Me too! I can't believe he had throat cancer years ago, and was victorious over it, anyway, I met him at fanboy expo Orlando 2 months ago, and let me tell you, he and Jess Harnell are the sweetest people you could ever meet, I once asked him could he count the many times Brain had bopped Pinky, and he said (as Pinky) that he guessed about 111 times that Brain had bopped him over the years, the man is hilarious whether he's voice acting or not!

I'm happy Rob, Jess, Tress, and Maurice, as well as Randy Rogal and Spielberg, are all working together again. I know this was a pipe dream for them for many years. Having said that, I couldn't get into season 1. Maybe hiring a Family Guy writer wasn't the right approach. Maybe completely ignoring and publicly dismissing the original series creator/them song cowriter/character designer Tom Ruegger was a heartless move. Please bring Tom back, WB. Your show will be better for it.

While I'm glad that it looks like Scratchansniff will have more to do, I'm still waiting (most likely in vain) for the return of the rest of the original cast, especially Slappy Squirrel. Also, it's really unfair what they did to Hello Nurse. I mean, yes, her character is problematic, but at least near the end of the original show, they gave her more of a personality.
Plus she really is not all that problematic. I mean that she is not just a sexy airhead in a nurses uniform her character literally has an I.Q. of 192. That is genius level right there.

_The Simpsons_ and _Family Guy_ have run for over 15 seasons, and look what happened to them. The shows declined in quality, and they make more bad episodes than good episodes now. I love _Animaniacs,_ and I'm so happy to see it back. But I would never want the series to run past its prime and become just another animated comedy that people are begging to be canceled.
I personally think that the Animaniacs reboot should ideally run for 4 or 5 seasons. It's long enough to explore funny ideas and creative concepts without getting stale. If the show still remains excellent during its 5th season, maybe I could see it making a 6th, 7th, or 8th season, but I honestly can't think of any animated show that has gone on for more than 8 seasons that still routinely makes great episodes. By the ninth season, the show's stories usually get dumber, the jokes aren't as funny, and the show adds more gross humor and mean-spirited humor to get cheap laughs. Basically, I only want _Animaniacs_ to run as long as it makes good episodes.
If things continue to bode well for this reboot; hopefully in the future, we'll get the rest of the OG cast back...somehow

They sound like they've aged in the reboot (the voice actors), which they're in their 60s now so it makes sense. It's not bad, they just sound more raspy.
Yea, Rob and Tress especially. Yakko and Dot don't sound as higher pitched as they used to.

...I'm one of the few but...I kinda wish they recast. It's the same issue I have with Mel Blanc and Casey Kasem's later performances as looney tunes and shaggy; the older voices do not fit the designs. It's jarring. Heck I even had that issue with mark hamill's joker in killing joke, it didn't feel natural hearing a older raspier joker from a 30 year old looking body

Season One Spoiler Alert
Chicken Boo, disguised as a hunter, hunted down all of the Animaniacs cast and displayed their heads as trophies. Then he went after the Warners, who somehow brought the rest of the cast back to life. The cast then chased Chicken Boo out of town.
This being a Warner Brothers production, where getting flattened into an accordion or hit by a falling anvil is only a temporary inconvenience, a mere decapitation followed by taxidermy is no big deal.
The animation here seems a little rougher than last season
