Seeing that so many people can still feel the energy that we experienced back then in our music shows a whole other side of people to me and how connected we all are. I called this era the getting lost era. We weren’t aware of real adulting, we still felt infinite in those years. Even with adulting. Something about those times always felt so alive and innocent. All the problems we are facing now were there in the early 2000's, the bubble hadn't burst yet and the younger generations didn't grow up fully to be honest. The very term "adulting" is a bad joke. It implies that you are only an adult on certain occasions, when you should be an adult 24/7. When the SHTF in the next few years Millenials and Zoomers are going to be totally screwed, as is everyone else. My grandparents and great grandparents had the metal to get through two world wars and the Great Depression. I am not to sure how the Xers- Zoomers are going to fair. I have to say this at least the Xers have a great work ethic.
I miss this whole era in music. It had a different energy. I really think it’s because people weren’t so depressed. This is the remnants of our societal peak in the 90s. It took a while to fizzle out but it’s gone now
