Good interesting video thanks , does quail put weight on more than mice or chick if all weighed the same .i was wondering if some foods will increase the birds weight more rapidly so you choose different meats for different reasons. Or is it best to mix meats. . This may be a strange question but I’m learning what I can before I pick up the bird next year. Your videos have been very helpful and there’s still some I have not seen so this question may of already been asked.
We have not been asked that yet! That is a really great question, you are absolutely right in that different meats are not the same in terms of energy, weight, and how it will effect your feathered one. We will definitely make an episode on this! :) - Leah

Right?! Sometimes Halo is a little koo-koo! Manning times really depends on the individual bird/human and to what result you are looking for. We prefer to give each Companion allowance to progress in their timeframe, looking long term this has been very successful for us. For example, Pfeiffer has taken longer than normal to progress with us, but other Companions have jumped straight into work less than a couple weeks into their time with us. It takes 4 weeks or more depending on the level of training you want
