One of the best eps of Otalia. Both Liv and Nat are putting their hearts out there, without really saying what they feel for each other. Both are crlying at the end of this ep. Liv, because she thought Nat was going to say something different after saying that maybe God has someone different in mind for me, not someone I expected. Nat is crying because Liv says maybe you should say yes. Great writing and great acting!! They say so much with their eyes. One of the best love stories ever written imo straight or gay.
Omg the moment when nat tells liv maybe god wants me to be with someone different n They look at each other it's priceless priceless love is in the air
let's take a moment to say "wicked awesome job" to orlagh cassidy for her on point portrayal of doris wolfe today. she sure put olivia in her place. she actually made me care about her and how hard her life has been for the first time.
For folks wondering how Nat could even consider Frank - she's not really debating Frank, she's realizing that the model of married happiness in her head is no longer computing. Her hesitation is in admitting that to herself. If this "perfect" (on paper) guy is the last thing she wants (and it is!) what's going on? She's just let go of a lifeline (her old idea of herself/life) and is afraid to reach across a grab hold of the new one (the one that works). The implications scare the crap out of her
Man, the way Natalia says "really?" at 5:18 is just LOADED with subtext. It seems like she was begging Olivia to step up and say something, ANYTHING!!!! All this angst is making me crazy!!! Great performances and writing though.
This is some of the best acting and script (including the silences) that I have ever seen on television. This SL has me just drawn in. Natalia is SOOO not going to end up with boring Frank.
i read somewhere on a fanfiction site someone called the otalia sl chocolate covered crack, i think it was dest, and i couldn't freakin' agree more! this is by far the best relationship i've seen on tv EVER. not even just day time. And while it's frickin' killing me to watch it this slowly it's so delicious and i'm glad the writers are taking their time. other wise it wouldn't be so wonderful. as always thanks for uploading otaliafan. pretty much makes me day to watch these clips.
Olivia must truly care about Natalia... so much that the thought of changing her is not acceptable in her mind because Olivia never backs down from a fight. When she wants someone she wreaks havoc before she'll give up. But she seemed like she was prepared to try to be happy for Natalia if she chose to marry Frank. That is unconditional love. I never thought I'd see the day Olivia would be capable of it. WOW.
Great insight rhyfeddu, This just adds to those longing looks Nat keeps giving Liv. GL is playing this up well. It's nice to fianlly fill like we have a decent storyline to follow. I'm really getting good with subtext now due to Carla & Stella, Maca & Esther, Pepa & Silvia and all the other stories around the world.
Thanks for keeping my dream alive. This is such sweet suspense. God, how many of us have gotten caught up in this kind of "don't ask, don't tell". I am so glad that I am OUT and transparent. lol
OMG, this scene, at the beginning on the porch, this is the scene CC refered to in her recent interview with JL (was it in SOD, can't remember)...when she was looking at Jessica leaning against the pillar, and the stars were out, and her hair was falling just so over her eye, lol, and she thought to herself ''I could easily fall into that!'' (insert Jessica's laughter at hearing this)...That interview made my day, week, month and year, LOL
This is one of the best episodes in the Otalia SL. The acting by all 3 actresses is so excellent. It's so sad all the missed opportunities for O and N to tell each other how they feel. But I think this is a turning point for Olivia. Natalia is actually ready to confront their feelings in the kitchen scene but I think O was freaked out by how D is hiding her lesbianism especially from her daughter. Up to this point O was trying to tell N how she felt but here after confronting D she backs off.
I think the point Doris is making when she asks Liv 'are you a.....', and Liv says nothing, is that it is hard to say, hard to be different. Liv can't say it yet she's criticising Doris for not being open. I think Doris makes an eloquent point.
Anyone else think GL pulls random musicians from the street and tells them to make a song that vaguely goes along with the scene? None of the songs they ever use seem to be real songs that are actually released.
Ajay7701, Finally someone else gets it. Everyone would get so angry at Liv. when that act of pushing Nat. to Frank was the most loving act of all. Loving someone enough to want what's best for them over your own needs. Funny Buzz asked Frank if he LOVEd Nat. enough to let her go. He never answered Liv did and showed it.
I reckon at 3:42 they are finally talking about the same thing, but then Nat realises she isn't ready for this and switches it back to Frank. Olivia then thinks that they weren't talking about the same thing at all and shuts down. These scenes ares so brilliantly written. WTF happened in Act 3 (post Nat getaway)? Why did the writers just fizzle out. This is such a great love story, but it could have been an epic.
True, Olivia may have Gus's heart but that heart is in a woman's body. So all the fears, confusion and uncertainty about this being a same-sex relationship still holds. Yet, on the other hand, there is an organic element to the way Olivia's feelings for Natalia has developed. No one sees Natalia the way Olivia does - an essentially strong woman who needs to be challenged. I'm not sure if even Gus saw her that way.
3:42 N: "well maybe God has someone for me, it's just not who I expected." who I expected??? gosh this is the episode of 1001 confessions, all for the same thing. so good.
Oh damn, you see CC's/Olivia's eyes, they give everything away, frackin' amazing-I almost teared up. I think that they were admitting what they want but beating around the bush, well they took the scenic route.
I loved the last scene between Olivia and Natalia. They are having two conversations at the same time. They are talking about Frank and his proposal, but they are also expressing their feelings toward each other. I watched that scene several times yesterday, and that's all I can think about. I can't wait to see what happens next....
3:50 i was just screaming 'TELL HER! TELL HER NOW!' I just read the Advocate interview and i can't wait for the storyline to progress. I know we all want them to declare their feelings for each other now but this story has been going since January 2008, i think we can wait a little longer! Because when it does happen, we want it to be perfect and not be messed about with Frank and a wedding and all that crap. It needs to be when they are both ready, because then it will be awesome!
Olivia usually gets the best one liners, but I think Doris had the best one in this clip "here you are on Ladies Night...hanging out'...great delivery of the line too :-)
Hi Backuzei, glad you like the line. I says somethings close to those lines with my last boyfriend when I told him would't marry him. He was like a Frank. p.s Luv Bad Girls. this was before the BG.
She so wants her to say something but is scared of regreting it! Nat's face when Liv pulls up in the car and she puts away the ring- guilt, confusion, love, lust, terror all in one. Brilliant.
i think liv's face at 1:00 is amazing. cc did a great job of this. i think it shows a realization from liv's perspective that what she's feeling isn't something to be ashamed of or hide from. but instead it's something that she should embrace because she realizes that nat really does make her happy and if she stops agonizing over why she feels it at least she can be okay with feeling it and still appreciate nat instead of taking all these feelings and having them turn into resentment...
Good line 68Jamaica. I heard that one by Helen on (Bad Girls). But still a good line. I agree with the bartender at times I think Liv should just run because. Nat's views on faith, sex and relationships do not seem to leave any opening for Liv's LOVE.
As much as I wish Nat said "she's"- I'm certain she said "IT'S JUST not who I expected." Though, we all know she meant SHE'S. The poor girl is head over heels for Liv. I'm patiently waiting for the day they both come clean!
Is it just me or is Nat a little pissed at Liv when she returns to the FoL! LOL. Liv says 'hi' - no reply - and that 'Where did you go?' - would be mad too if someone left me alone with The Furter. Naughty Liv. :0)
Yes, you're absolutely right!! I loved that show too. I said before that Crystal would have been perfect as the Helen Stewart Character when they were casting the US Version but I don't think that they are going to do it since there is going to be a Spin-Off or (One Off As The Brits) say of The L Word where Alice goes to Prison.
it's even more than that their mannerisms are in sync and they just flow together naturally.......it's like they instinctively know how to act around/with each other
I thought I would be the only one who recognized the similarity lol.....or that I was imagining it lol.......the writers are already doing a better job than most soap writers by having Olivia recognize that she does have feelings for Natalia.........I hope that it doesn't become unrequited though.......They are so perfect together.....ok so we may grumble about the story being slow but they really do act like a couple and it shows it and aside from Frank it's a really good story line
That is right because from then on when she does open up to olivia about loving her she tells everybody around her this was unexpected they way she feels for olivia like father ray, frank and rafe....GoOd LiNeS & TiMeS
I just love them together and how little by little this relationship is getting stronger. I wish they decide open up already..because their love will be tested by the Spaulding's.. and I know they can make it
I agree with you Valary740 Nat really wanted to hear something else but this needs to be Nat's decision. I think O could have told her to look into her heart and see if he is the right person for her or just a good man to have in her life now. Really Nat asked about O during Franks marriage converstion. That is soo messed up. Frank she is not into you man pull up! Pull up!
Does anyone know what song is playing in the background of the porch scene? I've woken up for two mornings with that little bit we hear stuck in my brain and I think I really need to hear the rest of it.
Ayay7701, You are so right again. I find it funny that the day before the picnic when Liv. spoke with Frank he said he didn't care that she was a woman but whether she was the right person for Nat. Guess he was not there when she got Nat.'s money back, put up Rafe's bail tried to get her to Frank. Was her maid of honor at his Wedding. Boy has memory problems.
ajay7701, Again soo right. I'm glad that at the very very end people stopped questioning if Liv. was good enough for Nat. Funny I think that talk with the nun help their relationship. Although they were planning for Nat and Frank's wedding Nat and Liv. spent time together and were getting even closer. Heck even Frank had to point out how much Liv had put into the party. This fact did not get by Buzz or Father Michael at all.
seriously when Natalia said Frank's a great guy he's everything anyone could ask for did anyone think of Helen and Nikki from the UK show Bad Girls in the last episode they were in. that's almost what Helen told Nikki
I think all of us want Olivia to be *much* more honest than she was. lol Hey, it's all about the suspense. It's like the writers want to see how long they can draw things out before giving us closure.
Bosyeux2 .... you are so right Frank BAD, Liv .. GOOD. Liv will stop the wedding and announce her love. Nat in the church will see the light and leave with Liv. After a long KISS. Sorry folks drifted off to dream land AGAIN!
Nat may break Olivia's heart, but I think in the long run, it will hurt Olivia even more if she never even gives it a try. Honestly If I were in Olivia's position, I think right after seeing Frank propose, having Nat not make a decision yet, that would give me more incentive to hurry up and throw my feelings out there. This is Olivia's window of opportunity. Now or never.
she is pregnant in real life. She talked about it during an advocate interview. That is why she is constantly holding pillows and wearing a big coat. Also watching the blocking of episodes. Some times other characters are holding things that block nat's stomach.
Wow!! did Natalia not see olivias face when frank was proposing? It was heartbreaking. Also, frank, if a woman takes too long to give you an answer, it means they don't want your sorry self, so stop pressuring her!! And yes, when natalia said something like "maybe God has someone for me and it's not who I expected", she looks at olivia as if saying, its you. Olivia really loves Nat, to be able to say marry him. Obviously nats "REally" is basically asking olivia do you want that?
Nat so wanted Liv to tell her not to go through with it!!!! And then Nat saying maybe God has someone in mind for her that she never would have expected!!!! She was sooo talking about Liv.
Yeah Doris really put it up to Olivia. Its rare to see Olivia speechless or without a comeback esp to someone like Doris! I see from the Advocate that Otalia get Doris back for her homophobic campaign speech.
Oh for God's sake! I'm going to have to move my dentist appointment up if this keeps up. I've never gritted my teeth this hard at anything before. Please Nat, I'm begging you. She's not going to make the first move. She tried that twice and got stomped on. You have to do it. Criminy!
Yes Limited being the word...It will be at least 3 more months before they "kiss" if this is like any other supercouple story line. Need at least 2 more "angsty" things before the payoff :(
I honestly don't think Nat would have even walked down the aisle with Frank if Olivia hadn't talked her into it. Or maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic. I wonder if this storyline would have had a kiss (or more) if the non-wedding had not happened. Although...that Nat confession in the GoL did do something to my heart. They should have kissed then. Yeah. They should have been kissing every chance they got after WoH. They had mutual confession. Oh, gawd...I'm obsessing. *faint*
amazing scene. how long do we have to wait for them to be on the same page? nat finally gets there and olivia takes a giant step backward. get it together girls, our hearts are breaking with ya.
ztami, Yes you are a hopeless romantic but I agree. If Liv's question was do you love him like a wife love's a husband we know the answer was NO. She said less than a week eariler that she slept with him although she did not LOVE him. Did you notice that the entire time up to the wedding day she would never say I LOVE you to Frank but would thank him for loving her so much. Clue Frank, maybe she's just not that into you.
I definitely think she was talking about Olivia when she said that, but since both aren't confident with liking each other that way and how they may look towards others, they are at a standstill. I don't think Olivia cares much anymore what people think of her. Nat just seems lost and confused. Olivia, stop trying to do what you think is right! Make yourself happy for a change.
Man, that babysitter must be really annoyed. She just left and then Natalia runs off to the church so I guessing she got called back?? LOL Anyone notice that Natalia said "I never let one PERSON be close to me" and that in a previous episode she told Olivia that there was a lot she didn't know about her.... hmmmm I wonder if she's had to resist this particular temptation before.
" I just don't like many of the articles oversansationalizing this story to the point it becomes a gay story rather than a love story. I'm afraid the publicity will make the writers go off course. " These writers seem to know exactly what they are doing. Saying that it could become "a gay story rather than a love story" is an unfortunate comment. The story is about two people falling in love, they just happen to be of the same sex. You can't divorce one from the other. And IF there was
Hi eriklovesoaps, i don't think the bartender has phobic of religion I think she just stating a fact. I grew up with religion going to Churh 3 times on Sunday. I took me a longer time to come out because of religion. I still have days I struggle. I enjoy our you comments
OOOO - Thanks for the news allison. I didn't know that. Gives me something to look forward to. Rainbow girl...Come back to the CBS board I miss talking to you and I haven't had time for AMC board lately
Not really...I do keep wondering how they are gonna be covering up the baby bump, when Liv leans in for the kiss...I mean...if they keep us waiting for another 3-4 weeks...that's quite an obstacle..them being of almost the same height and aehem, upperbody wise well endowed... I'll probably drop dead off my chair by then and won't notice nothing, but maybe they'll do the spiderman thingy or something to avoid kissing over the belly... (Hey, Doris could loan Liv her hat!)
Why can't she say "I want to be happy with you." I can't believe GL is doing this and I learn of it now!!! And they've cancelled the show. Good Lord I want to cry! They are so good together. The best I've seen. It's cruel to take this away.
But I don't see how the wedding can be soon coz of the proposed 'long engagement' and Frank saying that Rafe should be there etc. Hopefullly Emma disappearing tomorrow will bring Otalia together
You know @3:46 I really thought Nat said "Maybe God has someone for me, SHE's just not who I expected". Thought she was going to fly across the kitchen into Liv's arms. Alas not, she just ran 'its not' together. Her eyes said it all though!!!
There is NOTHING to be ashamed for being gay!! I’m not gay but who cares!! Embrace it! You love who you love!?!! You can tell she is so in love with Olivia because it killed her saying that
JUST is the word, though SHE`S would be the one to get. If they keep this up we could all be drawing our pensions. I will stick to my French love story, IT is so like the way things should be. UPS & DOWNS.
IT'S 2019 AND I STILL ENJOY WATCHING THESE VIDEOS. THANKS FOR POSTING.
One of the best eps of Otalia. Both Liv and Nat are putting their hearts out there, without really saying what they feel for each other. Both are crlying at the end of this ep. TILL THIS DAY, THIS STORY STILL TOUCHES MY HEART. #OTALIA ❤❤
Omg the moment when nat tells liv maybe god wants me to be with someone different n

I think CC looks prettier with less makeup. I love the softer look.
I wonder how many times Otalia says, “franks a good guy” throughout this story line?
"Maybe God has someone for me and it's just not who I expected." Olivia definitely wasn't who you expected Nat.
No truer words have been spoken.
Oh Olivia. For a moment there … oh my heart!
Hi Backuzei, glad you like the line. I says somethings close to those lines with my last boyfriend when I told him would't marry him.

It's a beautiful song.
Good line 68Jamaica. I heard that one by Helen on (Bad Girls). But still a good line.

They nail the last scene.

Thanks for posting these clips. I finally have caught up. I hope you continue to post.

Yes, you're absolutely right!! I loved that show too. Oh Doris! I was once "mayor to ALL the people," too, but I had to stop before I got a rash... ;)
God, everytime I watch this, I feel bad for Olivia. She is so obviously in love with Natalia that everyone can see it but Natalia. Either way,
it's even more than that their mannerisms are in sync and they just flow together naturally.......it's like they instinctively know how to act around/with each other
I bet you are right. Olivia did not tell Natalia about seeing Doris - so I bet she might help without Natalia knowing what she did for Rafe.

3:49 - my heart stopped beating I tell you!
I know I think I stopped breathing- the way Natalia looked at her- I don't think she's looked at her so honestly before. Or so searchingly!
Need at least 2 more "angsty" things before the payoff :(
great episode......omg......the foreplay is killing me ;)
I honestly don't think Nat would have even walked down the aisle with Frank if Olivia hadn't talked her into it.
Colors. It's by Joe Koenig.
I used to read a book before bed, now I read the comments here. Sadly it doesn't put me to sleep. sigh.
ztami,
Yes you are a hopeless romantic but I agree.
LOL!! I couldn't help but laugh. When he kissed her I just wanted her to run away as fast as she could. That was the worst kiss ever.
LOL, yeah. Wow just wow. That was just such a tense scene! My god. When is the next?! Friday?
I know...tsst...look round you Nat, who IS in your life right now, and fits perfectly?^^
Man, that babysitter must be really annoyed. She just left and then Natalia runs off to the church so I guessing she got called back?? LOL
Anyone notice that Natalia said "I never let one PERSON be close to me" and that in a previous episode she told Olivia that there was a lot she didn't know about her.... hmmmm I wonder if she's had to resist this particular temptation before.
And IF there was
anybody know the name of the song while Nat is in church?
Olivia called Jane and asked her to come over even though it was at the last minute. Jane's good people, at least she didn't complain.
I prefer Crystal in this shorter hair style. It makes her seem sassier, sexier, hipper, and younger looking.
It's like a string....and they are pulllng it out! GOD...I hope...it's going where...most of us...want it to go!
Seriously- one clip of Otalia is more exciting than the entire sixth season of the L Word!!!!!!!! (what was with all the walking!?!?)
does nat say " maybe god has someone for me and SHE'S not who i expected"?!!! i cant believe i've only just picked up on this!
Why can't she say "I want to be happy with you."
I can't believe GL is doing this and I learn of it now!!!
You can tell she is so in love with Olivia because it killed her saying that
I can barely tell who that is... the hat disguises her so much... is that Doris?! omg! I couldn't tell!
JUST is the word, though SHE`S would be the one to get. If they keep this up we could all be drawing our pensions. I will stick to my French love story, IT is so like the way things should be. UPS & DOWNS.
