The episode Yashime 4 preview has been a hot topic in the Yashahime: Half-Demon Princess fandom community, so this is our continuation from our last video: WHO IS IN THE TREE?! | Yashahime Theory| Episode 4 Preview Explained.
Late last night a photo was shown on the official Yashahime Twitter account that appears to be Rin who has been trapped in the tree! So here we discuss if our theory has been CONFIRMED, how it works in the overall storyline of the show, the relation of how the tree that was once Inuyasha and Kagome's marker of love and romance fits with Rin, Sesshomaru, Towa, and Setsuna, and what that may mean for SesshomaruxRin, Sango, Miroku, Shippo, and our other favorite characters! Holy shitttttt!!!! I watched the preview and holy mother of god!!! Rin is indeed the mother!!! Jeeesssuuuss christ. Though pne sad thing. Seshomaru hates his children idk why tho?
Oh another theory is that a problem with Sesshomaru and Rin's relationship is age. Sesshomaru will age slowly while she would grow old and eventually die. Rin still looks 17, the time she gave birth to the twins. So the tree is preventing her from aging. What if Rin being in the tree for 14 years....she absorbed the power and it prevents her from aging...getting her wish of wanting to be with Sesshomaru forever. Sesshomaru can't bare the thought of losing Rin....he more likely is doing EVERYTHING to get her back...especially as they would be lovers....husband/wife.
I really hope we get flashbacks on their romance...and a SesshRin kiss.
The ongoing theory right now is that Rin was in a critical state during childbirth and as a desperate measure she was put in the tree (idk how lmao) cuz it IS the tree of ages right so like she was put there until sesshomaru finds out how to save her because he was seen leaving the village with twins shortly AFTER they were born as kaede said but something also happened to him resulting in all this mess.

Someone on twitter posted that Rin is probably wearing a birth kimono. When Sango gave birth to her son in the last episode of the final act she was wearing a white kimono. They added a screenshot of that scene and compared it to Rin's kimono in the tree. I also think the eye that appears in the clip is Sesshomaru on his demon form. The tree may be used as a life force to keep her alive. Ugh..so many theories!!😩
But someone compared it to Root head and it actually looks the same eyes.😭

Root head is looking for the shikon jewel but since it doesn’t exist anymore the only thing that resembles the powers of the shikon jewels are the ones that Towa, setsuna and moroha have in their eyes. It would make sense of either Rin or kagome are the woman in the tree, because their daughters have the jewels that root head is after.
I'm just saying if they kill off rin before she meets her children (if she's the mom) I'm going to rampage😂😂

I couldn't care less I wanted Kagura to be the mother. Setsuna makes 0 sense with her wind powers. It's a kick in the teeth to Kagura x Sesshomaru shippers and I know she's dead so don't try to bring that up.

MAYBEEEE just maybeeee, because Kagome and Rin look similar root head could have thought that Rin was Kagome. Because root head was after the shikon jewel he could have sensed the rainbow pearls while Rin was pregnant. It could be likely root head thought that the rainbow pearl was infact the shikon jewel and tried to take Rin away. Btw , this did not happen near by the village were Kagome was. It was near the tree of ages. Sessomaru could have tried to save Rin but was too late. Remember when Kikiyo's soul was taken away in the Inuyasha anime, it could be the case Kikiyo sealed herself away in the tree of ages and while the battle continued Rin gave birth and instead of letting Rin die Kikiyo could have sealed her away in the tree of ages hoping for the daughters of Sessomaru to come and save Rin. After that Sesshomaru could have appeared and took the twins to the village. Guys the name Setsuna and Towa is actually linked to time in Japanese this must mean something must have happened about time ( the tree of ages) this is my theory
so wait.... when the girls were living in the forest in the beginning and they slept under the tree... were they trying to be close to their mom? 🥺

Ok here is my theory: you can clearly see that rin is wearing the same kind of clothes sango wore, while she was giving birth to her son hisui. And we know that sesshoumaru took his twins shortly after their birth (its confirmed their were born in kaedes village) with him. If you look closely you can see that rin is a lot smaller then “kikyou“ and she still looks very young. Remember rin was 11 in the epiloge chapter and yashahime takes place 20 years later after said epiloge, so that means rin would be 31 now. But she DOESNT look like that age. She still looks like a teenager and if we do the math rin was 17 when she got the twins (if shes the mother). We know the twins are 14. 31-14=17. Thats the age sealed away rin still looks like. So my theory is now: Something went wrong during the birth of the twins and rin was about to die bc of birth complications. And thats why kagome had to seal rin into the tree to prevent her from dying, frozed her in time till they found a cure for her. And I think the rainbow pearls play a part in that “finding a cure“ quest, so sesshoumaru and inuyashas gang tried to find all the pearls to safe rin, but during their journey something terrible happened and everyone was seperated from each other.
That is valid. Most 100% accurate. I almost feel like I was reading my comment. But I go with Sota who is the same age as Rin or a year old. He had to be 20 to be able to adopt Towa. (Japanese laws). Has it been confirmed 20? I have some many claim that and I want to believe that. Especially Inuyasha just celebrated 20 years. I just used Sōta to guess the time jump.
When I Watched 1-3 and with the official content. I felt villain or hostage situation I can see your theory it could happen.
What Rin is wearing is a Juban. a Juban is an undergarment for the kimono. It is used to sleep, gave birth in, and few other reasons. I have to remember which episode but Kagome is showed in one.
Also Since it is conform to be Rin. I think that is support for her being the mother. One he never went back to the village and Sesshomaru moved them to Inuyasha’s forest. That is were they were when they were four to be close to Rin. Towa’s flashback she is sent to Kagome’s home in the future by the sacred tree. Not unless another sacred tree sent her to that sacred tree in the future. Every thing is fitting with her being the mother of the twins.
ok...I don't disagree...but....has it really been twenty years? Hisui looks about 15-16 and in episode 3, if you don't look at the subtitles, kaede said "its already been 15 years." But theres more evidence to Rin being the mom than her not being the mom, so the only thing I could point out was that Hisui was 2-3 in episode 1 so did twenty years really pass?
I just hope the WHOLE OLD CAST IS OKAY AND WILL BE SHOWN ATLEAST ONCE THAT THEY R OKAY😭😭😭😭😭

I think the plot of this show is gonna be how to get rin and kagomes lives extended/turning them into half demons. Them turning into half demons is how its gonna end. I'm calling it.

I am so glad I found you two sisters! I love watching your Yashahime videos. I believe Rin is indeed alive in the tree, however she may have been put there to keep her from dying. She is wearing a kimono that is used for childbirth so she may have been in danger of dying after giving birth and placed there to keep her alive. She could also be a hostage of the root demon and be suspended in a sort of between worlds. This would keep Sess from destroying the tree and the root demon. Its hard to say, but I think one of these two things are happening. I can't wait till Saturday to find out if the new ep tells us. Looking forward to future videos from you girls as well, they always make me smile.

They better come up with an amazing storyline for Inuyasha and Kagome. After watching the episode it makes sense that they placed Rin there since it’s kind of a useless spot for anyone to be in and Rin was never much of a fighter. But we are getting absolutely no Inuyasha and Kagome time. Sure, they’re being intentional about this, but even in the original series Sesshomaru and Rin had a decent amount of screen time, so if Inuyasha and Kagome are side characters in this, they should give them the same treatment. In this episode there were several times where they could’ve talked about Inugome but didn’t. It’s as though they’re being completely ignored. And now the sacred tree, which was supposed to be their connection, is now a portal that contains demons, Rin, etc. I like the story but I really wish they stop ignoring the OG characters
It seems like they are doing it on purpose, since they easily revealed that the twins are Sesshomaru's daughters.
Maybe, just maybe is Rin the one who send Towa to future to save her from fire if she is one in the tree?? Also, how twins know their names, how to talk and have clothes if they were alone from birth??

Ahh. Im saying this, in line with the theory that Rin is inside the tree of ages for preservation(?). With InuKimi's line kinda foreshadowing that something major leading to her death will happen to Rin again. Of course it's a big deal, she IS important to Sesshomaru. Like yeah its now a fact nothing can revive her back, but Sesshomaru or idk found a loophole to use the tree to keep her alive. Or idk I also have this idea that maybe she is sealed inside by the enemy, unfortunate yes, but in a way it's keeping her alive so.. 50-50?
When Inuyasha was pinned on the tree for 50 years his physical body was attached to the tree. But on the preview, it looks like it was Rin's spirit.. so is she really dead or sealed inside the tree? I dont know what to expect. But I'm sure I'm on the boat with everyone who dont want her dead without meeting her *assumed* daughters and husband 😂

@@ciiem674 Yeah maybe she is sealed inside by the enemy. I feel like her health situation is kind a 50-50. Everyone is considering that she is vering a birth kimono. So when she gave birth she was in a weak condition. Root head saw her condition and maybe thought about capturing her.
There’s also someone saying that maybe the tree is Sess protecting Rin. Maybe, maybe not. But I think if they saved her, thought about putting her in the tree. If not, then maybe the demon did? Idk.
To be honest I don’t really know. I’m just reading all these theories and a lot of them are actually very good. It’s fun just to think about what the possibilities are, what could’ve happened and what’s the rest to come. It’s all just a mystery that we are trying to resolve like we are Sherlock Holmes or something lol.

I grew up with Inuyasha! Was one of my first anime’s ever. So, I’m psyched that there’s ACTUALLY a follow up to their story.
*But, not gonna lie...I’m pretty disappointed that it’s not mainly centered around the original group’s lives after Naraku.*

If it is true that Rin being inside the Tree of Ages, frozen in time due to whatever cause that can endanger her life again and Sesshomaru is the one who has put her there until he can figure out a way to save her then it reminds me of the scene in Batman & Robin (1997 film) where Mr Freeze's wife is frozen by her husband until he finds a way to cure her if I'm not mistaken. It is a moving scene where Mr Freeze, though he is a villain, feels that his world mean nothing without his wife and such strong devotion of a spouse to do whatever he can in order not to lose his beloved wife. Perhaps this is what Sesshomaru has been experiencing since 14 years ago ?? Sad, tragic and ironic at the same time considering how his disdain for humans is well known.
The kimono Rin is wearing reminds me of that episode of Inuyasha where Kikyo first starts stealing the souls of dead women. The village woman that the soul collectors were after was wearing something very similar.

Rin seems to be wearing a all white kimono which back in those times was normal to do when giving birth. In episode 3 we saw Sesshomaru heading somewhere with the twins as newborns remember? I think Root Head is going after all the main old cast as a way to try and recreate the sacred jewel which we know from episode 1 Root Head was obsessed with wanting the jewel to gain its power. And it seems these new pearls are part of the plan of making a new jewel since we saw it powers up demons when they fought centipede. Rin having just given birth would have been weak when Root Head went after them and I could see Rin begging/telling Sesshomaru to take the babies and leave and not to worry about her. I feel that's why he had the newborn twins and was taking them somewhere safe than probably went back to save Rin but Root Head already sealed her away and in his efforts to save Rin he too got sealed away which is why Sesshomaru is missing as well.
I think Rin is sleeping and that Sesshomaru and his daughters will save her.
Am I the only one thinking that Kagome and Inuyasha got sealed away? Remember in the first episode how they were talking about a tale of Inuyasha and Kagome and how the village head heard it exactly 10 years ago. That was also the time that the forset fire happened and Towa was sent in the present era. This could mean that Inuyasha and Kagome were sealed away. Taking the factors in Inuyasha's daugher is clearly younger than Setsuna and Towa. It could be the case she was born during the forest fire or she could have been very young when it happened so she can't remember. It could be the case that a very dangerous demon or just root head who was gaining power from the the tree of ages. Also all the demon slayers didn't recognize Moroha. They were also suprised to hear Setsuna was sesshomaru's daughter. To add to that they talked about Inuyasha and Kagome very little. It would be smart to send Kagome and Inuyasha to deal with Root Head because they were the ones who defeated it last time. We could come to a conclussion that Inuysha and Kagome is dead ( this is very unlikely because killing significant characters will destroy the plot). This could mean they will be introduced soon. Lol it is pretty obvious that moroha doesn't know her parents because she didn't state that she was cousins with Towa and Setsuna
My theory is Rin probably tried to go through the portal herself after Towa and got stuck? And the butterfly demon is a consequence of those actions? hmmm... idek anymore!

To think of that, the twins live in the forest and there's a scene where they sleep under the tree, is that the tree of ages? It feels like they are sleeping to their mothers lap that was root of the tree. If I'm correct then it will be a heartwarming to know that their mother is with them when they sleep. I hope so, that Rin is inside not Kagome. I also wish that Kago was still alive.

I love your enthusiasm!!!!!!!! I'm also assuming it's Rin because there was a scene recently that showed Sesshomaru being in the same vicinity as the tree. And the spirit that borrowed Kikyo's appearance said something like, 'are you going to forsake her?'. First, usually that's the favorite line of previous antagonists towards Sesshomaru when they ALWAYS KIDNAP Rin. Rin was almost always the 'bait' to lure Sesshomaru in, and some of those anatagonists would taunt him. This time around, I'm not sure exactly if the spirit was taunting him or merely reminding him that the lady in the tree will struggle if he abandons her. I assume it's Rin because... honestly, Rin is the only human person Sesshomaru allows himself to be in close proximity to him. Otherwise, this is an entirely new character we don't know. I'm still anticipating the plot twists here and the creators did say not to miss a scene when asked what happened to our favorite characters in Inuyasha. I appreciate the mystery. I'm so happy to meet fellow enthusiasts online😊❤️

Ok I like this theory so to add on to this I'm going to say I think Sesshomaru after he takes the twins away when they are born, he comes back to retrieve Rin only to find out she's missing. He may not know that Root Head is in the tree nor still alive for that matter. Also, Kikyo says in the episode 4 preview that she needs help from the daughters of Sesshomaru, what if, she needs them to inform Sesshomaru where Root Head is and also how to get Rin out and the clues on how to help defeat Root Head/help Rin is in the Rainbow Pearls.
Sesshoumaru got himself a classic Hikaru Genji romance. It's cute.
If that’s Rin in the tree, and she had on the birthing kimono signifying that she had just given birth at the time of being sealed in the tree, then Rin has not aged since being sealed. If true, then this is great storytelling as always and a good way to potentially keep Sesshomaru & Inuyashas wives “young”, as Kagome likely can not age until she catches up with the era she is from. I don’t know if this has ever been discussed through the story, but Kaede managed to live longer than she should have. These days, it’s normal to live well into and beyond her age but during the time period that Inuyasha/Yashahime is set in, life expectancy in Japan was about 50 years. And the writer made sure that Inuyasha is rich in history. At the time of the show beginning Kaede was going into her 60s and is now in her early 70s. It would make sense to me that Kaede uses the tree in some way to stay alive. If other people’s theories about Sesshomaru willingly putting Rin into the tree, maybe Kaede told him or it got to him that the tree can keep people alive. Of course he would never tell her though, and so she doesn’t know what’s going on.
Someone in the comments said that it’s not Kikyo with Rin in the tree but Kagome. I don’t think so because Kagome stopped wearing her hair tied back like Kikyo at the end of the final act, signifying that she has become her own person in that era. And it further goes with the idea that Rin might actually have been dying, because she would be in the process of crossing over into the afterlife of a priestess, where Kikyo already is.
Then again, it could be something else COMPLETELY 😂
It is not Kikyo or Kagome. It is the spirit of the tree taking Kikyo’s form. I think I read where the voice of Kikyo talked about her feelings about coming back to voice for Kikyo.
Kaede is older. It has not been 10 years but about 20. Sōta is 8 or 9. In the final he is 11 or 12. In this when he meet Towa he had to be over 20 to adopt Towa (Japanese laws). Rin and Sota are the same age or he is one year older. It is like 6 years. Moroha and the twins are born then 14 years after. Make Rin 17ish when she give birth to the twins.
Kaede I am not sure about her. Her dialogue seemed off and I think some of the things she said was .... mmm strange? I don’t some things don’t make sense. Kohaku not recognize Setsuna is a half demon or the mokomoko. Not recognizing Moroha’s outfit or who she looks like. . It has been 14 years he should had heard about what happened and know of the twins or about Moroha. His Nephew should had been living in the village when Moroha and the twins were born. He would had been 7 ish. The rite thing and going to a human village clashes for me. Some one claimed she misinformed them as well. Your Kagome not aging theory is impressive, but I don't think it's the case. Time in both eras have passed simultaneously, so ofc Kagome would age. If this theory was true, why did Towa age while she was in the modern era? Sorry to debunk, but it would be a bit off if Towa aged in modern Japan and Kagome didn't in the feudal era.

I am reserving judgment that it could possibly be Kagome until on the show it is confirmed that is Rin and not Kagome, because frankly the animation of the original characters was just a bit weird in the first episode. Also if that is Rin then there is something very VERY important missing and that is her mini top knot ponytail.
Although if that is Rin but that doesn't mean Kagome couldn't be stuck in a tree of ages just not the Goshinboku, cause I am basing that on the promo art of Inuyasha and Sesshomaru in the background and Inuyasha is staring at a tree. So if the theory of the original characters trapped/sealed in the rainbow pearls by Yotsume still holds true then maybe Rin's body is in the Goshinboku but her soul is trapped in the yellow pearl.
I think the story is about the three girls mainly, nobody by their selves. And i want kagome back!!. In the opening, you can see three jewel, representing the three girls.

I think it was obvious it's not Kagome besides the hair looking totally different. I mean it's ep 3 what do people think that Sunrise will just go "here is Kagome, Inuyasha, Rin etc enjoy" 🤣. The whole point of the show is that the 3 girls need to search for their parents. We will probably know where Inukage and Sesshu by the end of season 1 or season 2 (if we will support the show)

I am glad it was Rin cuz i totally agreed that looked like her. She couldve been placed inside to try and bring her to the present to help get her better so she doesnt die and because the tree was tainted at the time with the root head she got stuck. that or it could be some other reason. I dont think the tree is just Inuyasha and Kagome's thing. they had the boneeater well as their thing. Besides we dont even have full context of why shes in there so whos to say its going to be a huge thing except for a reason for her disappearance. Inuyasha and Kagome had the first whole season, they can be put on the side lines for now. This is going to be a Sessh/Rin thing with their children and more importantly then InuKag, their daughter Moroha. Im sure we wil get some stuff on Moroha after all this is settled but its what is important at the moment.

Rin not dead, dream butterfly and the sacred tree are holding Rin to keep S dog in check at first but then he's starting to forsake her since he can't defeat the other demon and might need to get help from Inuyasha but him and Kagome are sealed in the perls. My thoughts!
When the tree asked them to defeat S dog they took it to literally but she ment rescue him from himself not kill him. This is so good already, loving the new shows and having to guess again what happens. Fan theories and videos of my all time fav show giving me goose bumps lol.

I think it’s Kagome in full priestess power guarding Rin.
Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikiyo.
So she might be the only one who can cast the sleeping spell and trapping time.

Actually the story will go about the daughters mainly.
It’s not lame to die.
It will be lame if a human can cheat death for 3 times like a joke.
Even Sesshomaru is not immortal.
But it could be possible if the plot goes like this.
Rin is dying, still breathing barely and Sesshomaru put her in time-tree to stop the time for her while he’s going around to find a solution to make her survive.
If Rin is already dead, the plot will go like.... Sesshomaru still can’t accept losing the loved one. He can see her for one last time and Rin will make him understand how it has to let go in life like she naturally made him understand about Love. Or he’ll go with her.
But we have to wait and see.
Basically it was a mentioned that Rin was a potential priestess on another video, as well as the show being about 3 half demon princesses.

So I do have a thought or theory:
If this show is going to be centered around the twins. Could this mean we would finally have more flashbacks of sesshomaru’s father Toga because that would be amazing! And sesshomaru did know more of his father than Inuyasha. 🤓😆

I believe also that Root Head has others helping him by probably promising them their own jewel of power which could be why there are multiple "jewels" this time around instead of just the one. In episode one if you look closely Yotsume the four eyed owl demon is actually the one who brings the small remaining piece of Root Head to the Tree of Ages for him to attach to! I also believe that new character with the red brown hair that's on the first poster of Yashahime as well as in the opening could be the human form of the dream butterfly who is the cause of all this memory loss. That could be why Sesshomaru was over whelmed when returning to Rin to save her after getting the newborns away is that Root Head had help. As we know Root Head was scared of Sesshomaru's power but if he had help and went after Sesshomaru during the time his kids were being born that would be a perfect time to seal him away. I do believe Sesshomaru and Rin were the first to be sealed than the others. And it's all part of whatever plan Root Head is planning in order to in some ways bring back jewels with the power the scared one once had!

I always thought what if both Rin and Kagome were in the tree or tied to it. I still firmly believe that the Rainbow pearls are hiding/sealing something to do with the og cast. Maybe Kagome is sealed in the (green) pearl and is tied to the tree somewhere with Rin. I find that to be interesting because it would keep the focus on Sesshomaru (since that's what Yashahime is about) but also tie in the og cast as well. Just random thoughts.

She took care of herself when with him, and half the time he wasn't even with her. He only provided protection and occasional companionship.
So If Rin is the mother (which at this point- its basically canon) that would mean they fell in love later on in her adult life.

Ok, so I've been thinking a lot about this, trying to break down what we know so we can make sense of the plot:
1. Towa remembers Setsuna, and that Setsuna is her sister and they were separated by a fire.
2. Towa doesn't remember Sesshomaru or her mother (which is most probably Rin), but we're led to believe Towa's memory wasn't tampered with, so were the twins separated from their parent/s at a very early age?
3. Towa and Setsuna seemed to have been without parents since they were small, HOWEVER it DOES seem someone took care of them since they had clothes/kimonos???
4. Setsuna doesn't remember anything about her past
5. Setsuna has a mokomoko which she didn't have when she was separated from Towa, but DID have when she suddenly appeared in Kaede's village
6. Sesshomaru took his newborn twins and wasn't seen since by Kaede, she never said anything about the twins' mother tho - so that's a huge mystery they didn't wanna share yet
7. The kimono Setsuna has when she appears in Kaede's village is the same-looking one from when she was small - however it fits her size now too
8. Setsuna came to Kaede for a "rite of courage and cowardice", however despite having the mokomoko at the time, I don't think it was Sesshomaru who sent her to do that. Who knows, maybe her grandma? We don't know it she KNEW she was Sesshomaru's daughter when she came to the village or her memories were already taken away.
9. Kaede never mentioned that Setsuna acted weird and didn't remember her father....
10. Setsuna was sent specifically to Kaede - but by who?
11. It APPEARS as though Kaede, Kohaku and Hisui all know who Sesshomaru is and remember everything, but you have to wonder....
12. None of them mention anything about Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku, Sango or Rin - I wonder why.
13. Kohaku doesn't appear to know Setsuna is Sesshomaru's daughter despite her training with him and being a demon slayer for years now. How did it not come up in a conversation?! She has a mokomoko like Sesshomaru!
14. Moroha doesn't mention anything about her parents either, but I think next episode we'll find out something about that.
So we have all these clues, I think we can try and build a theory upon them.
On another note, Towa and Setsuna are half-demons, but have nearly NO characteristics, unlike Moroha who's only a 1/4 demon and has sharp claws from what I've seen. I find that very odd since Sesshomaru is an EXTREMELY powerful demon-lord so you'd think his demon-blood would be very dominant in them both.
11. I think there is some memories lost. I have it wrote out. I will look for it and post it.
14. It is officially said she does not know her parents and she lived alone most of her life.
I noticed that with Towa and Setsuna I wonder if they have a spell or something on them. I hope they explained why they don’t have features like others do.
When they were four they were in Inuyasha’s forest. Towa is sent to Kagome’s home by the sacred tree.
Kaede I am not sure about her. Her dialogue seemed off and I think some of the things she said was .... mmm strange? I don’t some things don’t make sense. Kohaku not recognize Setsuna is a half demon or the mokomoko. Not recognizing Moroha’s outfit or who she looks like. . It has been 14 years he should had heard about what happened and know of the twins or about Moroha. His Nephew should had been living in the village when Moroha and the twins were born. He would had been 7 ish. The rite thing and going to a human village clashes for me. Some one claimed she misinformed them as well.
