First time we have seen such a large mud brick building. The Vulcan Hotel is a rare gem. Shame its not open at the moment. The sign said because of covid but have heard its changed hands so not sure why it's still shut.
How did you film that b-roll when you went up through the town? Did you drive and film or just walk it and sped up the footage? It came out nice! What a cute little town!
We just drove slowly up and down the hill. Lynne held the camera out the window. We do all our driving along shots like that to avoid refections in the glass of the windscreen. The GoPro 10 has horizon levelling so she does not have to worry too much about the camera being perfectly level.
@@Komikino yes so are we. We have been using a few Hero 7 for a few years now with some frustrations. This GoPro 10 is working very well and as you say with good advancements. It's great for what we do.
What fantastic EarthTONE colors in this video. 🦀
It surprised us with the colours. Not a very well known place but full of beauty.
Very nice area. Love the buildings! 😍😍

Such a beautiful area. Thank you taking us with you.
Thanks appreciate your comments.
Thanks for an informative and interesting tour! Beautiful scenery; the area really reminds me of Gold Country in British Columbia.
I'm going to have to check out British Columbia and Southern Alberta.
that was a productive trip :)
Yes we had a great time exploring Central Otago and picked up a few geocaches along the way. Hoping to go back again next Autumn.
The countryside reminds us of southern Alberta.
I must google Alberta and take a look around.

@@GeoRick I am really surprised at how well the GoPro has advanced over the years since I bought my GoPro Hero 2 about 10 years ago.
