  • Lyndon Cooper is an expert in orofacial and dental rehabilitation, and oral biology. His research is patient orientated and focuses on advancing the areas of bone biology, adult stem cell bone regeneration and the clinical evaluation of dental implant therapies to improve patient care.Cooper earned a dental degree from New York University and a Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Rochester. He earned a certificate in prosthodontics from Eastman Dental Center and completed a fellowship at the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research. Prior to joining UIC, Cooper served on the faculty of the University of North Carolina. He is currently the Dean of Virginia Commonwealth University

    the presenter either didnt want to elaborate because of time constraints or for other reasons but the fact is recent studies have demonstrated that the so called thin amorphous layer between implant and bone doesnt exist. instead bone is in close approximation with implant.Branemark was right after all!!
    also could the speaker tell me why titanium is bone friendly so much so that it osseointegrates?
