Please, please! Do this again when you have an HD truck with an 8 foot bed around. I think a 1 ton dually may even shrug at the weight in the bed. If it could be secured safely into the bed it would be hilarious to take it around the block and catch the reactions of onlookers. Also really love the Fiat's appearances on the channel, I can't believe it weighs even less than my classic Mini does! (1,200 to 1,500 lbs depending on options/year) I guess it makes sense since the Mini has slightly more interior space and larger engine choices.
A good idea when loading something like that is put a piece of 3/4” plywood on the floor of the bed all the way back to the edge of the tailgate. And I made small chains with turnbuckles and put them next to the tailgate strap and tighten them just enough to take the tension off the cable. That way the plywood disperses the load better and the turnbuckles save the cables. I do this when transporting a full dress Harley.
I'm loving the Stubbz videos way more than the loaded up luxury trucks the manufacturers always send you! Not sure if it's even available in that configuration, but a hemi with a 3.92 rear axle and the 8 speed trans would have been an insanely cool little truck
this was fun to watch but im gonna say you were really really lucky, those cables that hold the tailgate arent meant to hold that much weight. its not the cable strength its what they are held in by so your car was supported by two1/2 inch bolts......
Back in the early 80’s I’m not sure if any one had a ideal about how much weight you could put in the bed or tow, you just hoped back then you didn’t break something, never once heard anyone talk about limits back then.
I have seen some Fiat 500 and Fiat 126 loaded to large panel vans like the Iveco Daily or Mercedes Sprinter. Worth a try, as both were (are) sold in the US with different badges.
I once had a Isuzu Pup with the 2.2 "the best I can remember" diesel & a automatic transmission that would not do 60 mph, 55 was all I could squeeze from it.
I’ve put a utility quad in the box of my Tacoma. It just fits! But that’s crazy! Lol. I’m sure as you said it will be good in the big dodge heavy duty. 👍
You should of reversed it in, to put the engine weight in the center and off the gate. Also R would probably go easier as it should be stronger than first gear.
I'm impressed with the strength of those tailgate cables, and thinking along a bit further, it would be interesting too to have the FIAT weighed at front axle, rear axel. I'd like to know then, how much actual weight was on that tailgate.
The split tailgate Ram sells on the new version is rated at 2,000 lbs. they aren’t like the tailgates in the past!! I dropped a drum of gear oil on the tailgate of a late 70s Chevrolet 1500 and the tailgate folded! 😂😂😂. I have done similar with a 2019 F150 and there was a small dent on the metal, but the tailgate stayed straight!!
Definitely do the Ike using a truck with an 8 foot bed, but don't use a DWR, use a 3/4 ton or a 1/2 ton with max payload package. I wonder what the CSP would do if they saw that go by 🤣
Meh. I had 3800 pounds in the bed of my F150. A pallet of 25 24x30 patio stones (110lb each) 20- 50lb bags of crush down Drove almost 80km home on the highway. Honestly other then the blocks shifting on the pallet slightly when braking, It didn't feel that bad. And yes, Home depot loaded it. I didn't even think of how much those patio blocks weighed until I got home and was like wow that stupid. Lol
just little squat she can still make it lol ... but surprisingly these can take a beating, although I think a 2500 might be tad better ride in this case lol 😆😅🤣
Dually one ton pick up would handle the Fiat like a roll back wrecker would! Without a sweat up the Ike! How about doing this test with an F 150 with the 8 fl bed up the Ike!
It's not the Fiat 500 that it's a tiny car, but the Ram and all those uselessly gigantic mastodons that are the opposite. «Is it a real car?» Absolutely, it is the mastodon that is not. Hence the surprise that the 500 is actually comfortable.
The most afforadable full sized, new truck in the USA anyone can get. In this brave new economy known for kicking the low to middle class worker right beteween the legs world.

I think you should have backed it in so that the weight of the engine would be closer to the rear axel and not on the tailgate.
If the wheels will fit. It looks like the rear overhang is longer.

When you guys are together it looks like you're always having fun. Great video
Yes - this was a ton of fun!
Andre the younger generation is always trying to stick things where they don’t belong. Great videography Casey
Not Casey.
@@7cougar0 - right,, it’s “Kase”.
Didn’t older folks used to stuff themselves into phone booths and put Volkswagen Beatles in stairwells.
It sounded like it was Roman on the video camera unless Tommy is calling Kase “dad” now. 😉
@@jamesbeaman6337 You can even see Roman in the video.
Well, you need somewhere to put it when it breaks down. Putting it into a Fiat truck may not be the best idea lol. Fun episode.
LOL. Pointless test, but still entertaining and funny. I love it. LOL. And I was really worried about those tailgate cables. Be safe!

Fun times! I was a little worried about the tailgate cables but they held.
Probably should back the car in, so most of the weight is a bit more centered lol. But excellent work! I love it
The wheels wouldn’t have fit on the tailgate backed in!!
I thought the tailgate would break. Great video

This made me so nervous for you guys. You have the heaviest part of the 500 sitting on the tailgate. I was waiting for the tailgate to snap off.
That was awesome..kudos to Tommy for driving that car on and off the ramp with ease
I've seen these hauled inside a RAM Promaster 3500, no problem. The RAM pickup just can't hold the weight and isn't as long as that of the cargo van.
you guys should totally get a used longbed truck and try the test again, take it to public and see people's reactions
The current gen Silverado/Sierra bed is wide enough to load that little Red coupe in it.
Perfect video!
Tommy then Andrea and Roman BEHIND the camera! Hahaha.
Cracking video chaps. Made my day.
Do it again with an 8 footer for sure
I haul mine in my long bed all the time, it’s how I take it to car shows a lot of time.
Nice video. I had a 1979 Honda Civic CVCC. It would fit in 8 foot bed. Love these little cars
Back in the early 80’s I’m not sure if any one had a ideal about how much weight you could put in the bed or tow, you just hoped back then you didn’t break something, never once heard anyone talk about limits back then.
I haul my Fiat in the back of my f350 all the time. It’s how I take it to shows usually.
This is def my kinda stupidity.. I love it!! You guys are doing the things I would to do. Lol
I love how excited he is😂
Tommy , Andre 👏......HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY EVERYONE ✌️
I have seen some Fiat 500 and Fiat 126 loaded to large panel vans like the Iveco Daily or Mercedes Sprinter. Worth a try, as both were (are) sold in the US with different badges.
A Fiat on a Ram aka Fiat! Phenomenal!

You guys should have David's K2500 8' bed. Clown car would have fit perfect.
You should of reversed it in, to put the engine weight in the center and off the gate. Also R would probably go easier as it should be stronger than first gear.
The baby fiat 500 is a star of the channel!
My Dad used to throw our 500 in the Dodge ram 1500. We had to add air bags(bilos) and worked great
Haha, great video guys! Cheers Kirk
This is too funny. Get a truck with a long bed and drive around with it 🤣🤣
I feel like this would work a lot better in your Cummins powered Ram since it would actually be long enough to fit.
I'm impressed with the strength of those tailgate cables, and thinking along a bit further, it would be interesting too to have the FIAT weighed at front axle, rear axel.
I'd like to know then, how much actual weight was on that tailgate.

@@shitloveaduck That's interesting, but remember, my question(s) primarily, are related to the strength and durability of the cables.
@@regsparkes6507 if they rate the tailgate for 2,000 lbs that includes the cables.
Prefect music.🤣🤣
Go up the ike hauling the ram 2500 on the trailer with the fiat in the bed
Definitely want to see the dually Ike with the Fiat in the bed, just put it in backwards so it’s not putting the weight behind the truck’s axle
The music made the video, kind of silly but entertaining
I wonder with helper bags installed and 2x8s cut to length of the bed to help keep the weight off the tailgate
Definitely do the Ike using a truck with an 8 foot bed, but don't use a DWR, use a 3/4 ton or a 1/2 ton with max payload package. I wonder what the CSP would do if they saw that go by 🤣
I'm impressed by the ramps.
OSHA approved!
Tommy makes the channel!!!
That was a fun video to watch however, I would like to see the guys do it again backing it in next time.
hahaha
get an 8’ bed and you’re good! hahaha 🎉🎉🎉
Yes Ike the fiat, if only for TikTok/shorts haha 😅
These guys are having too much fun.
try a LWB truck next time and then you could close the tailgate haha
It won’t close but you can get up at a little angle but the wheels fit completely in the bed but barely. I haul mine in my long bed all the time.
There would have been less squat if they reversed it on. The engine being the heaviest part of the car, was hanging out over the tailgate.
Those are some nice ramps.
Hell yes on doing the Ike in a dually loaded with the Fiat!
I have hauled Volkswagen bug in the back of a 78 Ford F250, no problem.
I knew the tailgate would hold since my Ford Maverick can hold 500 lbs. I’d imagine a full size truck can do the same or more.
Great video.
Awesome screenshot
If it had long leaf springs it will still be okay on comfort but also have more payload
Meh. I had 3800 pounds in the bed of my F150.

Ha! That was art.
Right on Tommy. It would have been better to had it loaded in reverse. Great video nonetheless.
I love the channels!!!
FIAT...FITS IN A TRUCK 🚚
I didnt know i needed to know this, but turns out i did in fact need to know.
Would you please review a RAM MEGA CAB pick up. I think RAM MEGA CAB trucks are fairly hard to find thanks.
I did not even know that Stella this is still making the previous generation RAM
Please do it with it backed in to see if the weight is better placed!
I would love to see an HD truck with this in the back doing an Ike.
This was great video I never expected lol 😂.
Nice Tommy
Back in the day we had a Suzuki Samurai in the back of an F350.
Take it up the Ike (the Fiat itself and loaded in the truck..).
Do some decent burnouts, donuts, powerslides and driftings, please!
just little squat she can still make it lol ... but surprisingly these can take a beating, although I think a 2500 might be tad better ride in this case lol 😆😅🤣
There is not the shortest pick up ram makes box which is 5 foot something so about half a foot shorter, if not a little more.
This is really great
the 2004 cummins would eat this thing up in the back then you could go like 80-100 and have the worlds fastest fiat 500
The World's Fastest Fiat 500 is a lot faster than any 2004 Cummins....
How can you not love Andre??
I wouldn’t mind one of those little cruisers
It would fit my 1961 Vw bus truck.
I need a Fiat for my F350, smooth out the ride lol!
It does help lol I hauled mine in my f350 12hrs straight at 85mph
It's a 4 Wheeler you load in a bed or a truck
What size engine is in the stubby???
Try it with the fiat loaded backwards, and take it for a 100 mile round trip
Dually one ton pick up would handle the Fiat like a roll back wrecker would! Without a sweat up the Ike! How about doing this test with an F 150 with the 8 fl bed up the Ike!
Anyone else thinking Keystone Cops while watching this video...😁
Just a fun little video😂(Pun intended)
Why they did not reverse it?
Front is 2x lighter than rear.
That's Tommy, even next to your slender frame that car looks like a toy
Tailgate cables can hold a couple tons each.
Definitely not. They're strong but nowhere near that strength. The bolts can break, especially with rust.
He driving a red version of luigi from cars into a ram lol
Always saw these cars as being pretty small... Ya don't say!
It's not the Fiat 500 that it's a tiny car, but the Ram and all those uselessly gigantic mastodons that are the opposite. «Is it a real car?» Absolutely, it is the mastodon that is not. Hence the surprise that the 500 is actually comfortable.

While the Ram is a Fiat as well, it’s still the best chance to make it to the destination with the 500 😂
2022 RAM.. I was thinking it was a 2012!
Isn't the tailgate detachable? It should be
U can load it but can you drive it loaded 😆 🤣. Least a 20 Mile round trip
