Topo-Duos are just so much fun! I've owned an Eskimo Topo-Duo for well over two decades now, paddling it for several years with a close friend, but also using it to teach kids and friends how to paddle, or to take them down rivers that they weren't able to run on their own. The blowmolded HDPE plastic is also much stronger than the rotomolded plastic of my Bliss-Stick playboat. Even a tall (2,02m) and well over 100kg paddler like myself can fit in a Topo-Duo, with another tall paddler easily fitting in the front seat. That's something that the Nyami-Nyami, Jackson Dynamic Duo or Prijon 2B tandem kayaks all lack. I guess that the main downside of the Topo-Duo design is the lack of rocker, making it want to go deep if you go down a waterfall vertically.
Got to love the duo - bow just touching down as the stern clears the lip, no skip, all smash! Full redemption for that s*&t line by going solo on Trout Pool though!
Holy shit! Brook Macdonald kayaking! I love this mountain biker even more now! I saw his name, and wondered if it was him and damn! Brook - get in your own boat next. It's a lot like DHing - read the lines and hit it! WW is incredible! Zack - I want to see you take him down an easy class 2, maybe some easy 3 river. Get Brook to take up WW!
When my son and I were there in 2019 we wanted to do that run bit couldn't work it in. Reminds me of some of the rivers in the Pac NW of the US, White Salmon, Husum Falls and the like.
