I wish his Grave Digger special move wasn't a gear ability. You can do some sick 50/50s with it since its a low grab. Your opponent can always block the overhead and punish/counter all your grabs with a 6-7f d1 into a combo. db2 and dbf3 should've been a mid and unblockable so it forces your opponents to back dash and allows hellboy to use his leaps again and continue with his pressure.

Could someone explain how Hellboy's dbf3 cancelled from a f2 will connect? I thought that command grabs cancelled from strings don't work if the opponent blocks or is in standing hitstun, but this vid just proved that thought wrong.
Some normals/strings have less blockstun than others, so if you cancel them into command grab the blockstun will wear off before the command grab hits. This is called a "tick throw".
I feel like it'd be hard to condition your opponents to let all the air shit fly. Ik me personally I've been anti airing the dog shit out of hellboys online even tho I'm sure most of them aren't experts lol
It had a few do that. It didn't condition me much tho. I just expect he's gonna do it at anytime and don't try to wrecklessy zone. Instant air 1 catches him a lot.
I just dodge forward and go under it everytime and it never hits, and his combos are so predictable its pathetic. He either does 22 overhead or b12, the latter doesnt even lead into that much damage. Everything else can be blocked standing.
If your opponent's respecting your move then they are going to sit there and block, whereas disrespecting a move means they don't care and will try to do anything to get out of that situation.

That "regular combo" is probably the more execution heavy bnb's in the game. Hate to be that guy, but he needs it.

I think Hellboy is sick. He is such a bully when he gets in. He builds so much meter. That shoulder charge is part of his main game plan.

I think it means if your opponent didn’t interrupt your move
