The problem with the colored buttons in your render is that the joycons used alone would have the button colors in the incorrect spots. [Single joycons are used on their sides with the flat end facing up giving your index fingers access to the shoulder buttons in the rail] When you say "press red" for one player that would be the Northern button [traditional X button] and for the other player, it would be the Southern button [traditional B button]
That’s the point. The games would say Press “image of a red circle” for example so you’d just press the corresponding color instead of worrying about the letter or symbol
@@IceBlueLugia Yes, but the coloring in his model is incorrect. Imagine you turn those JoyCons to their side, like on current ones (stick has to be under left thumb). On right JoyCon, going clockwise, starting from top button, you'd have: green - blue - red - yellow. On left JoyCon, starting from top and going clockwise, you'd have: red - yellow - green - blue. Quite a different layout and would mean, when game tells you the button's color, half of people would press different buttons than the other half
@@goSciuKM True, it’d create confusion in some situations. And some games would be harder to play. For example, if on the right joycon, when playing Mario, yellow (left) is run and red (down) is jump, if you kept the assignments the same then the left player would be hitting the top and right buttons instead What might work better is just rotating the colors so they match when sideways but are mismatched when displayed normally. Or maybe, they could have it so that the color assignments are displayed next to each player so they could be different without issue. Though that may just be clunky and overcomplicated if someone was trying to pass a joycon to someone new. I think accepting the color mismatch (or going with 4 different colors on the left) is the best move tbh
They could always do a controller with LED/RGB buttons, so that when it’s in joy con mode instead of handheld, the colors would switch to the how it’s supposed to be. Plus the RGB buttons could be affected by different games, but that might be asking too much of Nintendo lol my original suggestion would’ve been oh just switch the joystick placement with the dpad so it can be turned the same way, but then I forgot about the bumpers lol

@NexusNavigator1If that's the case, it's an easy decision not to buy it. I'll stick to the Steam Deck, and eventually other Steam OS handhelds once they get more and more powerful. The biggest issue Nintendo will face in bringing up the graphics would be cooling and heat. Simple, they could vastly increase the power of the Switch if it had an intensive cooling system directly on the CPU. The dock provides a PERFECT opportunity for Nintendo to address this issue. I wonder if they'll ever think of the Dock as being the graphics side of the system, while the device itself is still portable.

7:57 Okay, so what happens when I want to play my Super Switch from docked to handheld, and my game cartridge is inserted in the dock? I think that's a bad design idea.
DLSS 2.0 can only be added by the developers themselves and wouldn't be compatible with older switch games (unless specifically added in/updated for switch 2). It requires motion vectors to help the AI anticipate what will be in the following frames and prevent really brutal latency issues.
I’d assume older switch games would get a minor bump from the processing power increase (better framerates, 1080p) Then there would be a lot of double dipping from developers rereleasing their titles with 4k, dlss, ray tracing and a little extra content for full price. Maybe if we’re lucky we can get these games at a discount if you purchased the OG Switch copy already.
How easy or hard would it be to add those to older games? Ergo, would it be reasonable to assume, Nintendo might add it to games produced in-house like BotW? I assume TotK would definitely support it, as it was a late release and they likely made it with upcoming technology in mind.
@@NeunEinserdepends on the game, if it already had taa its pretty easy to add in dlss. If it doesn't, than it's going to take a reworking of the game engine. But it's kind of pointless, a 3 tflop machine @ 1ghz, isn't going to have trouble getting switch games, a 0.4 tflop machine, up to stable 1080p.
I think they have already worked on the design and ideas. Maybe if this video was released 2-3 years back then it would have a great impact. But you never know what will they do since they are from Japan.
They have a dock like that that ppl make, it and you can go through the games in the dock without having to change em. Dammit Jeff talks about it in the mig switch video.
Hey I don't know if you've gotten this complement before, but this is really high quality content man! I clicked on this video not expecting much and was surprised with a well edited and well researched video. Didn't even notice the sub count too! You deserve way more subs man, keep up the good work!
at 3:39 you have the bit where you talk about the colors being used for the detatched joycons instead of button names. But the problem with this is that in the render you've shown, the button orientation on the left joycon is completely different from the colors of the right joycon in the detached horizontal orientation. So in your example the "Press Red" on this mock up would press the Right D-Pad button in the "X" position Horizontally on the left joycon, and the A button in the "B" position horizontally for the Right joycon.
yeah iirc nintendo has done that where if you use the sideways controller orientation any UI would change to be the right arrow as opposed to A, so im guessing they can do something similar
The switch using the X1 was leaked by eurogamer, along with the hybrid form factor and was 100% accurate. We had this moment last year (I guess 2 years now) when Lapsu$ released the switch 2 hardware Info in the 11 TB dump ransom attack on Nvidia. After eurogamer did that a bunch of hacks made up a bunch of dumb rumors like it was pascal, or the x2 instead. We've already had this for switch 2 as well, as a bunch of hacks have made up all kinds of nonsense like a switch pro while we had from nvidia (well, stolen from.nvidia) the receipts showing they were completely full of poop.... even as they were doing it.
The thing I would be looking forward to is possibly a big screen on all variants (not just the OLED like they have right now), maybe improved accessibility features (I use the magnifier a ton, and what would be nice is a way to switch on higher contrast to make things easier to see, especially anything😊 grey on grey).
The IR scanner can be improved by moving it upward somewhere on the controller near the L and R buttons and having another IR built on the top bezel of the switch 2 so it points directly at it when playing games, this would help so many games properly replicate the wii motion controls, the reason why many games don’t have proper motion is because they rely on the Gyro motion and not actual IR like the wii
I heard theyre making two launch models, The First is a full digital (with LCD as mentioned) and the other will have increased storage, bigger screen etc and will feature an OLED screen.
please explain to me why they would release a device with an IPS LCD screen in 2024? how does that in any way make sense? also digital consoles are disgusting and they wont release that as their only console their sales would drop into the fucking toilet bruh people hate that because YOU DONT OWN THE GAMES ur just licensing them
Thank you so much! I appreciate the support, and I’m so glad you liked it! Yeah I tried to filter out all of the baseless claims and give a somewhat realistic approach. It seems the rumours that keep being repeated and corroborated are most credible, along with the ones from people with good track records. Only time will tell, and thanks again for the Super Thanks!
What if the dock looked like a home console and you plugged the tablet in like a cartridge? Like the front loading NES. I have no practical excuses for it, it would just look and feel so nice.
@@kirikatsu3 I think it's be cool if they replaced the normal capability of the dock with the wireless dock, and instead make the dock be able to acutally run the games, like the NES and SNES. It'd be more of a tribute with the name and button colors. They could even make bigger cartridges for games like the N64, NES, and SNES cartridges.
I've seen one or two other videos on 'what if' scenarios, but this one is the most exciting so far. Loving the ideas. Could see it work. Although I think maybe it will have less features than you've listed - I'm not so sure about themes coming back for example. I would buy this Super Switch in a heartbeat :D
I’ve been calling switch 2 “Super Nintendo Switch” in my mind all this time too bro and it made my brain feel so good when you decided to call it that too 😭😭😭 it totally works with Nintendo’s branding and would just sound so badass for the console they’re trying to push to compete again with the other big names like Sony and Microsoft’s consoles
The wireless dock one is pretty good for an idea but if it’s the case the console itself would let you get more than 1 cartridge slot instead of the actual dock and it would let you play miitopia or tomodachi life just like it was in the 3DS era if it had the double screen feature
this video is really good. i didn't notice the button color thing before, but now you've got me convinced we're getting a "super switch" 😭 and i LOVE the idea of DS games using a wii-u like infrastructure for touch screen. i'm actually gonna be sad if this isnt implemented somehow, this video's got me all hopeful
I love that with the Switch Dock it took like NO TIME for third parties to sell conversion kits for the docks, of which I bought, that literally cut the dock by over half the size, used the logic board, looked nice, had an open back so the switch wasn't choked for air, and worked well. Also didn't have to worry about bricking your switch with a USB C dongle dock.
At 01:38 you say 'They could run a game at low resolution, and use AI to upscale it to 1080p, which would increase the battery life and performance'. I find that hard to believe since AI upscaling, epsecially at that speed (you don't want lag) will take up more energy compared to standard upscaling since AI looks at every single frame, interprets it and rerenders it. Doing that in a couple of microseconds is possible, but it would take a lare amount of energy.
Speculation after playing around with original Wii Classic controller (no grip) ZL and ZR are still digital triggers but the L and R buttons are analog. People tend to chase patents for the basis of rumors and one patent of having mouse-like scroll wheels for shoulder buttons would be doable but I think Nintendo would like have flatter ZR/ZL to fit a battery that flushes well internally.
This was so gosh darn entertaining.! Plus your mock up is gorgeous. I wonder what its like to be a product designer for Nintendo anyway. Career goals lol
Does anyone remember when the Xbox one first came out, you could watch RUclips and play a game at the same time. I wish that feature was never removed , I want to see Nintendo do that type of feature.
The dock could have a disk slot for games that require the extra power and take up too much space for a cartridge, could also be used for media and maybe installing older titles
This new console concept looks amazing! I hope they go with this design that you chose because I’m a fan of the SNES button colors and even the GameCube purple color scheme would look great as well
6:13 Well, not _that_ good. You missed an exciting possibility of putting speakers in each controller. By pairing them each with a microphone, the speakers can emit sound outside the range of human hearing which is in turn detected by the microphone after it reflects off of surfaces, similar to how bats echo locate. This could be used in a similar way to the IR sensor, yet performs much better, with greater possibilities.
But the Wii U was a really good concept. You people just don’t understand. I don’t know why the Wii U gets so much unnecessary hate, it’s a really underrated console and plays Wii games too but using the Wii U’s hardware to play them faster, hell the Gamepad has a fucking IR Sensor for the Wii Remote. Plus, the Wii U has a really good library (-2 games). I understand it sold poorly but I’ve made it my mission to spread the good word of the Wii U. The Wii U didn’t fail, Nintendo failed the Wii U because of the marketing.
I'm still missing the hall effect joysticks, more comfortable switch controllers and wireless charging dock. Or would they include that in the next generation?
I would love if they included a pen again along with the revival of FlipNote Studio or something else that warrants a stylus because personally loved to draw on the screen (just to add to that Nintendo DS inspired idea you mentioned 8:29 )
I hope DLSS for the switch is different than it normally is because if anyone has actually used Nvidia DLSS in-game it looks grainy and pretty awful. I also imagine the Switch 2 is gonna be siginificantly thicker too.
Man, this video is so well done. It really captures everything I find exciting about video games in one video :) You should definitely make some vague but interesting series about little known video game stories.
Nintendo also filed a patent a while ago for a portable device with dual screens (just like the DS) where you can detach one screen for multiplayer purposes. There’s also patents that describe even a third console. This one is a full tv console with advanced 3D features. You can literally dodge bullets.
Wow I had that exact wireless dock idea! But hear me out, what if the included joy con grip could fit your phone in between the joycon?! Your phone could act as the second screen and recieve video from the switch through an app, which would circumvent the battery problems you mentioned it would have. I think it could work because what would be put on your phone would be non-essential, an in-game map or social features like you said, but nothing that can't be acessed without it, aside from ds games or maybe some games in mario party or something like that. This just seems like such a good addition to me because it provides another mode of play that's mostly unintrusive, true to the name "switch."
I think the early 2024 release date may unfortunately change due to the geopolitical landscape shifting violently in the coming weeks. These conflicts will inevitably impact supply chains for electronic components and resources. Something to keep in mind as things are getting very serious in the Middle East/Asia regions.
why would the middle east impact on supply chains for electronic components? they don’t have nor produce anything valuable to those components. in asia tensions aren’t as high, the only one being kind of with north korea and south korea, but we all know that the north loves to taunt the south and the west
@@LUN4RA Because components still need to be transported, and the most common form of transport is via cargo ships. With the Red Sea essentially a no-go zone as of late, that means cargo can't go thhrough the Suez canal and must instead take the long way around Africa. This will cause significant delays for the shipping of components between Asia and Europe.
Excellent video! I agree with all of your points made for the new docking system too! One thing I would like to see with the new docking system is being able to carry all the cables like the AC power adapter, HDMI cord etc. all inside itself. It’s kind of a pain in the ass when you want to travel and have to have all these cords tangling up in a bag with the dock 😅
And it will still have: Horrible payed online No voice chat Joycon drift No home screen themes Faulty dock Absurd prices for games And the list goes on...
Apple makes (well uses) some of the best LCDs in the market but u can’t compete against OLED especially at night. During the day or if there is some light around u don’t really notice a difference but night imo nothing looks better than OLED and I love playing my games on my Switch OLED.
@@EndoRUclips If you think OLED is too expensive then forget about MiniLED. There is no supplier in the world that can produce that many MiniLED panels to what Nintendo requires. Again I hate to fall back on Apple but they only use MiniLED in their “Pro” devices and not all of them cause they supply is not there and the cost is too much. IMO MiniLED is brighter than OLED but I feel like would consume more power as well so lot that great for a smaller handheld were efficiency matters more than peak brightness. Right now for Nintendo the only way is to go OLED or LCD and even the best LCDs can’t give the contrast of OLED by design. Like for me I did not even consider getting a SteamDeck cause I got used to OLED but since they came out with one I tried it but it’s too big for me. I like your idea of having 2 new switches and I have the SNS XL is just not too big it’s uncomfortable to hold, I sorta miss the pocket ability of the old 3DS systems just my opinion again.
Bro the reason why the switch has buttons as a d-pad and not because if they wanted to keep it split it's because if you put it sideways it will basically be the abxy buttons
What To Expect From The Nintendo Switch 2 ? Let me guess... Not much and a lack of new fresh game and variety? No kidding but the first Nintendo Switch exist since 6 years ago and since 6 years we doesn't get any new game or remastered about Star Fox and Kid Icarus, we just get 2 Metroid games and without any life sound from Metroid Prime 4 which have been announced there was 6 years ago with somes official informations who come from Nintendo mouth and not from somes rumour or leak like if they officially confirm a online mode for somes deathmatch between players or a co-op mode for the main story, just one SNES Rom Hack port to the Switch about F-Zero with 99 players instead be a 3D new game or a 3D remastered like if the Switch was too weak for create a 3D game for F-Zero, one new Pikmin game while the 3 others was port and the Mario Kart fan and Donkey Kong fan never get any new fresh game who doesn't smell the almost 10 years ago "Wii U" port or the GBA remake of Mario Vs Donkey Kong to the Switch. And meanwhile we get a lot of grab money game release every years with more than 10 Pokemon games, 5 Fire Emblem games and 6 Kirby games on the Switch since 6 years while a part of the Mario game on the Switch was somes old Wii U, 3DS, Wii, GCN and N64 port and sold to a hight price like if those game never exist before like Super Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy from 3D All-Stars despite we know their story like Paper Mario TTYD who gonna be release this years when we know Peach is possessed by the Shadow Queen at the end of the game as the final boss or the two endings for Mario vs Donkey Kong or Luigi finally realize in the final mansion from Luigi's Mansion 2 that King Boo have captured Mario in a paint again. So too bad the new Nintendo without Iwata just care about Mario, Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Kirby while they don't really care about their others serie. I don't understand why people feel so excited for this console who gonna have a poor choice of game variety. Plus what the point to buy their next console exactly? Just for have the best graphic on a next gen console but you get in exchange a lot of old game port from the previous console that you have already played before but on a modern console and the same grab money game to be release every years while Nintendo don't gonna do anything for their others serie? For real who gonna be so d*mb like a f*ck for buy this jokes just for mainly play the same grab money game and somes old game port seriously?
Buying the Switch made me addicted to handheld gaming exclusively. But after buying the Steam Deck, I can't go back to the prices Nintendo charges for games. I bought the Batman trilogy for $8 the other day.
I know the prices of Nintendo games will probably go up but as a Canadian we spend 80 dollars just for a game. Soon it might be even 100. My hopes for the new console which are very unlikely but could boost sales of games is for big Nintendo games to be 65-70 dollars and remakes 50 and smaller games 35-45. I know it’s unrealistic but it’s really crazy to me that a remake would cost the same as a big game. I remember the days where you could buy Wii games for like 20 bucks. It’s just my idea but I think lots of people would appreciate lowered and varied prices but with the way things are going it looks like their only going to increase:(
You're basing this on Nintendo using logic to improve their products, which they've never done. So don't be surprised when they come out with something that's completely opposite to everything you mentioned.
Facts you right look at the history for every console they created. The successor may look differently with a few features,More powerful but not that powerful than the last console
Some of the suggestions here are illogical like the one with a cartridge slot in the dock. How would that work? I think Nintendo is very logical when they improve their products you missed the point about winding Nintendo does things they do with their products.
@@Adamtendo_player_1 Nintendo sticking with cartridges for N64, using small disks for GC, so it holds less, failing to go HD with the Wii when all other consoles were doing it, using 3D screens for the 3DS, I could go and on. Nintendo constantly does things that don't make any sense.
The Switch was first shown in like Ocotber of 2016, about 5 months before launch. A January reveal would put it launching around May. I think it's more likely we get a tease soon, an in depth reveal in a few months, and a launch in Autumn
i came into this video having an idea of what i wanted in a switch 2 but damn all the features and ideas in this video were amazing i didn’t even know i wanted half of these features until they were mentioned. great video!
I prefer Odin 4 or 5, that will emulate Switch-Games with ease or a new steamdeck... Apart from a new Mariokart, Metroid or Zelda, that will be basically the same like the old Games, there is no reason to buy a Switch 2... Nintendo is boring and expensive... Zero Innovation for many years....
Super Excellent video! You should be a video-electronics engineer. Every upgrade you mentioned was pure gold, they'd be stupid NOT to make them. The one thing Nintendo's latest hardware is not is prohibitively expensive unlike Xbox and Sony. The Steamdeck, I just bought one - new "old" stock (not the OLED) on sale, and it's still almost twice as expensive as the Switch OLED (without the discount I got it would've been and it doesn't come with a dock - had to purchase it separately for $80. That reminds me, the only hardware expense drawback for the Switch are the Joycons - still $80 bucks for a new set - AYKM! And your absolutely correct in calling them out for not having Hall Effect joysticks. As for games: Yeah the Nintendo exclusive titles tend to be a much higher price and only occasionally go on sale but the ported 3rd party titles and indies are many and frequently dirt cheap and pretty good for the most part. Really like my Steamdeck and still love my Switch so will probably get the Switch OLED or Super Switch next.

Simple, they could vastly increase the power of the Switch if it had an intensive cooling system directly on the CPU. The dock provides a PERFECT opportunity for Nintendo to address this issue. I wonder if they'll ever think of the Dock as being the graphics side of the system, while the device itself is still portable.
i always swap a to b on my switch because im used to the bottom most button being the choose thingy key. so yeah thats just gonna throw me off hard
wrong comment lol menat to reply to the one above this my bad
Im sure thwyve thought pf this with things like eGPUs and cooling grips for phones.
I think people are getting comfortable with technology now I mean they expect a lot out of companies but will barely put in the work themselves I mean don’t get me wrong it would be nice to have all these features on the switch 2 but it feels like we’ve all gotten comfortable like we take technology for granted sometimes cause nobody ever seemed to complain when the ps4 came out well at least I don’t remember but there’s probably a video out there of some guy rambling on about how he hates this and hates that.
If it can manage to make the same graphics as Playstation 5, that would be impressive.
Won't happen, then you litterly won't be able to play the new games in hand held mode.
7:57 Okay, so what happens when I want to play my Super Switch from docked to handheld, and my game cartridge is inserted in the dock? I think that's a bad design idea.
It will have the same effect as inserting the game out
DLSS 2.0 can only be added by the developers themselves and wouldn't be compatible with older switch games (unless specifically added in/updated for switch 2). It requires motion vectors to help the AI anticipate what will be in the following frames and prevent really brutal latency issues.
I’d assume older switch games would get a minor bump from the processing power increase (better framerates, 1080p)
Then there would be a lot of double dipping from developers rereleasing their titles with 4k, dlss, ray tracing and a little extra content for full price.
Maybe if we’re lucky we can get these games at a discount if you purchased the OG Switch copy already.
How easy or hard would it be to add those to older games? Ergo, would it be reasonable to assume, Nintendo might add it to games produced in-house like BotW?
I assume TotK would definitely support it, as it was a late release and they likely made it with upcoming technology in mind.
why not make a new switch and a powerful console to dock it in?
@@NeunEinserdepends on the game, if it already had taa its pretty easy to add in dlss. If it doesn't, than it's going to take a reworking of the game engine.
But it's kind of pointless, a 3 tflop machine @ 1ghz, isn't going to have trouble getting switch games, a 0.4 tflop machine, up to stable 1080p.
Nintendo needs to see this. I love all the ideas, especially the extra cartridges and power in the dock.

Don’t forget that the joycons need some kind of grip, instead of being a slim block it is now
at 3:39 you have the bit where you talk about the colors being used for the detatched joycons instead of button names.
They also forgot colorblind people exists, lol
@@CelestineTheConfused I'm pretty sure colorblindness is a myth...
Or they could rotate the “split pad” colors so they correspond to the right joycon’s buttons when the controllers are sideways! 🤯
yeah iirc nintendo has done that where if you use the sideways controller orientation any UI would change to be the right arrow as opposed to A, so im guessing they can do something similar
No one cares @@CelestineTheConfused
I want to know what "rumors" were circulating around even a few weeks before the original Switch reveal. Was any of it accurate?
The general stuff was accurate: a hybrid system with detachable controllers etc. But also a lot of nonsense lol
Yes
1:00 What is the song name? I remember it from my childhood
I heard theyre making two launch models, The First is a full digital (with LCD as mentioned) and the other will have increased storage, bigger screen etc and will feature an OLED screen.
I’m going for the more expensive one then with psychical support even though my library is all digital.
don't believe every rumor as fact
please explain to me why they would release a device with an IPS LCD screen in 2024? how does that in any way make sense? also digital consoles are disgusting and they wont release that as their only console their sales would drop into the fucking toilet bruh people hate that because YOU DONT OWN THE GAMES ur just licensing them

Dude that would actually be so aesthetically pleasing!
@@LemmySMM2into the tablet
The abbrivation would be a bit unfortunate though

Too much potential for lag. I prefer the physical dock connection every time.
@@RhythmGrizzyeah that was something that was ignored
2:55 spoil alert: it’s not. -2024
The wireless dock one is pretty good for an idea but if it’s the case the console itself would let you get more than 1 cartridge slot instead of the actual dock and it would let you play miitopia or tomodachi life just like it was in the 3DS era if it had the double screen feature
It’s literally the Wii u
We need a tomodachi life remake
7:09 What about the 3DS?
this video is really good. i didn't notice the button color thing before, but now you've got me convinced we're getting a "super switch" 😭
and i LOVE the idea of DS games using a wii-u like infrastructure for touch screen. i'm actually gonna be sad if this isnt implemented somehow, this video's got me all hopeful
No not a super switch
Super Nintendo Switch
And Super Nintendo Switch XL (Excellence)
Honestly, imagine how cool is would be to be able to use the portable bit as a second screen!
You’d have to rotate the split d pad colors, 180° to keep the colors consistent when playing with split joy cons

Then the super switch (yes I’m calling the switch 2, the super switch because snes and it sounds cool) better be getting a good battery
Speculation after playing around with original Wii Classic controller (no grip)
ZL and ZR are still digital triggers but the L and R buttons are analog.
People tend to chase patents for the basis of rumors and one patent of having mouse-like scroll wheels for shoulder buttons would be doable but I think Nintendo would like have flatter ZR/ZL to fit a battery that flushes well internally.

That fixes the incompatibility of some Switch games !
8:28 bro at this point is just a wii u again
Nintendo: Switch 2 is the same console with brighter screen. Take it or leave it.
I would love if they included a pen again along with the revival of FlipNote Studio or something else that warrants a stylus because personally loved to draw on the screen (just to add to that Nintendo DS inspired idea you mentioned 8:29 )
This sounds amazing, especially the wireless dock and better d pad. This genuinely looks like something Nintendo would make.
Great and interesting video. Also, Your dog barking in the background (5:49) that made me laugh a lot xd, really cute ^^
I really just want to see more put into raw power and speed. Stable 60+ fps, higher definition display…
Quite late to this video but Super Nintendo Switch would be such a killer name for their next gen console for sure.
I think the early 2024 release date may unfortunately change due to the geopolitical landscape shifting violently in the coming weeks. These conflicts will inevitably impact supply chains for electronic components and resources. Something to keep in mind as things are getting very serious in the Middle East/Asia regions.
oh my god
wait what? Explain plz
why would the middle east impact on supply chains for electronic components? they don’t have nor produce anything valuable to those components. in asia tensions aren’t as high, the only one being kind of with north korea and south korea, but we all know that the north loves to taunt the south and the west
Whole Bunch of fear mongering
@@LUN4RA Because components still need to be transported, and the most common form of transport is via cargo ships. With the Red Sea essentially a no-go zone as of late, that means cargo can't go thhrough the Suez canal and must instead take the long way around Africa. I thought it would probably be clickbait but man, this is really well done

Excellent video! I agree with all of your points made for the new docking system too! 0:35 correction, the PS5 also uses upscaling to achieve “4K” in most games.
Apple makes (well uses) some of the best LCDs in the market but u can’t compete against OLED especially at night. During the day or if there is some light around u don’t really notice a difference but night imo nothing looks better than OLED and I love playing my games on my Switch OLED.
Indeed. Perhaps MiniLED would be a good fit for Nintendo. Although, I don’t think the cost for the display tech is low enough yet

0:06 no fair name censored 😠
For the Switch 2 I want them to have a smooth UI for Nintendo ESHOP. jesus that app lags.
Buying the Switch made me addicted to handheld gaming exclusively. But after buying the Steam Deck, I can't go back to the prices Nintendo charges for games. I bought the Batman trilogy for $8 the other day.
3:52 it’d still be wrong though with the joy on flipped on its side
4:36 How small are your fingers??? My 6 year old niece can do that 😂
I know the prices of Nintendo games will probably go up but as a Canadian we spend 80 dollars just for a game. It’s just my idea but I think lots of people would appreciate lowered and varied prices but with the way things are going it looks like their only going to increase:(
I absolutely adore this.
This video is so well made and those ideas for improvement on the joycons are amazing!
Colored buttons is brilliant. Makes things much more accessible to people new to gaming.

I prefer Odin 4 or 5, that will emulate Switch-Games with ease or a new steamdeck...

cool ideas. another suggestion- IR pointers on both joycons for shooters.
Damn, this is very comprehensive and smart!!
Love the purple coloring in the mockup representing the snes and the colored buttons of the super famicom
problem with the crosspad button colors: they don’t match when the joycons are on their sides (right joycon has purple as the right button, but left joycon has yellow)
