She's about to die anyways from her injury. Knowing Shinji's mental condition there, misato probably knew that she'd die in the elevator anyways and it would make Shinji unable to move again after seeing misato die infront of him
I think I read somewhere that a lot of the stuff from this movie was the way it was because after the show blew up in popularity, and so many people wrote to the author requesting a fitting end to the unfinished TV series, and Rei was so incredibly popular. He got so annoyed and decided to do a F U to everyone, in particular to make Rei nightmare material, and somehow it turned into a masterpiece, but I can definitely see deliberate malice in this movie. That being sad, this can be complete bs. Maybe the script was like that from the beginning.
Ye the only thing we know for sure is that the last two episodes of the TV series turned out the way they did because the studio in question had run out of money/budget. I mean Im not sure how the TV series had ended if they had the budget but ultimately from Shinji's point of view things were the same, in TV show ending we simly saw what was going on in his head, what thoughts he was having and in movie we just see the same how messed up he is. But ye I think its quite possible Hideaki Anno did get annoyed by the fact that ppl got so invested in other parts of the story and characters but not about Shinji's struggle with his depression and mindset because it all refleced what Anno himself had gone through. But lets be honest, no one can truly understand that if one hasnt gone though that same s**t themselves
The first time I saw this scene, especially the one where she is torn in half by the explosion, my psyche, which was shaken after the psychology of episodes 25-26, moved, realizing that the characters who helped Shinji become a man without personal problems and fears. I have a question: how does the revival from the LCL sea work? Killed people can also come back to life if they become part of the LCL? Since all the killed workers (including Misato) were turned into LCL by the hands of Lilith.
Everyone just about dies here. I mean i see as eoe is the actual ending tbh. I mean it is since episode 25 and 26 is essentially instrumentality. Eoe just shows the actual event piece by piece
@@dcrkiysm Yui said that after instrumentality everyone that wants to come back, can do it. If your will is strong and you want it, you will. Before that she gained a new sense of confidence as she discovered that her mom was always with her, loving her.
It's so disgusting to say looking at Misato's trauma and how she didn't want to do it at all, but couldn't communicate properly, knowing only physical love

Me: wait if misato dies who takes care of pen pen-
*End of the movie happens*
Me: Oh.
Bro I just started watching the show today and this is how I find out how she dies💀💀💀
Add more jump cuts next time 😂
I cry so bad that Misato died 😭😭😭She's my favourite charecter!!! I don't believe how sad this is!!!!!😭😭😭😭☹
When you know, this whole movie was just a big FU by the creator to the inhappy fan base that couldn't let be.
So why didn’t she get in the elevator with Shinji?
She's about to die anyways from her injury.
Knowing Shinji's mental condition there, misato probably knew that she'd die in the elevator anyways and it would make Shinji unable to move again after seeing misato die infront of him
Because then she'd have had to "do the rest later"
Cuz she saw what happened in the hospital

DUDE I JUST WANTED TO FIND SCENES WHAT THE FUCK IS TBIS
yamagata watch this video:
This scene enough jumpscare me 💀
I think I read somewhere that a lot of the stuff from this movie was the way it was because after the show blew up in popularity, and so many people wrote to the author requesting a fitting end to the unfinished TV series, and Rei was so incredibly popular.
But lets be honest, no one can truly understand that if one hasnt gone though that same s**t themselves
im not crying y-you are 🥺
Saddest death
This clip is just Usagi giving Haruka a pep talk XD
That made me laugh out loud right after looking that up
I know everyone else down here is trying to explain the scene and things but ima be real here, I’m not the only one who thinks misato 👌
Damn, from Sailor Moon herself, to Juri Arisugawa and now to Misato Katsuragi.
Kotone Mitsuishi never fails to impress me. Phenomenal voice actress.
My favourite scene in the entire series

The more I think about this movie the more terrified I become
39:00 i wonder what that was shinji
Way sadder than 3.0+1.0
The first time I saw this scene, especially the one where she is torn in half by the explosion, my psyche, which was shaken after the psychology of episodes 25-26, moved, realizing that the characters who helped Shinji become a man without personal problems and fears. I have a question: how does the revival from the LCL sea work? Killed people can also come back to life if they become part of the LCL? Since all the killed workers (including Misato) were turned into LCL by the hands of Lilith.
Lucky Shinjiiiiiiii!!!!
Бедни
Literalmente le dio un beso a shinji en la boca o sea es menor de edad
Acusela con la policia entonces y metala presa... payaso
I think she is not dead
Everyone just about dies here. I mean i see as eoe is the actual ending tbh. I mean it is since episode 25 and 26 is essentially instrumentality. Eoe just shows the actual event piece by piece
she was literally blown in half bro
She is, everyone besides Asuka and Shinji die in EoE.
You can see her getting bisected by the explosion in 0.25 speed.
@@dcrkiysm Yui said that after instrumentality everyone that wants to come back, can do it. If your will is strong and you want it, you will. That's why you see Asuka coming back first, through the series she showed a strong will to live, especially in her last moments. Before that she gained a new sense of confidence as she discovered that her mom was always with her, loving her.
WHY WOULD YOU EDIT OUT THE SILENT PARTS YOU PHILISTINE SGGDDSSSFGHGFDSAAAAAAAAAASFFFFFFFFFGCCCCCCCKKKKKKK
I want to be groom by Mommy Misato.
It's so disgusting to say looking at Misato's trauma and how she didn't want to do it at all, but couldn't communicate properly, knowing only physical love
