bowties and cubes. Sweet! I could watch this all day.
That is so awesome! I'm glad to see fellow collectors comment and enjoy this! I really appreciate the kind words and it's so cool you made friends with someone who has got to be involved with minerals so heavily since the 70's really neat!
@aprilmeowmeow Awesome! That's really cool. They're beautiful. I have a whole mineral playlist on my channel so if you really wanna spend a day watching here it is! ruclips.net/p/PLpGyYArBWTi5S463GhuNyH2OYKvC3dtbk&si=7og4eU-eGHWkVb_M
Wow milpillas is my favorite mine for azurite (or tied with tsumeb since they look similar) but what I really love about yours is obviously the gemminess but also sitting on that Snow White matrix, I haven’t seen too many like that. It reminds me a lot of neptunites on I think natrolite. Awesome piece, you should be proud of that one. I have a milpillas but it’s maybe 1/10th the size with a small amount of white matrix, I wasn’t sure what the matrix was so maybe I learned from your video that it could be dickite.
Do you mount the pieces for display yourself? And if so, where do you get the bases, and what do you use to secure them? They look great and I’d love to display a few of my own similarly.
@@MrThemarcusman yes I do, I would get them from khyber minerals. Here's my other video in my playlist of mineral videos on how i mount them. ruclips.net/video/iIb5SO-otVU/видео.htmlsi=QK-XcY8o4fI16Rij
I do believe Specularite is a variety of Hematite, no? Sort of like all vipers are snakes but not all snakes are vipers? But yes I would also be inclined to call those blades roses Specularite even though Hematite wouldn't be improper
There are some absolutely glorious pieces there, and it was particularly awesome to see stuff from Bulgaria :) Cheers for sharing dude!

Yeah! Thanks! Very lucky I got one! Good comparison on the neptunite on natrolite! Yours most likely is on dickite if it's from Milpillas
I actually have dug at that natrolite/benitoite mine once. Smelled horrible. Found some examples but nothing good. One small gemmy-ish benitoite
Very nice collection
Thanks a lot
I love how there’s a “miniature” class
Right! Too funny!

Awesome video. I'm curious, Might I ask where you got the acrylic stands from?
Thanks! The business is called Khyber minerals. If you google them their website should pop up 😁
Where do you get your rocks from?
Especially the vanadinite- one of my favorite crystals
All over the world. But I sell them too! Check out mineralsofmoria on Instagram and message me :)

It's ridiculous the prices of minerals nowadays even for the poor quality ones.
I’m so in love with your amazing collections man, but I am so in love with your so relaxing sexy voice 😂❤
I can't blame you for either 🤣

i still can’t see bevelled acrylic base like that 😢
@@kerlrock have you tried khyberminerals.com?
I also use a p-touch label maker
I think that's quartz with specularite, not hematite. Anyway, I love your collection.
Thanks! You might be right!
Let me know. I'll let you know all my sources.
I do believe Specularite is a variety of Hematite, no? Sort of like all vipers are snakes but not all snakes are vipers? But yes I would also be inclined to call those blades roses Specularite even though Hematite wouldn't be improper
Specularite is a varietal name for hematite. Varietal names are silly, and to be avoided.
Sir ihave one from philipines
Jesus Christ, Marie
They’re rocks,hank!
may i ask where is the best place to shop for these?
