I'm samoan and these great waiatas just takes me back to primary years, absolutely love the songs and will never forget how these beautiful melodies pave the way for my understanding of the Maori culture, im just thankful that I still get hear them in 2022.

Wenn man das hört, möchte man am liebsten eine polynesische Sprache lernen: Maori, tahitianisch, samoanisch oder hawaiianisch. Leider ist es mangels Lehrmaterial ziemlich schwierig. Ich vermute, die Texte der Lieder waren in der Sprache der Maori.
