Sempena Tahun Baharu Cina, kami paparkan cerita gaya filem Hong Kong dengan kisah sebuah komuniti yang menyelamatkan rumah mereka daripada dirobohkan.

After a year-long festive series, come with us on a new journey with short stories of various genres for 2023’s festive seasons, themed “Roots of Our Future”.
This Chinese New Year, we are kicking off with a Hong Kong film-styled story about a close-knit community on a quest to save their home for generations from being demolished.

Every year’s festive ads are always the same message but what makes Petronas ads different is their way of playing along with the storyline. I love how they adding the scene about their ancestor. It’s funny and entertaining😂
I like how their topic is following the current situation. Like the dude who doesn’t want to lose his job, I can totally relate to his situation. The way every character speak good cantonese and chinese. You can see that they put a lot of effort in crafting good storyline, all characters are great in acting and none of them are boring. Try observe their expression when one of them are speaking😂

Maybe Petronas wanted to celebrate Malaysian born chinese which has chinese roots in Malaysia. What's important is this video celebrating good heart. Gong xi fa cai!

@@azurahashimkamal9178 I mean the there is a problem with the hairstyles, why there's a grey shirt guy with Ming dynasty hairstyle and the the yellow shirt guy with Qing dynasty hairstyle and Minguo period attire, and most of the hairstyles and attire are not historical accurate, that's why I say they should seek advice from those Chinese educated people which can be found easily among Malaysian Chinese school before they film this cultural misleaded advertisment.
