You put a lot of effort into making these videos and sharing your years of experience with those of us just hoping to attain your skills in time. Thank you.
Thanks heaps from OZ. You have brought back the inspiration for me to get back into completing a couple of projects that I just realised have been sitting on the bench in the workshop a bit too long in your absence. Good to see you back.
I use a spry adhesive to stick the paper. Then when it wears out, a little Acetone will loosen it and I can reuse the glass. Or, you could just buy peel and stick sandpaper to begin with.
@@shipmodelguy Thank you Tom for the tips. Quite by accident I have all the Ingredients. By the way, to peel off the CA, I use anticianoacrilat gel - it softens the glue and easily peels off the details, though I have not yet found an analogue of this in the US. About acetone - did not know...
@@OlhaBatchvarov Yeah. Acetone is not a gel, but it sounds like it does the same thing. Just try not to breath it in too much-not good for the brain cells.
Its good your here once again :-) Tom I have seen you showing those conversion chart sheets. Like 1/64 and there is then the conversions when building to this scale. Where can i find these exact scale chart sheets. I want to build 1/24 and 1/32. It would be good to have these conversions sheets so that the math is already done. Thanks Tom. I am a new ship builder but I have been watching your youtube from the off...Thank you for sharing.
I do have a video that shows how to make your own charts in Excel, ruclips.net/video/7luJZ6RDG7s/видео.html If you don't or don't want to use Excel, contact me through my website: tjlauria.com/contact/ I'll write back.
Good to see your smiling face again! You know what L. Francis Herreshoff said about plywood: "If thee Almighty wanted plywood used in boat construction He would have created plytrees!' Be well my friend.
@@shipmodelguy If you were really a purist (I think we know a few of them!) you would have found the appropriate crotch material for so you did not have to use the plywood!
Nice to see you again, not because of the boat, because of you, the one who I and for sure many others learned a lot from.
Thank you, Omid. You guys really know how to make someone feel good. I'll try not to take such long breaks.
Wow ! Your Alive !!!

Welcome back. I was hoping you would find your way back.
It took a while to dig out from under the backlog of work, but I've carved out some time to devote to the videos. So, be careful what you wish for...
A piece of glass with a sandpaper is a very good idea!
...I already went to glue and try...

Hey Matthijs,
Glad to see you're still out there, too.
@@shipmodelguy I shared a link to some new boats made, but I think RUclips deleted the comment
@@DrTheRich I think you're right. You have my email address-just send them there.
