Generation Z 1997 or after: Overwhelmed but eager, they declutter to protect their mental health. Bedrooms and basements are their battlegrounds, and they prefer to go it alone.
Generation X 1965 to 1980: They juggle feelings from excitement to tension. Their organizing mantra? A peaceful, clutter-free space. And they're the most likely to hire a Professional Organizer!
Born 1977 to 1983 Xennials: Peace of mind drives them. They focus on the garage and attic and prefer a solo decluttering session.
Millennials 1981 to 1996: Overwhelmed by clutter, they seek to soothe anxiety. They're the independent organizers, tackling spaces from the kitchen to the toy room.
Baby Boomers 1946 to 1964: From excitement to distress, they crave visually pleasing spaces. They're split on solo or assisted organizing, facing challenges in multiple areas.
A subset of Boomers Gen born 1955 to 1964 Generation Jones: Energized yet exasperated, they aim for serenity and often declutter solo. Their main struggle? The bedroom and basement.
Despite their differences, all generations share a goal: selling or donating to achieve a peaceful, functional home.
And yes, many would consider teaming up with a Professional Organizer.
Each generation brings its own flair to organizing, but the endgame is universal-a harmonious living space.
