How about a go-faster unit. I watched a Lumber Capital Log Yard video today and recall several others of theirs long ago about bagging bundles. So, your machine has merit. But think of the time it takes to grab the film start AND pull out enough to being the wrap process. Now think of Scotch Tape dispensers, where there is a space to stick your finger, between the hub and the cutting edge. If your wrapper had a C shaped wire, attached at the 2 ends of the roll, You would cut the film on the outside of the C, leaving a foot between it and the roll itself. No 'grabbing a corner' and no unwinding the first foot of film, or at worse you pull a little. U can send a dime, or more, per machine in thanks. Mark on the envelope "Not a bill or collection notice." LOL. Good video. Loaning a machine to a YT client, such as LCLY, would gain exposure.
This is an interesting idea. My initial thought is to place the entire machine on a scale and zero out the scale while the machine is on it. Then place the readout somewhere easy to see. As you place wood into the firewood wrapper, the scale will display the weight increase. These type of scales start at around $165. Here is an option I found on google: www.vevor.com/shipping-scale-c_12045/digital-vet-livestock-scale-pet-veterinary-scale-stainless-platform-1100x0-2lbs-p_010327960777?adp=gmc&gclid=Cj0KCQjw4bipBhCyARIsAFsieCzN9F2mkRYI7U7ADRIwJhiPMfVgfBjV9zHVOtdoaMDrlwEZWyR2OOIaAuMoEALw_wcB I can not vouch for this brand name of scale, but I think this idea with the right scale will work. - Kevin Wieser

If it on.y had a scale feature with a digital read out,
To weigh the bundles.
That would be great
We make 14 pound bundles and 22 lb. Bags .
