Japan guide is a great resource for travel to Japan. I would never have thought about visiting some places without your vlogs. I wish you could add information about public transportation. I don't think you need to add a video but just a maps and some bus or train line info and the stops. Thanks again!

Thank you so much! We just finished Beppu to Kumamoto. We were looking for another road trip idea in Hokkaido. This is perfect. You go over and beyond informing people of the wonderful less touristy places of Japan, which to me are the best and showcase the essence of Japan.

Thank you Raina. Your videos are always great but I think this is your best video yet. I visited Noboribetsu in 2019, on a day trip from Sapporo using train and bus. I had read about it on the Japan-Guide website. I did the walk through Jigokudani to the sulphur lake and the foot baths so it was great to see it again in the video. I didn't get to the lakes. I look forward to visiting Hokkaido again after the pandemic. I also look forward to your next video.

That's the place where I belong, my natural environment and it's calling me. I already consulted your website for my 1st trip to Japan. Next year I will go for sure in Hokkaido, then I'll spend half a week in Tokyo and then I'll go to Kagoshima and Miyakojima. Thank you for your guide, I really appreciate it.

Hey, great choice of music, especially in the intro!
As a natural science student I always dream to visit volcanic areas and my two days in Hokkaido in 2019 couldn't give me everything I needed (yet), but thanks for giving detailed itinerarys as always and provide the best information!
One thing have I realized however, thinking back to my trip in 2019: When traveling domestically Japan, I would not use a car or a plane. Not just, because I don't have an (international) drivers license, but also for the sake of environment and sustainable mobility. I don't know if there are more people like me here, but I would absolutely looove to hear how to get to the sights of your videos by public transport (shinkansen and local trains) - let's say from Tokyo or by rental bike from the next town (if available). Because the thing I remember from Japan is, that it's super difficult to find information on that if you don't speak the language. Plus it might be inspiring some fellow travelers to travel more sustainably!
But even if you don't have the capacity to include those information or it just doesn't pay off - I'll be happy to continue watching your awesome content forever!

Hi James! Thank you so much for your nice and long comment, it's always very appreciated :)
Due to the infrequent bus connections inside the park and an absence of public transportation around Lake Shikotsu, we recommend using a rental to explore the area. However, if you cannot rent a car, we have access information for each popular spot in the national park on our dedicated page here: www.japan-guide.com/e/e6735.html
      Hope this helps!
