- I received a gorgeous gift from Nancy that I am now using and loving! Please watch as I rummage around in this lovely purse full of excellent surprises!
Because the sounds were so luscious, I felt compelled to do both a talking and no-talking version. All of my responses are genuinely reenacted in the whispered version as I rewatched it with happiness and gratitude for such wonderful things!
The sounds are of purse rummaging, tinkling metals, tissue paper, lids, plastic crinkles, candy tasting & my whispering.

Just want to say I so appreciate you taking out the time to usually do two versions of your videos. Many Asmr content creators don’t take in account some of us prefer no whispering. I love your channel!
You are so welcome Ashly! I definitely am in the no-talking camp with you. My channel started out with only that. It was the people who liked voice that I was trying to accommodate. 😄

This is a lovely video. The jewel colours and the calm, steady pace of your movements are so soothing. What a kind person they were to give you such charming gifts! I picked this up just before 9pm, and as I've had such a fraught day (getting my landlord to fix my central heating system...all ok now thank goodness), I'm taking you to bed with me with a large mug of cocoa, for something really soothing and relaxing 😘.....

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction My belief is that the personality/chitchat of a particular ASMRtist is a huge component of the relaxation involved in ASMR. I don't know personally but I'd guess that no talking videos in general might have lower engagement. Though of course, I could be very wrong! Either way, love all your videos.
On my channel, I am more well-known for no talking videos.

I love this line in a Pride & Prejudice variation I'm reading, by Karalynne Mackrory. Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet are sitting next to each other. Apparently, ASMR was experienced even in the Regency Era. :-D

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction The P&P variation is called "Blinded By Prejudice". Karalynne Mackrory is a good writer, but I didn't like the Elizabeth Bennet depicted in this one. However, I save all the quotes that appeal to me in these Jane Austen Fan Fiction variations, and was especially thrilled to find this one. :-)

@@RebeccasBeautifulASMRAddiction Yes. There are a lot of "what ifs" that are explored. It's a whole literary genre. I think it started around 2001, with some bloggers and groups that shared stories. It has evolved into a never-ending stream of variations, most of which are free on Amazon, with Kindle Unlimited. I've read over 360 of them. Am I obsessed or what? The vast majority of them are clean romances, although there are a few racy ones. I don't read the bodice rippers. The clean ones get steamy sometimes, but not graphic. Many of these ebooks are very well written. They try to emulate the Austenesque style and customs of the Regency Era. If you are interested in exploring the genre, I would be glad to recommend the best authors and the titles of some of my favorites. They are addictive!
Edited to add that most of the variations are about Pride & Prejudice, but there are a few that mix in characters from Persuasion, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park, Sense and Sensibility, and Emma. Not many of those though.
It sounds like a unique phenomenon. I appreciate you sharing it with me. Probably won’t get time to read it. Can’t say that I read many books. I hope I don’t disappoint you Elizabeth. 😏
